Great calzone, but very expensive. Quick and easy service. I would recommend this place

I've been going here for twenty years or so, with my family. Reliable, yummy takeout. Small pizzas are better than large, in my opinion.

Who is responsible for messing with the buffalo chicken calzone? I heard there was a new owner of CPP, but I refused to give credence to the rumors of an altered formula until verifying for myself today, hoping for my reliable pick-me-up after going to change the flowers on my mother's grave. My fears had, to my utter shock and horror, been realized. Look how they've massacred my boy!! Why, with so much evil and confusion in a world spinning ever-faster off its own axis, is there franks sauce in my Crowe Point Buffalo Chicken Calzone?? Et tu, Crowe Point? I thought we lived in a society. Is nothing sacred? Did we fly too close to the sun for too long? Newcomers may be hoodwinked, but make no mistake: The entire greatness of the OG square-cut Buffalo calzone (which, I should clarify, has been the NUMBER ONE ITEM on the menu since before I was born) hinged entirely upon its unconventionally distinguishing features, chief among them being that the chicken cutlet, while minimally *spiced*, is not lathered (or even remotely drizzled) with buffalo sauce! It's supposed to be the anti-Buffalo Buffalo!! The anti-calzone calzone! This...whatever 'this' is--is BLASPHEMY. It's MID. RUN-OF-THE-MILL. This is worse than Plankton taking over the Krusty Krab! I think the first time I came here, they had an off day, and the food wasn't what I was expecting. After coming here some more, I'm upgrading my rating from two stars to four. In my subsequent visits, the food has been fresher and more flavorful. I'm glad I gave them another chance, since this place is now one of my go-to places for subs and the like. read more

I'm obsessed with this place. Their stuffed shells are the best ever. I get there mozzarella sticks all the time. Their pizza is really good. Steak and cheese could be a little better. They don't add any onions or peppers to it the first time around. Every time we've asked them for a hot peppers on it, they leave them out. But overall, this is a great value. For your money. A good to for your favorite sub. The bread is fresh as can be and ingredients are fresh and abundant. There are so many choices not disappointment there and you will return over and over-to your delight. Also good place to stop on the way to Nantasket for a reasonable meal. Their steak tips are a particular favorite. Now not everyone enjoys a Greek style pizza, but if you do, they are the best a round.

Ordered a pizza for take out the other day and was very surprised to find out it is under new ownership. Pizza looked good but no flavor... just sort of a greasy taste. anyway, very disappointed as this was always (35 years) our go to for great pizza. Crow Point does the Greek takeout menu proper, with hot and crispy fries (zero crinklage) and an insane bounty of chicken fingers for $10. The chicky love continues with a seriously crushable steak bomb, poultry-fied with grilled chicken, provolone, peppers and mushrooms. It was overflowing with meat and was so superfilling, it served as my first and last meal of the day. Don't @ me. My only suggestion: toast the bun a bit? It was so soft, every nook and cranny in my teeth were filled with each bite. Bring toothpicks. And because Pizzeria means something, we split a slice of cheese. Sweet sauce, buttery biscuit crust, and the greasy gooey - everything you'd expect from the delivery joint. Good size, too, especially for the $2.50 price tag. They run a busy lunch l, but tables are also ample. Convenience store selection of bottled drinks and fairly fast service. If we lived closer, we'd definitely put 'em in the takeout/delivery rotation. read more

And here we have another south shore 'what the heck?!' Small chicken parm. Made it quick enough. Expensive for what you get. Get home, open it up annnnnnd what? What the heck did they do? They 'sliced and diced' the fried chicken. In all my years I've never seen anything like this. Sauce is tasty, but chicken was rubbery. Maybe they precook it and toss it aside for use during the day. I'm not sure how you mess up a chicken parm. But mission accomplished. More head shaking here. The owner is a rude jerk with an attitude. The pizza is greasy and has little flavor. Do yourself a favor and go to Comella's 30 seconds down the street. Way better pizza without the attitude. Also, not sure what is so difficult about posting the correct price. I was charged $15 when the advertised price on the restaurant was $14. Not a big deal but all would have been fine without the attitude just because I asked for an explanation. Again, this guy is a JERK! I'm sure I wasn't the first customer of the day ordering a pizza. Next time, take 10 minutes to fix your board. Oh well, so much for a business that claims on its own website ( which by the way, as of the day of this post, also still has the incorrect price) that: "The owners of Crow Point show genuine care for each customer who walks into the restaurant." Best buffalo chicken calzone in the area! The cheese and pepperoni pizza is great as well. The salads are always fresh and tasty. I haven't tried anything else from Crow Point as these are our family's favorites and have always been consistently good. Second review of my life but I have to. Been coming here my whole life. Love the food. Ordered a simple chicken broccoli Alfredo zit plate. Normally a go to from here. It arrives and I dive in. Quickly realizing they either forgot the chicken, dropped it, made a mistake... it happens but there is almost none. So instead of jumping to the internet and going at them for what could of been a simple mistake, I call.... only to be answered with. No... they usually put more chicken ( well of course that's why I've never had to call and complain about anything ever. ) so I explain this nicely saying I don't want to rock the boat it just not what I normally get if their is something we can do I'd appreciate it. The response I get is well you can take a picture and bring it to me but this is unlikely. They put the chicken so something must have happened ( yes I'm sure it did as in the poor guys working in the heat may have innocently forgotten my chicken.) In a round about way in the following seconds I was pretty much told I'm either telling things that aren't true or it was my fault. So to make sure I went through the entire dish to find some scraps of chicken. Only ones that need a photo is anyone looking to order that disaster themselves. I listened to my fellow yelpers and split a greek salad and the buffalo chicken calzone with my guest. I was a little depressed by the buffalo chicken calzone, because I couldn't really taste any buffalo. I think if I ever went back (which I probably won't because I don't live nearby) I would ask for extra buffalo sauce. One thing that was true though... the thing was massive. There was a whole lot of cheese, which drowned out any buffalo that was trying to come through. And secondly, it wasn't really a calzone, as much as it was an oddly shaped pizza, unless they got our order wrong. Next, the Greek salad was pretty good. The dressing was fantastic, and they give you so much feta crumbles that you could ski down a mountain on it. Overall, not all THAT impressed, but if you guys like it then you like it! read more

This review is strictly about the way they fail to manage the crowd in their restaurant. I ordered, was told it would take 30 minutes. I got there and stood in close quarters with about 20 other people who were coming and going for the next 25 minutes. So, yeah, 55 minutes, nearly half an hour with a bunch of people. I don't mind when they are busy, but they should know how long it will take, and try to do some sort of contact-less pickup... like take it to your car, or call your cell to come in when the order is ready. I'm shocked to say this was one of the riskiest behaviors I've had during the whole pandemic... for a frikkin' pizza. So, never again. It's not pizza to die for. read more

This is a low quality, standard pizza place. I've had several items here because it's close: Chicken calzone: overcooked, chicken inside somehow is crusty Pizza: average, too much bland cheese, sauce tastes generic like from a can Chicken Parmesan: they use real chicken as opposed to a patty which is good, the chicken is weird and hard(how?) like cartilage. I threw 1/2 away BLT is good... Our family has decided we will no longer eat there. It's so close and convenient but it's just not good I've had worse and the place is clean so I'm giving it a 3 to be fair. read more

This is my all-time favorite takeout spot. Every time I'm back in Hingham I go to Crow Point, it's the best! The Chicken Parm sub is my all time favorite but the pizza, pasta and salads are all outstanding. Great value. Owners are the best. Crappy service again! They tell you 20 minutes and 45 minutes later got my pizza. I am almost always understanding but this time I asked if my order was missed because it had been twice as long as they said (40 minutes). The owner blew me off with we're busy BUT there wasn't anyone waiting except me. He was rude handing my pizza, as if! What right do you have to be such a jerk when you kept me waiting an EXTRA 25 minutes. I had a car full of starving teenagers so you can bet they won't be back either. So I'm not the biggest fan of some of the staff who do the take out orders as they often make mistakes but I know a lot of them are teenagers and just learning. Other than that I love this place. Best Pizza in all of hingham hands down no other place even comes close. I must agree with one of the other reviewers on here, this place deserves all the rewards. It's sad when you're craving something so much that you'll drive 30 minutes out of your way and endure South Shore traffic to do so. One night I was sitting in my apartment in Boston and I just had this craving for a Chicken Parm Calzone. My friend wanted a Buffalo Chicken Calzone. I'm sure you're thinking to yourself at this point, "dude, you're in BOSTON." There are literally thousands of restaurants that you can go to that have amazing Buff Chick & Chicken Parm Calzones." Well I'm sure you're right, but when you want quality and you don't want to take the chance of trying a local place and not having it satisfy, yeah, you'll get in your car and haul ass down to a place you know will make your palms sweat. Needless to say, I drove my car down there like I was in the Fast & The Furious. How I didn't get pulled over is beyond me. Anyways, my friend and I got to Crow Point, ordered, and in no time we were sitting across from each other but slightly offset so we had full space to spread out and prepare for what can only be described as eating like we've never eaten before. You know the food is good when there is not one word said until all the food is gone, and that is exactly what happened with us. In about 10 minutes, each calzone was gone, and we just looked at each other, high fived, and walked out of the joint vowing never to speak of what happened... until now. If you find yourself in Hingham, especially with the Summer coming up, this is a great restaurant to go to when you're headed to the beach or a cookout or just to pick up food for your family. read more

When I lived on the South Shore and worked at Talbot's Corporate (please, I hated it), we would always get calzones from here. The calzones were good. I remember liking the Italian meats and cordon bleu. They always pleased the whole crowd, and were worth the price. (you could probably feed 3 people with a large calzone) I once tried the BLT wrap and found myself terribly ill that night. I personally don't blame the wrap, but my coworker that got the same thing was also sick. So, you can come to your own conclusions. read more

I've been going to Crow Point since it was a hole in the wall pizzeria before the renovations. They make the best "Greek" pizza on the south shore. (Greek pizza, as opposed to Italian, is made on an oiled sheet or pan. With Italian pizza the crust directly contacts the oven surface.) The sauce is sweet and fresh. They also make terrific gyro's and french fries. Everyone raves about the Buffalo Calzones. They're not my favorite but they are huge and tasty. Over all, the sub ingredients are fresh, the people are nice, the bathrooms are clean. Great place. read more

Let me begin with, the food isn't bad. If you've been here before, you'll get what you expect. Its not bad. It's just a very, very mediocre restaurant. The food is okay, the service is okay, and the environment is...meh. Hurt by the fact that they don't deliver, and that they don't do anything special. They're a staple of Hingham and I don't see that changing, but unless you're looking for good portions (and they give you a good amount of food for your dollar), go to a different restaurant. The only thing I find remotely unique here is the buffalo chicken calzone. It's not that good, it's just okay, but it's big and not too expensive. Not awful, just very mediocre. What a lifesaver, thank you! Crow Point rush ordered two hundred bucks worth of food when the local Mexican trashheap right down the street (I'll give you a hint, it ends in -alsa's) straight up didn't make the food for my wedding. The manager was kind and understanding, and made all the food (I think) within an hour. Words can't describe how grateful I am for coming through for me on a disasterous occasion. The buffalo chicken calzone was of course, a huge hit. I don't think anyone even cared that they were eating buffet pasta and pizza. One of my guests came out with a slice of the calzone and said "I DON'T KNOW WHAT THIS IS, BUT THIS NEEDS TO BE AT EVERY WEDDING." Nom Nom Nom. I did, of course, order way too much food because I was freaking out. The manager was like "whoa honey I think that's enough."
