This place gets 10 stars!!!! I tried the bistek tacos, hot Cheetos preparadas , and fresas con crema. The presentation of the food was great and the taste of everything was superb!!! I will be going back and I highly recommend giving this place a try! Next time I'm getting a torta.

Been here several times and every time I go, I try something different. There's really not one item that I can recommend more than others because they are all delicious and fresh. The place is small, possibly enough for about 10 people to sit down inside so any large parties should be aware of this. Also, it is located on the backside of the gas station and can be easily over looked. The ladies inside have been friendly and quick to serve our orders. The fruit cups are great. Fruit is always fresh and the chamoy is yummy. Also, the brisket nachos are delicious and a quick meal for someone that's hungry.

Elote (halfway eaten, there was crema and cheese on top I promise) and brisket nachos (jalapeños not pictured)

Delightful family owned spot in Fate. We ordered an elote and brisket nachos. Great spot for a snack or a quick bite. Will definitely be back to try the tortas and other food!

Best shakes, really good tortas and snacks. We come here for dinner or just to get some fresh fruit. We've had the brisket and ham Torta, love the bread they use and they're generous with the amount of brisket and ham. Very tasty! Okay the shakes are the best!! You can't go wrong with them, any flavor you choose will be very good. The elotes, mangonada, bananas splits are good too. Awesome customer service as well, the young lady at the counter is very nice.

Café Chamoy is a small, Mexican snack store that my sister had discovered when craving an Elote. This is my second visit here, and I have yet to leave displeased. I ordered a small Elote and it was honestly one of the best ones I've ever had! They do a great job of balancing the mayo and the cheese all while giving you options for hot sauce. There are 3 different sizes, (all reasonably priced) but a small is enough for me. I also ordered Fresas con Crema and it was delicious! The creme is a subtle sweet, sweet enough, but not too much. My only thing would be the amount of strawberries they put, because I personally like the creme more than the actual fruit. Overall, I definitely recommend visiting this café. I promise you won't be disappointed!

***UPDATE : we tried the brisket nachos, and it was a huge portion for only $6.99 topped with fresh queso, brisket, jalapeños, cilantro, & sour cream Adding their hot sauce made it even better AMAZING HOLE IN THE WALL SPOT. Cute little shop with lots of snacks such as ice cream, cookies, muffins, and classic Mexican foods like tacos, tortas, quesadillas, and elotes!! The staff is insanely friendly and so sweet. Will be coming back often!!! I think we found our new go to spot I got the frescas con crema, medium elote, one brisket and one chicken taco. Each item was SO delicious and I'm not even over-exaggerating! Everything was decently priced as well.

    Some of their menu!

Hidden Gem! I've had their Corn in a cup and it was creamy and not watery as that happens when they scoop the corn in a cup and do not strain properly. I went back and also tried there brisket nachos and brisket tacos and once again my family loved it. Our next trip there we are trying there tortas!!!

    Rusas- delicious !

What a great little gem in downtown Fate! Super yummy Mexican treats and friendly service. We tried the mangonada, nachos, rusas and elotes, everything was fresh and delicious! We will be back for sure.

A week later and I am still thinking about the delicious food and fantastic service! We didn't wait…read moresuper long for a table and the hosts were great. We took my dad to dinner and he complained that it was a little loud, but felt like we sat right under a speaker. I explained to him that it was part of the "vibe". Other than the volume making it difficult to hear, everything was fantastic. We probably could have asked to sit on the heated patio. The chips were warm and fresh and came with both red and green salsa, and both were super tasty. My husband asked if I could make salsa like that at home! We ordered drinks and they came quickly. I appreciated the quality of the drinks especially since we mostly ordered from their drink menu. We ordered "The Good Guac" to start and our server made sure that it wasn't too spicy or anything for my dad. I thought that was very thoughtful that she asked if how it came was ok. For food we ordered street tacos, Baja fish tacos and the parillada en fuego. The food runner seemed confused and brought us another dish (maybe the Verde molcajete) but with the loud music the message that we didn't order it was lost in translation. My husband thought maybe it was what he ordered and started in. Because our server came to check on us so quickly, she caught the mistake right away. She apologized profusely and said they were bringing what we ordered. They allowed us to keep the dish, and no sooner did we have a few bites of the deliciousness the correct food came out. They checked on us quickly, apologized profusely, brought the correct food immediately, let us keep the other food, sent another manager to apologize and finally followed up with coupons to return after making sure we were satisfied with how they handled it. I understand humans make mistakes, so I feel like the recovery or response is what is important. This is the type of amazing service that will keep us coming back. We were actually happy with the mistake as we were able to try another dish we likely wouldn't have ordered (but ended up being our favorite thing to eat). The ambiance was fun, parking was easy, the wait was reasonable, the service was FANTASTIC, the food was delicious and food/drinks were made with quality ingredients. We'll be back!

I've got a mixed review of Vidorra. At the end of the day, I don't think I'll be going back but…read morethat doesn't mean it was all bad. First, the good. Well, the good was definitely the chips and salsa. The chips were lightly dusted with some seasoning. I didn't take the time to figure out what it was, but it gave them a nice kick. So subtle but so significant. Unfortunately, my experience kind of dipped from there. Service was slow and a bit inattentive. I got the Molcajete parrillada en fuego. The literal translation is mortar grilled over fire. I should have asked what that meant because most Molcajete dishes are heated over fire. What it means at Vidorra is cook the meat, drop a hot coal in the mortar and put the cooked meat with a little mole on a grill screen over the mortar. It's basically a fajita dish served on top of the mortar bowl. However, it doesn't stay warm. Needless to say, I was disappointed. That said, the verde Molcajete that someone else got looked as expected. No one else (there were six of us) raved about their food. So, I'm in no rush to head back.
