Oh yes, we will be back. Fresh made breakfast to order and Menudo and Pozole on Saturdays. I didn't get to try the ice cream, but looked so good! Service was great. Takes a minute on food. Why? Because they are making it fresh right there. So good! We had a burrito, menudo, sopes- all great!

Great really fast service along with wonderful food! Recommended to anyone who is looking for a delicious meal! We had the torta cubana and hamburguesa and they were magnificent!

Location: Clean, well ventilated, did not smelled like food as they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. The tables and booths/chairs were wiped cleaned. The floor was clean and no trash. Easy to find in the shopping center they are located at. Very colorful inside. Staff: The ladies are sweet and respectful. Willing to help and answer all you questions. They offered samples before you buy like fresh waters and ice creams. They were clean when they were preparing my food and wore gloves for sanitation reasons. Food: they have a variety of goodies from fresh waters, homemade ice creams, fresh fruits, Mexican goodies and of course your tortas, tacos, gorditas and sopes. Quesadillas, flautas and borritos as well. The food menu is quiet large so for sure there is something to eat for everyone. They offer desserts like fresas con crema, flan, cheesecake and a chocolate cake... oh and gelatinas :D Quality/Portions:everything that was coming out behind that counter looked and smelled fresh. Honestly!! I am surprised how they could combined having fresh fruits and ice creams with food service and keep it clean and fast service. The large cup of fresh water is really large an Over all I really like this place. The people working here make me feel at home and that is something I like. We really enjoyed our visit. I am. Coming back!!!

Update. Still good breakfast tacos but shrinkflation struck here. $14 for three very small tacos. I usually eat two and am stuffed then give my mom the third one. Ate all three and was still hungry. Not a good thing. $14 for a bag that maybe weighed 6/7 ounces. While they are tasty I wont spend that much money on take out egg tacos. Still hangry after my meal is a dealbreaker. Service was friendly and prompt. Dining area bright and clean. read more

This has quickly become one of our favorite places to eat breakfast. We usually order it to go and we usually get the Chilaquiles! I get the green and add meat on top! Their customer service is great, their food is homemade, and they have authentic Mexican drinks and candy! What more could you ask for. They take a bit of time to get your food ready but that is what happens when it's made fresh, so be patient and be nice! I love this place and I'm actually about to order so food right now! Hidden Gem! If you want homemade Hispanic style cooking look no further. They make fresh corn tortillas for their tacos, not like the cheap corn tortillas at the store, these are wonderful and among the best tacos I've had in Garland yet. They're friendly and recognize you when you walk in and that goes miles with customers who feel like the businesses they patronize provide notable appreciation for their customers. Really nice small neighborhood feel definitely an easy reach, call ahead to order is super quick and they speak English and Spanish. 10/10 read more

Let's start with the customer service, in one word. EXCEPTIONAL! You are greeted as you come and go. Now for the food, I only had their gorditas plate. But that was enough to convince me that this place had some good food. Try the rajas con queso and chicharrón en chile gorditas. May I add that they follow COVID rules to the T! Food was only slightly warm even after waiting more than 10 mins for it. The beef enchilada was very tasty. Rice and beans were good. My beer was really cold, so that was nice. Service was very friendly. Place is very clean. I would have given it four stars if our food had been hot. read more

Oh. My. Damn. Talk about the best breakfast tacos I have ever had!!! My husband picked up five each for us. I had egg and potato and he had egg and chorizo. I was so full from 4, it was so good I forced myself to eat the last one. I can't wait to go back and try more! The tacos and salsa tasted homemade. My husband said this seems like a family owned restaurant. It was clean, and taking covid VERY seriously. The menu is in Spanish, some is in English but most is in Spanish so he will be doing the ordering. This is well worth trying! read more

I frequent La Pinita regularly. Their food is consistently great!! My go to's have always been tacos or Quesadillas. Recently I decided to try their enchiladas. OMG!! Sooo good. This weekend I hosted my daughters baby shower and decided to have La Pinita cater my event. They were awesome!! Not only was the food excellent as always, but the whole experience was awesome!! Placing the order was simple, delivery and set up was smooth and professional and we had plenty of food!! Such a great value for my money. Chicken and beef fajitas, sausage w onions and peppers, rice, beans, tortillas and both the red and green sauce! The tacos were Super delicious, the barbacoa, the beef fajita meat the beans and rice, the sopes were all amazing!!!! The mangonada is Bomb!! My family ordered the enchiladas and kids platter with chicken and rice, they loved it!! We came back for our second visit, authentic Mexican, very delicious and fair prices!! I found it interesting that this place mixes breakfast/dinner food with a fruteria. I was a little iffy going in because I thought that it would smell like Mexican food when what I wanted was fresh fruit. Thankfully it didn't! The staff was very nice and friendly. I got the fresas con crema which were a little dry due to it having too little cream but at least the strawberries were fresh. We also got a small order of fruits which was quite tasty. They added limon, chili powder and gave us chamoy for us to add ourselves. Nothing too outstanding but not terrible. read more

Food here is good and made as soon as you order. The place is clean and the staff is constantly checking on you if you need anything. We had the quesadilla beef fajita tacos de chicharrón , trompo , barbacoa. All of it was good and seasoned well. The red salsa was my favorite to go with the food. OMGGGG.... this place saved me! I was driving up and down Broadway, not familiar to the area, and all I saw was fast food restaurants. Whataburger, McDonald's, golden chick, subway, Burger King, and sonic - but none of those seemed appetizing at 12:30 on an empty stomach. I wanted breakfast. I wanted a home cooked meal. That's when I found this place, a little skeptical at first - as I am with most hole in the walls ( but that's usually where you'll find the best food) and BOYYY was I happy I wandered off into this place! I had been craving breakfast burritos for a while so I ordered 2 breakfast tacos on a flour tortilla with eggs, bean, chorizo and cheese. Omg they were delicious!! HIT THE SPOT!! They also have a green and red homemade salsa to go with everything. ANDDD did I mention they have freshly squeezed juices?! I got the orange juice and it was so good! We stumbled onto this place as we like the thrift shop next door. The place is new...I think. They sell tacos, burritos, sopas abd tortas and much more. The tortillas are homemade and delish. I got the barbacoa and carnitas tacos with corn tortillas. The meat was tender and delish. Oh the green and red sauce are HOT. The green is not as HOT as the red so i reccomend the green if you dont like HOT. My wife got the taco plate with rice and beans. She got the beef fajita. The beef fajita is much more flavorful than the carnitas and barbacoa and I will def get the beef next time. But the carnitas and barbacoa was good too.The rice and beans were on point. The place is clean and everyone is friendly and they bring your food to you. They have a large ice cream selection if you are on the mood for some dessert. We were full so we didnt get any. The lady cashier recommended the bfast burrito for our next visit and it looked delish. I recommend that you try this place out. read more

The building look's like somebody just plopped a box down, has few windows, and has plain white entry/exit doors 180 degrees opposite each other. Entering, I was hoping I was in the right place and using the right door. I was and I did. For my tacos, I ordered one each: Chorizo, Chicken, and Beef. To drink, I ordered a Jarritos Lime soft drink. The tacos were served traditional street style - two small corn tortillas for each - stuffed with meat, onions and cilantro, with a couple of lime wedges on the side. The lime wedges were super juicy and the tacos were hot and delicious!! The red and green sauces were not as full-bodied as I prefer (I like the sauces to have a solid color, smooth almost creamy look, with no seeds visible.) and neither was as hot (spicy) as I would have liked. Both sauces had about the same heat level - a solid "Three." Nevertheless, I wholly enjoyed my tacos and would definitely visit Los Compadres again! The person who took my order was friendly. The prices were reasonable and my appetite for tacos was satisfied! If you're in the area and looking for some good tacos, definitely give this little shack a try! You won't regret doing so. Also, you'll probably wish you'd ordered more tacos than you did, so go ahead and order two extra! You'll eat them!! As far as amenities, there is a handwashing station inside the "dining area," but I left not knowing whether there was an actual restroom on the premises or not. So, on that note... The total came to a little over $14 for the two items. When my order came up I was surprised by the amount of food. It was more than I expected, but it looked very good. Starting with the Trompo bowl, it was excellent. Everything very fresh, and reminded me a lot of the al pastor that I'm used to eating in California. Perfectly cooked and well seasoned, it was very satisfying. The carnitas taco was also excellent. It was moist, yet had that nice bit of char on it which gives it a bit of crunch. Very tasty. They gave me a couple of bottles of salsa to use at the table, one a reddish brown and one a slightly bright green. Both were good, but I actually liked my food more without it. Overall I was quite impressed by Trompo. I've only been to half a dozen or so Mexican places in Texas, but this one has been my favorite so far.

We got home and opened our containers to find that the fries melted the styrofoam container! Not only were they overcooked, they were unsafe to eat. I drove back and asked for a refund, only to be told that that no refunds could be issued without the manager, and the manager was not there. I spent $10 plus tax and tip for food that couldn't be eaten. The cashier didn't even offer to replace the food or do anything for the inconvenience. I left my phone number on the receipt, asking the manager to call to issue a refund. If the manager does not call me I will file a complaint about the food safety. We used to be regular patrons but if this is the quality they offer, we're never going back.
