I don't know why this place has 3.7 stars. We used to order from a place closer to our house in Duxbury but we will only be ordering from here from now on! OMG so good! Quality cheese and lots of it (extra not ordered), cooked to perfection, arrived hot and super fast. We got the hot honey pepperoni and I can't wait to order it again! $20 for a pizza is not bad these days! Def recommend! read more

Pizza was good, would have again, ready when they said. Just a "take out" place not an eat in.

A large chicken finger appetizer included 7 pieces for almost $15. A complete waste of money! And the pizza tasted stale. Not fresh at all!

Horrible service. Guy at the front named Youssef was super rude. Refused to heat up my food after it came out cold. I looked in the back and saw the staff cooking without gloves. That's so unsanitary. read more

I usually do not write reviews; however, I feel like i have to. This is the 3rd and last time I will order from here. First time I got a turkey sub and by the time I got back to my office (which is 3 mins away) the sub roll was completely soaked from the water of the turkey (GROSS) second time was a chef salad I barely had anything left of it after I picked through the brown lettuce and again completely soaked deli meat. today figured I would try one more time... Big mistake. Roast beef sub ewww the roast beef was brown and had like a metallic coloring to it and the sub roll was again soaked through within 3 mins of driving back to my office. I will never order from here again and would not recommend to even someone I do not like. read more

Home made sauce my ass, had the spaghetti dinner , crushed tomato rite out of a can . No onions ,peppers, spices, or meat , flavorless! and the sausages were dried out beef jerky. Salad was ok but home made dressing was bland. I also had the Chile and it was like tomato soup with no beef and scarce beans or anything else. The garlic bread was good but that's it! This is my second visit to this place, and the first time 10 yrs ago was even worse than this time around. I wont be back. My girl friend got a pizza last week and said it was ok but the sauce was bland. This place is not alone when it comes to bad canned sauce Nobody knows how to make it or their not willing to put in the time or the ingredients that really make the sauce. My family is from the north end and they know their stuff, yummy read more

These pizzas were ridiculously good. There are a few pizza places much closer to us but I think from now on on pizza nights we'll drive the extra ten minutes to eat from here! The person who rang me up walked over to hold the door open for me. He was very nice and friendly!! read more

Ordered take-out. Easy phone order and friendly inside service. Pizza was average tasting, but was 0-4 in agreeing with consumer's bellies. Glad we tried it, but not sure the cheese mix or something is a fit for our family. Sounds like others enjoy it so might be for you! read more

I've always ordered from this restaurant my last order the food was burnt. I called. I didn't ask for a refund and he promised that it wouldn't happen again. I trusted them. I ordered a delivery two days ago. One of my items was a side Greek salad it was made completely wrong. I received lettuce and olives. They charge me $11.48 for a salad that should've been 4.99. I ordered on July 21 and noticed the next night I was charged 11.48. I sent him an email with feedback via his website. I ordered directly from the store. It was not answered . I called yesterday the 23 and the manager was not in. They didn't provide me with a receipt, but I ordered it online and saw recently ordered items .They said they would have him call me back today. He never did. I just called him and asked for a refund and he yelled at me and said if I didn't like the food I can go elsewhere would not refund me because it was three days later, even though I called Two days later left a message one day later I also sent him an email via his website. I will never ever ever go to the establishment again. To be treated so disrespectful is not worth a pizza. I can only imagine what his employees go through one more thing I told him I would post a review because normally I don't and he said it doesn't matter what you write so think twice before you go to the store this pizza place. read more

Bad experience , few days ago I ordered cheeseburger dinner and it came with two sides , fries and salad and looks like the salad wasn't fresh ,because you can tell from the lettuce ( picture provided ) . Second , the menu said the cost for this meal ( Cheeseburger dinner) is $8.49 , but the lady charged me $ 10.49 before taxes , when I asked her why ??? And showed her the store menu I picked up from the counter next to her , she said ..ooh that was an old price , then I asked her you should get new paper menus then , she said we ordered 6 months ago and still didn't get yet ... what .... That is really rip off .. imagine that they raise prices on every item without informing customers in advance , it is rip off and they make a fortune from that .. shame on you guys , i will never go there again . Please , attention all and check on the menu prices to match what I saw on the receipt. read more

Great pizza! Definitely worth a try. We went once but will be returning for sure. It's in a convenient location too.

Pizza and food is excellent delivery very quick service is great. Ambiance is very good.

Great Food! The delivery Service is outstanding~! My five kids love it!

The 4 rating is for the coldest beer in town and the super friendly staff. I'd rate the food about a 3. We go for pizza or a sub - but mostly we go for a beer and order something to wash it down with. They have a tiny bar area that seats about 5 people. The owner is the most friendliest owner I've ever met and his staff is also friendly. Nice people, and good atmosphere for a inexpensive week night out. Check out my pictures of their food and of course, their beer. read more

A Slice Above Pizzeria - Pepperoni pizza - $8:39 Monday special! - Pizza Near Me - Pembroke, Massachusetts

Ordered chicken wings 1/2 Asian Sesame and 1/2 Sweet Chili. Sauces were DELISH. soo soo much better than the overrated Buffalo Wild Wings. I couldn't decide which I liked better. The only down fall was the wings were resting on some wax paper and the sauce soaked into it instead of the wings. Next time I may ask for the sauce on the side. A side of blue cheese dipping sauce came with the wings. I wasn't sure what it was at first until I found a HUGE chunk of blue cheese. There were more to come! I was sooo impressed by this dressing, if it isn't house made I need to know where they get it! I need more of that in my life. Will def. be returning! read more

I'm new to the area so I wanted to check out a few of the local spots. I'm gluten and dairy free so that makes eating out difficult. I saw that A Slice Above Pizzeria had a gluten-free pizza so I thought why not. Wow am I impressed!!! The pizza was loaded with toppings, they didn't skimp. I built a gluten-free bbq, bacon and jalapeño pizza... it was delicious!!! I met the owners wife, she was extremely friendly. I felt so welcomed, I can't wait to come back to try the gluten-free wraps! read more

I ordered a chicken parm sub with extra sauce. I got chicken tenders on a sub roll with a tiny side of sauce. Frozen deep fried chicken tenders on a sub is unacceptable! If I wanted that I would've ordered from D&E pizza in canton! Absolutely gross!!! read more

We ordered a small "white out" (garlic butter, mozzarella, ricotta, feta, chicken, and broccoli), a small pepper and onion, and a Greek salad. Everything was quite good but the "white out" was the clearance winner by unanimous decision. It was a great mix of salty, savory with just the right amount of chicken and broccoli to lighten it up. The salad (no picture , sorry) was sizable with a good amount of toppings and your standard amount of dressing. Overall I will definitely go back! read more

Great local spot with delicious pizza! Staff is always friendly and happy to help. It's hard to drive by and not grab a slice.

A Slice Above is a very, very good pizzeria. I have ordered twice and consistently they have made terrific pizza. I have gone local to where I live and none of them can compare. Excellent pizza both times and my wife, who is very particular, agrees. I highly recommend this place. Very very good. Price is right and pizza is excellent! Rock on dudes! read more

I can't say enough about how tasty everything we ordered was. The caprese salad was such a wonderful combination of arugula, mozzarella, tomatoes & basil. The presentation was really beautiful. If you are in Pembroke you have to give it a try. Can't wait to go back!!! read more

This place is a typical local sub shop and pizza. The food is good and service is quick. The owner is there all the time and is a nice guy, my favorite is the chicken salad sub. I see they have specials on pizzas for certain nights. They also have a small 6 or 7 seat bar to get a beer while eating. They have a few regular tables too. They will have the game on TV, and they have delivery. Give them a try, I think you will like them. read more

The first time I ordered pizza from Lucioso's it was so greasy I couldn't eat it.Giving them the benefit of the doubt, I ordered a different kind a week or 2 later(bb'q chicken).Well, I ate half a slice and promptly threw the rest in the trash. It was horrible, cold bbq sauce poured all over a half cooked piece of pizza dough . Some of my co-workers tried their sandwiches also and were less then enthused...I won't be going back. *UPDATE* I recently tried the pizza again after staying away for a long time.It was very good this time, quite opposite of the first few times...guess they figured out how to get it right...so I bump it up to 4 stars!! read more

NOTE 8/28/17: I thought it was only right to clarify that the below review from 2012 was for the former pizzeria, Lucioso's, in this same Pembroke location. I can't speak for all the older reviews but it appears the restaurant changed names and owners but the reviews for the old restaurant remains. **************** Who knew that good pizza was being served at this dive located right on Route 53. If you blinked, you would miss it because it is THAT small. We got wind of this place from a neighbor (hey...nothing beats word of mouth advertising, right?). Nothing fancy by any means...this is an old-school pizza/sub shop that just happens to have a small bar serving beer. To our surprise, the pizza was very good. We've actually ordered pizza from there a few times since our initial visit. On a side note, the staff is super friendly. We also brought our 6 year old here for the first visit. For a quick slice and drink, I think it would be ok for young kids. Not sure I would make an hour long meal out of it; better for a lunch than a full dinner. There isn't much seating, and there is no table service. Regardless, worth a try if you are looking for new "no frills" dining options. read more

So impressed with the pizza and the company. We stopped in our our way to the Cape and boy were we happy to go a little out of the way for this pizza. We ordered a pepperoni and bacon with two beers and a side of fries (for my toddler). The cheese is amazing and the crust was perfect. Not too thin and not too thick. The fries were of the battered variety, which we all loved, and the beer was served extra cold. We got to talking to the locals and ended up spending an hour and a half in there shooting the breeze and munching. It was a great time, and I love the atmosphere of this place. Oh, and the girl who took our order was super friendly, too!! read more

We have ordered food from here numerous times over the past year. The food is very good as far as sub shops are concerned. They have a good steak and cheese sub, calzone, generous potions and a staff that is ALWAYS friendly and professional. If anything stands out it is the personnel that work there, personable and service minded -- so rare these days. Never had a problem with an order and will continue to use them as our new go to sub and sandwich stop. read more

Talk about a shock. Had been happy with the previous owners. These guys. Wow. Business must be good. Too good to deliver hot pizza. Ordered 1 pizza. Delivered 1/2 hour late and cold. Refused to accept it. Not happy. Called to complain and was told the driver was "afraid" of my reaction and my order was cancelled. Is that what it has come to? If the customer is not happy it is their fault? Forget Big Z... order from Oak St Grill 781-829-0100. On time and willing to fix any problems. read more
