Very unfriendly staff . May b one of the staff (probably latino) was okay kinda . But overall experience was bad gave me undercooked food, even though it took them forever to make it. I love Caffè bean . The food is always great . I hope they bring in some improvements among the staff. read more

This is the best cafe I have ever been to! They have a rather large menu with tasty savory and sweet dishes. I was especially impressed by their expresso, which instantly reminded me of delicious coffee I drank in Rome. In terms of savory foods their salmon avocado sandwhich was a favorite. The service was great; they had friendly staff and speedy service. What more can i ask for!? The cafe was decorated nicely giving me a homey feel, the seats were comfortable, on top of that the wifi was fast. I can not praise this cafe enough, I will definitely be returning! read more

First off, where the line starts isn't clear for customers. I had some people skip me but whatever. I tried a seafood wrap and it was oddly fishy as in rotten or spoiled, I nearly threw up. The women at the counter also forgot my order of hot tea and I waited 20 minutes for water with a teabag in it. The seats aren't bad but I wouldn't go back. Was really excited that. Cafe Bene was opening right around the corner from my house. Tried them twice. Horrible. Service seems confused and the only thing consistent about the beverage quality is that it is poor. Ordered my usual misugaru latte twice. Both times they were terribly under-mixed and left me chewing whole chunks of mushy grain mix. I ended up throwing them both out. A friend ordered a macchiato which was lukewarm. People who ordered after got their food and beverages before us. Maybe it's grand opening pangs. Or maybe franchising is just not the greatest thing for this brand. read more

First time I came here it wasn't so bad... I mean my drink could have been a little bit better but overall not that bad... But today I decided to give it another try... This time not getting the ice drink like before I got the chocolate layered cake and coffee gelato... The cake tasted stale and the gelato was definitely freezer burned. This has to be the best Caffebene of all of the ones in Queens and the city! It's a great place to socialize with friends and/or study by yourself. There are lots of different areas for seating whether it be to host a large group or just a single individual. To top it all off, the desserts, sandwiches and drinks are unbelievably delicious and very cheap considering the amazing quality. The staff are always kind and warmhearted. They're constantly trying their best to give the customers the best experience by taking and making orders fast yet, keeping it all up to par, and always cleaning off tables and floors. The coffeehouse is spotless! I come here with my friends very often to just talk or to study. It's the go to place! Guess we can call it the Central Perk of modern day Queens! read more

Comfy seats, friendly service, cheaper than Dunkin/Starbucks and the coffee is really good and strong too. The banana waffles are also very good but at $6.99, I find it overpriced. It tasted great but still not worth the hefty price. read more

I love this place!! Right near my house and such a great, extremely necessary addition to this neighborhood. The food is great, the coffee and drinks are great, the service is great, and there's plenty of seats to sit, hang out and just relax. Plus all the old folk from Starbucks don't come here before the sun and take up seats all day. I mean - I don't mind if you come but c'mon. Don't take up a seat for 10 hours. I have been here a lot of times to get my coffee, and firstly i want to say its a great location that this place is here, we needed one close by, and it's very spacious, and quiet. I do have to say that the first time I came the customer service was amazing, this one particular girl, she had an amazing customer service. That day she made me a Caramel Latte and I loved it completely. I kept coming after a while, and I remember her name once she had a name tag, Natali, and I have to say, the way she makes coffee is amazing. I don't know what she does but I never had a complaint about my coffee. I have heard other customers ask for her recently these past few days, especially me since she does my coffee as well. One of the employees that work there told me she was gone, doesn't work here anymore. I was shocked and surprised because she was a great barista, has great customer service and she was very very friendly. I haven't gone back, not for anything bad, but she was the person that I would ask to do my coffee. But i want to say that its great, the sandwiches are good, the rest of the people there are very nice, and I hope I can come in and get coffee like the way she did it. I find it a little cluttered near the registers and the coffee bar. I wish there were more non-caffeinated options for the evenings. But it's a nice spot with plenty of outlets for those with limited batteries doing a little work outside of the home or office. I wish the lighting was better though. Cute Edison bulbs hang in the window, but it gets dark and you really, really notice the cheap fluorescent bulbs glaring down on you if you're seated in the middle. read more

My two star review is solely based on, so far, three of the four things I have tried at this particular Caffebene. The four things happen to be my favorite four things. The two stars are not about the physical space (which is satisfactory) or customer service in the place(workers were courteous, helpful, and efficient). I am a Caffebene fan, and so I am happy that there is now one in my own neighborhood. I have been going and still go to the one in Flushing two days a week.(Because of my child's activities there!) I'll start with what was good enough, in my experience, in Jackson Heights: Misugaru Latte. The three other things I tried that I love LOOKED THE SAME BUT WERE NOT THE SAME as the ones I regularly get in Flushing. This means, presentation is good and ingredients are the same. The waffle (in blueberry and cream topped waffle) the honey bread (in cinnamon honey bread), and the bread in teriyaki chicken sandwich-- were still cold and hard in some parts. Fresh from the refrigerator and not warmed/toasted enough? I don't know what Flushing's secret is (enough number of minutes for heating up bread?), but Flushing's versions are always worth waiting for. (A longer wait for something that's not cheap is ok as long as the over-all quality is great.) The bread is evenly warm and soft without being mushy and crispy and easy to cut where it should be crispy as in the case of the outer part of sandwich in teriyaki chicken sandwich. The delicious combination of flavors in these Caffebene signature things did not hide the insufficienty heated bread. I would not whine if I only experienced this once. But I came on different days and times (and even weeks between) so it couldn't be just tough luck on one day. I look forward to being able to review this place again and giving it five stars. But some attention must be given to this detail. (Other cookies and pastries and chips... are not the signature stuff of caffebene. These things that I pointed out are among them!) read more

As a regular customer, I must say that from managers to staff to quality, I rate this Caffe Bene as exceptional and superb from every perspective. The staff is charming and welcoming, and a true pleasure to encounter (which is a breath of fresh air in NYC's often fast paced and ferocious lifestyle). The area is well-kept and well-organized, but what stands out the most is the cleanliness, from the tables to the bathroom, which is not easy with the large numbers of customers that flow through here daily. But their staff is always on point and attentive. And most importantly, the food is delicious! All their items, from their signature sandwiches to their buttery pastries, the items are delectable and high quality. My recent new favorite is their lychee mango drink and their Portobello sandwich. And a MUST TRY are their freshly made, piping hot waffles (my fav is their banana walnut)! Great job, Caffe Bene! You're an added delight to the area! read more
