We were cruising up the coast to hike some of the trails and then grab some bunch. We got the craving for some coffee and this place came up nearby. It is a very nice place with indoor and outdoor seating. They had a few delicious sounding options. The staff was great in helping me make my selection. I wish I recalled my choice because it was very good. It was smooth and the flavor was tasty. We will definitely stop in on our next trip up the coast. read more

Doesn't look like much from the outside, but the coffee and back patio are A-class. Don't skip on the orange flavored latte. I can't remember exactly what they called it, but it's name should be "heaven". Pairs well with a trip to the beach and a stroll through the shops. read more

The coffee was really good, very smooth and not too sweet. The croissant was very tasty as well! My main drawback was the service. The baristas were not very friendly and seemed uninterested in seeing if I needed help ordering. If it was not for the service I would have given the food/drink 5 stars. read more

This is a review for the Iced Coffee only as it's all I've had. My wife and I decided to stop here while on our way to Zuma Beach. We each got an iced coffee. I got mine black, she got her iced coffee with some oat milk. They were both absolutely horrible tasting. We each took a sip and nearly spit it out immediately. We each took another taste just to make sure, but no. It was so extremely bitter we ended up just throwing them away when we got to the beach. For $4 per iced coffee I was expecting it to be mediocre at best. If I had tasted it in the store I would have asked for my money back immediately but we were already on the road when we took our first sip. 2 stars as I can only judge the iced coffee and nothing else. Stopped on my way thru Malibu. Nice atmosphere. Coffee was.....ok. Staff was pleasant. But if you're looking to be able to connect to WiFi, forget it. They don't offer it. This isn't a bad thing. You just need to know what you're not getting. Oh, I sat out back on the really nice patio and there was absolutely no cell reception either. So if you don't need WiFi or cell reception, this is the place to be. It will force you to sit and reflect. read more

Caffe Luxxe is such a fun spot! Not only is there plenty of seating inside, but there is an outdoor area behind the store for customers to enjoy their drinks. I ordered an iced vanilla latte and, even though they first made a hot latte, the guys behind the counter apologized and quickly made the correct order, no problem They were so nice and worked quickly to serve everyone in line. I also love the little items they have for sale around the store. Their stationary is so cute and I ended up buying a birthday card for a friend. Overall, the latte was great and the service was friendly. I only wish it had opened sooner! Also, as of 7/20/17 they still do not have WiFi, so it's not quite the study spot it could be to attract Pepperdine students. read more

I got here at 4:59 PM (a minute before closing) and they still served us! We got the Caramel Latte (iced) and Vanilla Latte (iced) that was recommended by the barista. On point! This place is a gem and I like going there, the staff is friendly and the coffee is good. For the sake of longevity however, I really hope they watch the ever rising prices, drinks pushing $9 will eventually make clients look elsewhere and I would hate for this place to suffer the same fate as many others in the area. Caffe Luxxe is a cute and inviting little cafe and a welcome addition to Malibu/PCH. My group ordered a couple Lattes, Apricot Zest Iced Tea, and the Shakerato (a cold espresso drink with drizzled dark chocolate). The Apricot Zest Tea tasted refreshing and herbal, however the Shakerato is a must try! I want to be clear, I am not a coffee fan, but that Shakerato was DELICIOUS! Prices were reasonable for Malibu (which are often very unreasonable) -- the iced tea cost just $3 and the coffee drinks around that price range. The cafe's ambiance felt open and airy, unpretentious yet sophisticated. The staff were all very friendly and well-trained even on their Grand Opening day. The cafe has a lot of seating inside, though I wish they would add a few tables and chairs to their outside patio. Sitting outside sipping tea or coffee on a sun-shiny Malibu day would be so lovely. Also, the cafe can be pretty loud if a lot of people are inside. The cafe has a parking lot in front with many spaces. They also sell cute greeting cards, notebooks, and gifts. Two words: Cafe Nico It's a tiny espresso drink that is the most delicious drink I have had in a while. The coffee is also delicious. Specifically because drinking it black was enjoyable and not disgusting. There is a lot of seating (inside and outside) with a few outlets (inside). I am not sure if there is wifi. I got absolutely no reception on my phone as soon as I walked in the door, which was amazing for me because I was so productive. The cushioned chairs are incredibly comfortable. It was like sitting on a cloud. The baristas are really sweet and helpful. There are a ton of tea and coffee/espresso options, all of which look really good. There is sufficient parking in the private parking lot The only downfall are the hours. They close early, which means I miss out on it during the week. I highly recommend. Stumbled across this place by accident, but so glad we did. They have a wide selection of different styles of coffee from different countries and the server whom helped us seemed knowledgeable about it all! quality coffee shop located on PCH. inside has few seats and also has some outdoor seating. if you have any questions about coffee , staffs will explain to you. i tried caffe nico which has strongest cinnamon taste i ever had and it tastes a little bit sweet. original size is small but you can aske for medium or large. read more

Cafe luxxe is my go to coffee spot anytime I'm driving past this area on PCH. I used to live down the street from the Santa Monica location and this was by far the best coffee in the area. A lot of other places don't seem to have the freshest grinds but every time I stop here o always taste the freshness in the coffee roast and the grind. Not to mention the staff at the Malibu location are always super friendly. I don't usually eat here but the few times I have had the pastries from milo and olive they are incredible. read more

The atmosphere and vibe of the shop are very good. However, both my friend and I ordered a pour over and the barista proceeded to pour water straight into the grounds without taking any time at all. Even more, she had it on a scale and the scale wasn't even on. It is possible that she has been working there long enough to know how much water to add but I highly doubt that. read more

Call me a psychopath, but I base the quality of a cafe by the coffee they brew. With this place it taste as if they wanted to make a cup of coffee but forgot to add coffee and instead replaced it with arrogance and insecurities.. Now with that said. They do make funny drinks like cappuccino and lates pretty damn well. And the pasties are good too but make sure you get a loan out before hand cause it's expensive. read more

I would say as far as a coffee house would go specifically Caffe luxxe is it really great coffee house The people there are really nice I like the design aesthetic they have a really pretty back area that you can kind of just sit shoot the breeze and talk and the quality of the coffee's actually very good as a coffee official or connoisseur I can say it's some of the best coffee I've had in the valley or even in Malibu I would say if you're anywhere near the area this is definitely a place you want to check out and don't miss out read more

I stay in Malibu a few days every year and my 1st stop is always to Caffe Luxxe for a Café Nico. The drink is small but very good. This last time I got an iced mocha as well, and it was delicious. It is located on Busy PCH, so it can be challenging getting in and out of the parking lot. The parking lot is small, but I've always found parking when I went later in the day. Their location is very clean inside & the staff is always helpful. The ocean is right across the street! Perfect place to take your coffee for a walk along the beach. I don't know much about coffee, but I believe Caffe Luxxe will satisfy all types of coffee connoisseurs. Enjoy! read more

We are a local business owned by 2 best friends who are obsessed with coffee. Since we opened in 2006, we have grown to 3 caffes in Malibu, Santa Monica, and Brentwood. We aspire to be a place for our neighborhood friends and family to share time together, just like our experiences in caffes all around Europe. We purposely have never featured wi-fi in our caffes, as we appreciate the escape from our technology even if just for a moment. And finally they make you pay almost $50 mandatory service charge for this poor service.

In re-reviewing the menus here, I noticed several items that were over 1,000 calories - not quite as health-conscious as I remember, but I knew it had to be just as delicious. Thankfully, I was right. I had the Spicy Tuna Poke Bowl which comes with a generous helping of avocado, cucumber, arugula, green onions / scallions, radish, spicy mayo, cilantro rice, and raw tuna. For about $35 with tax and tip, this was a rather hearty lunch that two people could easily share. I didn't mix it, as I prefer to eat ingredients separately, and received a soy ginger sauce on the side to complement the flavors. My friend opted for the Spicy Salmon Wrap, made with a specifically gluten-free wrap. That option comes with cooked salmon (which she found to be dry), edamame, carrots, avocado, and cilantro rice - as well as a side of fruit and the same soy ginger dressing/sauce I had. She wasn't wow'ed by the flavor, which may be because of the wrap, or the gluten-free nature of the preparation, or the salmon itself. The exterior patio seating is new, fun, and reminds me a bit of the La La Land coffee shop in Calabasas. Gorgeous place to have brunch or lunch outdoors and soak in some Malibu overcast. Service was efficient, personable, and polite. Plenty of staff to handle the crowd on a Saturday afternoon. Food came out quickly and tables were bussed in a timely manner. Free parking is available in the back lot, or else in the underground garage. There's also valet parking for $8 (all-day) toward the front.

Drinks are a plus, clean without the jitters, and service is eh, but they're always busy, so it is what it is.

I absolutely used to go crazy over their Curry mango chicken salad, I wish they would bring that back. Good for sandwiches, light salads, eggs. It's a fairly small menu but easy to find healthy enough options, as well as traditional hardier brunch selections.

It's not icy, however since it was a hot day it melted and became watery way too fast. The pink cloud smoothie tastes like the blended fruits with no added sugar. I tasted mostly of the dragon fruit. It didn't taste sweet at all and I wasn't expecting that since it had banana. If you're looking for a sweet smoothie, this isn't for you. Overall, SunLife Organics definitely uses fresh real fruit and is natural tasting. I recommend for those who are health conscious.
