This is a cute, seemingly authentic Italian caffe in Walnut Creek. I think my mistake was to order a matcha instead of an espresso drink; espresso and deserts seem to be more of the speciality here and I did notice a small menu as well (pizza and sandwiches mostly!). It's a cute interior and friendly staff. I was disappointed by the matcha, especially since it was crunchy and not stirred very well. I also wanted it hot, but it was iced. I'll have to come back and try a coffee drink next time which I'm sure would be a better experience!

First off, this place has the ambiance of a euro cafe, the espresso options and baked goods were super delicious! We didn't try the salads or food options but we will when we return. We were looking for coffee and pastries and they delivered. The girl at the counter was so kind, patient and answered our questions on the desserts we weren't familiar with. I had the Boston cream pie and tiramisu which were amazing! There's also outside seating too in a private courtyard for non-cold days. Cozy inside! Minus 1 star due to lack of parking options and accessibility but other than that no bad options here!

Amazing place to have morning coffee, a brunch mimosas, and also food available to enjoy the time there. Bathrooms are available but you have to ask for the code. Girls are always with the smile, nice, and attentive.

In my opinion it's the best coffee shop in Walnut creek. Always a delight walking in and smelling good quality coffee and able to talk with the friendly employees.

Good deserts both light deserts and not too sweet. Good little coffee and deserts place

Plenty of tables and great service.

I like the fact that this place is open early and late in the evening. It is a great spot to film (yes like a YouTube short), read, meet, or just enjoy a cup of coffee and people watch. It is easily accessible for people on crutches or wheelchairs. I was on crutches so this was a great place for me. They also have fresh baked pastries and a breakfast and lunch menu with about 10 items each. Pro tip: it opens at 9am, but street parking is free before 10am so get here early!

Great vibe and friendly staffs. What a perfect place to enjoy your weekend morning with coffee, classic Italian desserts, and sandwiches. Its my second time enjoying their Sandwiches and it still takes good. They lightly grilled the bread with butter for crispiness and the sauce and contents are well balanced. I tried their pistachio cake which was very light and soft. Lovely. This place is definitely distict from those chain coffee stores...

Nice cafe that also serves meals. We tried the pear salad and a pizza both were very good. I would definitely go back to try the coffee and pastries like tiramisu or cannoli. Friendly staff you order at the counter, pay and they bring the order to your table.

Intimate little cafe with selection sandwiches, salads, pizza and drinks. We had a couple of paninis and a sandwich. Everything came with a side salad and were delicious. Cheese was gooey, veggies fresh, and bread toasted well. This is a popular hang out spot so there are tables with signs limiting your time. Can see why it's popular with good food and service. Near the Lesher Center so parking is a challeng me but good apot for lunch if you are in area.

I came across this cafe while looking for dessert after dinner in downtown. I was surprised to see a cafe open late as it's not a common thing in our area. It was packed inside with every table occupied and the cashier said it was pretty slow for a Wednesday night. The menu offered the usual cafe items but also some alcoholic beverages which was unique. I ordered the tiramisu which was delicious and sat outside on their patio. I typically prefer a more lowkey and spacious cafe, but this was an interesting spot nonetheless if elbow to elbow is your vibe.

He ended up ordering an iced turkish coffee with milk. It was hot outside, so I went in to grab some water. Their water container was not only basically empty, but it was also warm. Gross. I decided I would rather pay for a cup of iced water (because in a lot of the places I've been to, they charge for it). I go up to the register and ask if I can buy a plastic cup with iced water. The cashier/pastry cook/barista says, "Water?" and I repeat that I want a cup with iced water. She says, "Ice?" and I say, yes please. She goes right next to where the other barista is and she grab a scoop full of ice and gestures it to me. I'm kind of confused by this point, and it seems like the other barista is too. And then I ask again if I can get it in a plastic cup. Then the other barista points to one of the paper cups next to the warm water container, but then I ask them again if I could please get it in one of the cups they have, (because I wanted to be able to carry it around with a lid). That's when the other barista says, "You're doing too much, but okay." And she passes me the plastic cup, without a lid, acting as if I just asked her for her whole paycheck and half the drinks on the menu. I'm definitely annoyed at this point, but I don't care enough to be rude back. Then she says she's going to fill up the container. So she goes, gets the container to fill it up, and I'm there waiting with my friend in the store. It looks like she's the only barista there, so it keeps taking a little longer for the drink(s) to come out. When she finally comes back with a semi-filled container, I'm conversing with my friend, when she turns sharply and says, "Were you going to order anything??" in a pretty snappy tone, as if I'm only worth giving a plastic cup to if I'm going to order more. We reply that we already ordered, and she goes back to finish drinks that a previous customer had ordered. It's two drinks, and I assume that it took about 12-15 minutes for them to receive what looked like small hot drinks. I say this because these customers were sitting there well before my friend and I arrived, took time to order, and then were waiting for our drinks. After that, we're still waiting while she goes to take orders, and that's when the cashier/pastry cook/barista woman finishes my friends drink... after having stood there FOREVER while the other barista was going in circles. I was shocked to say the least, kind of amused, but also disappointed because these customers drink was about 8-9 bucks, the wait time was about 8-10 minutes, and the drink was disgusting. Actually insane. I don't recommend this place whatsoever. Place looks mid, service was abominable, and the workers look like they hate each other and anyone who asks for a plastic cup with iced water. Do better, and preferably give us back our money for the nasty drink+attitude combo.

Before we got deep into our drive, we wanted to stop for some coffee, and this spot happened to be open and on our way. We're not super familiar with coffee in the Bay Area, and for most of our trip we hadn't chosen great shops to visit. Panama Bay, however, really surprised us. A lot about this spot felt unassuming to us. It's a small cottage on the corner that stands out from the taller, more modern apartment buildings around it. There's not much space indoors. All of their seating is outdoors, located next to their outdoor pickup window. It's a little more offbeat than your average coffee spot, but it's really charming. The great service was one of the first things I noticed. Our two baristas were very friendly, chatting with us about our trip, and giving menu recommendations. All of this was greatly appreciated, especially since their menu has many options. They had an extensive list of syrup flavors, lattes, pour over coffee, and breakfast sandwiches. I grabbed a banana latte, and breakfast sandwich. The coffee was flavorful, and the sandwich has the best chipotle mayo. My partner tried the Mayan pour over, and he really loved his drink. Everything that we ordered was fantastic, and the friendly baristas really made our visit. This was easily the best coffee spot we visited during our trip I definitely recommend dropping by this spot if you're nearby, and I'll definitely be back in the future if I'm ever back up north.

Although the location is not prominent, pictures of their beautifully crafted drinks and delicious bánh mì sandwiches have been spreading across different social media platforms. So much so that they have been featured in reporting by several local media outlets. Out of curiosity, I decided to check this spot out with my brother and a couple friends on 08/29/2025. It wasn't busy when we walked in at around noon. A quick glance revealed a space that's tiny but well organized. We were greeted by Thuy, the friendly proprietor of the establishment. Since this was our first visit, it took us a while to figure out what we wanted. In the end, we each got a bánh mì sandwich and a beverage. Pricing was reasonable IMHO (see menu pic). I had the cold cut bánh mì and an iced coffee. I gave half of my sandwich to my brother, and he gave me half of his grilled chicken bánh mì in return. Both sandwiches were delicious! The baguette was excellent. It was crispy on the outside and soft and spongy on the inside. Thuy told me later on that she gets them from Duc Huong Sandwiches, a famed Vietnamese sandwich chain in San Jose. The homemade pâté, cold cuts, and grilled chicken were all delicious, and the produce was very fresh. The iced coffee was very good as well. We chatted with Thuy extensively before and after our meal. She told us she was a banker prior to opening this café. From our conversation, I could tell she takes pride in her work. We were all very impressed by her demeanor and business acumen. Should you find yourself in downtown Walnut Creek, do yourself a favor and give this place a try. You will not be disappointed. 5 stars.
