Everything about our dinner here was amazing. We sat on the upper patio and had a lovely view of the beach peaking out from behind some buildings. Our server Catherine was super friendly and provided us great suggestions. We had a pizza with ricotta and pepperoni on it, as well as a nice fall salad. Both items were amazing, but the pizza really stood out. There is not a lot of good pizza in this area, in my opinion, so we were really happy to find this spot!

Fig and prosciutto pizza, aperol spritz

I really love eating at Caffe Prego when visiting Ogunquit. They have a nice covered porch that is heated or cooled as needed and have rotating (daily?) specials that are in-season and very delicious. A good mix of local seafood and Italian menu options and their prices are very fair- lower than average in the area.

Loved the gelato whoopie pie! We had a great time sitting out on the covered patio and enjoying the outdoor weather! Would come back here!

Meatball sandwich with house made chips

Great Italian dining in OGT! Haddock piccata is exemplary and the meatball sandwich was fire. The chips are great, Italian seasoning nowhere else. My favorite part of the experience was gelato and sorbet afterwards. That along with Big Daddy's makes a diverse ice cream scene on shore road. Eat on the patio if you can, great atmosphere. Good service also. Must go too!!

Stopped in after a long walk along the coast, a total must-see by the way! The cafe staff were friendly and quick to sit us down and serve us which was a huge plus. Some of the food we ordered, however, lacked a little bit of flavor. The margarita pizza tasted a bit bland which was a let down, my boyfriends panini was pretty okay, he had the Saltimbocca panini.

Chicken Parmesan

We stopped here for an early dinner and it was fantastic! My boyfriend and I like to try chicken parmesan from a lot of different places we travel to and this one was like no other! The chicken was lightly breaded with the perfect amount of cheese but the sauce was the true star of the show; extremely flavorful and not too heavy. The outdoor seating right on the main street makes for a fun and easy hang out! Service was also spot-on and they seem to have some great daily specials!

Centered right in the heart of Ogunquit, this very orange restaurant served good food with fair prices. When we went it was sunny so the orange sun roof on top of the orange menu made it hard to see. The crust on the pizza was good if you like a very thin crust. The basil MADE the pizza for sure! Great sauce to cheese ratio and it filled me right up. SADDEST Pasta Salad portion I have seen... 5 pieces of pasta with a couple of peas and olives...

Gelato flavors

My relatives and I had dessert only as we didn't want to eat much. I had an affagato, another had a homemade blueberry gelato scoop and a homemade pistachio gelato scoop, and a third had carrot cake. The pistachio came out better but the blueberry wasn't bad according to the one relative. For the other one, the cake itself was okay and everything else with it, especially the candied walnuts were particularly sweet in that proper burnt marshmallow sort of way. My affagato was on point and the unexpected coffee bean pieces accentuated what is otherwise a standard European option.

Started with apps, my octopus was very tender and delicious albeit a tad pricey for the portion $26. The mushroom pasta I found a tad bland. For the price of $31 it was a smidge disappointing. The item that will make me come back was their lemon cream cake. I could have had the app and the cake and been a happy girl. This place charges fine dining prices for a very casual atmosphere. My friend got the duck- she wasn't asked how to have it cooked. It came out well- not for me but she was fine with it. She enjoyed the apps (escargot) and the lemon blueberry crème brûlée- it had great flavor but it was coddled. I saw the texture was not silky smooth.

We love Ogunquit, but it can be a tricky spot for dinners. I guess that's the price of being a postcard-perfect coastal town in Maine? So when we find a place like The Front Yard, you'll hear us raving about it for a while. We made reservations based on other reviews, and since we were doing an Ogunquit staycation, it just made sense. So glad I listened to those five-star reviewers; we absolutely loved it. We were lucky to grab a patio table (not gonna lie, I don't know if I would've loved it quite as much without the al fresco vibe), and it was the perfect summer (spring?) dinner. We ordered a bottle of Riesling -- they have an extensive wine list, with some affordable options -- and it paired perfectly with our meal. For apps, we went with the burrata and squash dish and the fried calamari. Both were good, though the burrata could've used a bit more flavor. Definitely not the best I've had, but the entrées more than made up for it. My husband's pesto pistachio pasta, topped with burrata, was excellent, and like I said... I'm still dreaming about my mushroom pasta. Our server was super attentive, even though the place was a little busy. We really appreciated that. And PSA: don't even try to go on the weekend during peak months without a reservation. We saw folks getting turned away left and right!

I…read morecalled and made a reservation a couple of weeks ahead of our visit (we were there on a Monday night, and in the restaurant area it was pretty quiet - just us and one other table). First things first - parking is super easy, it's a free valet service (not obvious at first, as there is parking behind the restaurant, but you're greeted right away when you pull in). We walked through the bar area, over to the restaurant area (surprisingly the bar was quite full), and were able to choose a table by one of the two fireplaces. On the restaurant side, it feels very cozy, and homey, exactly where you want to spend a cold night, inside eating dinner. Our server was lovely, greeted us right away and provided menus. I started with a cosmo (they had flavored versions like strawberry, but I elected to go for the classic). For an appetizer, we started with the bacon wrapped scallops - the bacon was maple glazed, and wonderfully crispy, with the scallops cooked perfectly, and some micro-greens scattered on the plate - delicious. For entrees, my mom had the baked seafood stuffed haddock which came with a lobster sherry cream sauce, a massive pile of perfectly cooked green beans, and mashed potatoes (yum). I went with the duck special, which was absolutely delightful. It came with Brussels sprouts, and I subbed out the au gratin (I very strongly dislike sweet potatoes), for mashed potatoes. It was delicious. We were so full, we opted for dessert to go (chocolate cake), which was generously portioned, and decadently delicious. We really enjoyed the meal - this was a wonderful dinner to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday!

We started with scallops wrapped in bacon and their bread service. The butter was sweetened and the bread was great. The scallops with bacon were excellent. My husband enjoyed a few vodka with cranberry and he wasn't disappointed. He chose the crab stuffed shrimp and sincerely loved it. The rice and green beans were great but he was full from the shrimp. I chose the filet with a lobster tail, fingerling potatoes and asparagus. Everything was simply superb. Dress was casual and the place was clean. Not thinking they are accessible though as there were steps going in the two doors we used.
