I forgot to take pics of the food but it was really excellent. The portions were huge which made the prices quite reasonable. We shared the Caesar salad which they split for us. I had the rigatoni bolognese which was amazing. My dad had the eggplant rolotini and then the mushroom risotto side which was so big for only $9! No dessert for us because we already had leftovers. Thank you! We loved it.

    Lobster tagliatelle

I ordered the lobster tagliatelle, it was suppose to be with a white wine garlic sauce. It tasted like pasta water, it was extremely runny without a hint of garlic. It had zero flavor at all. Super disappointing and will not be back.

It was Wednesday, beautiful evening and I was hoping to sit outside. My friend who was showing me the place said there would be outside seating, but it wasn't set up. For a Wednesday night, it was packed inside and very noisy. My scallops were delicious. My friend had the salmon on a bed of asparagus and that looked very great too. It's probably jamming even more on the weekends. Close to the water in the quaint Hingham downtown.

When I was in university, many of my peers had a thing for Comella's. I met up with a friend I see…read moreon average once a year, and we decided to go for old-time sake. I didn't understand the hype then, and I especially do not understand it now. My taste may have become more discerning in the last six years, possibly because I am no longer a broke college student. Then and now, Comella's was fine; it wasn't the flip-flops served by a place that rhymes with "Abdominos," but at the same time, it was absolutely nothing to write home about. My friend is less adventurous than I am, so we settled for mozzarella sticks and a cheese pizza. I was there primarily for the company, not the food. The mozzie sticks were OK. They had a decent crust/breading, and the cheese had some stringiness (that "grab on and pull"). They could have used more herbs/spices in the coating to liven them up. Similarly, I found the tomato sauce a bit bland. These feel like a middle-of-the-road store brand prepared in the air fryer. (Not saying that's what they do, just what they feel like). The pizza is similarly lackluster. The crust is nicely thin, with a fair amount of cheese and sauce that stays in balance with the crust. However, the tomato sauce was dull, and the cheese was plain mozzarella. While trying to avoid sounding like a broken record, some herbs or garlic powder would have been amazing. Also, considering how quiet it was, the service could've been more attentive. The calculus for a broke college student going with the flow and someone having graduated is different. While I definitely wouldn't have minded Comella's in my college days, now I don't feel the pull to return. While there was nothing glaringly wrong that would reduce their rating to two stars, there is nothing remotely special to have me choose them over the tens, if not hundreds, of similar places closer to me.

Very clean, comfortable, well lit and plenty of parking. Excellent service from the start. Greeted at the door and seated in a booth each time we visited. Wife and I visited 2 weeks ago after one shopping at the Shipyard. Looking forward to the pre-meal popcorn. Our waitress, Aimee, was superb. Attentive, friendly, polite, professional and courteous. 5 stars service. Ordered the Prime rib rare. Tasty and cooked to perfection with plenty of Au jus. Wife had the chicken salad. Fresh and tender chicken. Again visited last Wednesday with grandkid who wanted the favorite Mac and cheese as well as take advantage of "kids eat free day after a Red Sox win." Again service was 5 star excellence by our waitress, Erin T, who was attentive, friendly, polite, professional and courteous. Again food was prepared to perfection this time ordering the ground sirloin special rare and rare it was unlike most places servicing medium. Plenty of mushroom gravy. So good! Absolutely delicious. What's even better, 5 stars with budget friendly affordable prices. Highly recommend. Will definitely return to this 99 Restaurant very soon for sure.

The other day, We went to this location we got the fried chicken that was so salty. It could stop you dead in your tracks with a heart attack and I got the baked stuffed shrimp. Which the stuffing was good but the shrimp tasted foul. The waitress said they come in fresh/frozen and we defrost them. ( all shrimp come that way.) So I return that & got the turkey tips. They're not really turkey tips. They were more like thickly sliced turkey And it says they're grilled and they're not grilled. They just have barbecue sauce on them, but they were OK. The waitress was super super sweet and very very efficient. They do serve popcorn prior to your meal which used to be just expected now it's just a nice treat. My ultimate goal would be to eat my meal the same time as my company.
