Simply one of the best places in the Valley for excellent food at an amazing price. The Greek salad is unbelievably good and I just had it in February, which is not known for tasty veggies. Somehow the tomatoes, peppers etc tasted like homegrown August produce! I have been a regular patron here and have never seen a plate I didn't envy. Don't even get me started on the homemade soups; stunning. Service is perfect; present but not intrusive. The patio out back is lovely, shaded, relaxing and spacious. Throw in the mission to serve the community and help people suffering from disabilities and I don't know how they could possibly be better. Maybe extend the hours to dinner? Pretty please? read more

Café the Lodge serves up the best sandwich in Bethlehem and does so at an excellent price. If you are at all fond of Cuban sandwiches, or if you've never had one and think that you might like to give it a try, visiting the Lodge is a must. The Cuban is their staple item, and it's definitely among the tastiest things that you are likely to eat in the Lehigh Valley, but this isn't a one trick pony scenario. The restaurant also offers up a variety of other delicious meals, all priced at great levels given the quality. If there's one thing that might detract slightly from your Lodge experience, it's that service, in very rare instances, can be a bit spotty. This likely stems from the fact that the Lodge was founded, in part, to provide work opportunities to individuals dealing with, and recovering from, mental illness. If this sounds a bit scary, I'd urge that you not let it put you off. I imagine most people that stop in the restaurant never pick up on this fact, and I only note it because it can, on rare occasion, have a small impact on service. I think that the social good provided by the Lodge vastly outweighs these small issues, and the general feel in the establishment is very pleasant. It seems clear that the restaurant operates with a family-like atmosphere, and it's also apparent that management cares a lot about staff and the overall dining experience. Support the local restaurants..... This is a very nice place to find. Coming from the walking/cycling path there is a back "shed" that currently sells ice cream and drinks along the bicycle/walking path. Soon this building will also let you order from the restaurant up the walkway. There are tables around this little building or there are benches along the path. Going up the walkway towards the main restaurant you will pass through a lovely garden and pond and more tables and seats. Once into the restaurant it is clean, new and free WiFi. Very nice for a lunch meeting. The food is well made, nicely presented and brought out to you. If you are going to sit outside, let them know this at the counter. We had paninis and they came with a fresh made cole slaw. There are various goodies that are sometimes there and sometimes not. It all depends on how many people have picked the fresh made quiche or cookies or ...... Drinks were the usual canned but had an additional three large carafes for iced teas. You don't think you will be filled but I think you will find that the panini will fill you up. Enjoy. read more

I've only been here a few times and keep meaning to go more often! The food is good and very fresh. I've sat inside and out in the garden, and both are peaceful and welcoming. Service is extremely fast and friendly. On top of it, I love the cause. The only thing I wish is that it were open a little later in the day. read more

Have eaten here many times since I wrote my review. The food is the BEST! No one in Bethlehem, not even Jumbar's makes a quiche this good and especially not for the price. it is always a nice big slice rich with eggs and cheese, just melts on the tongue no matter what veg & meat ingredients. And you get a wonderful mixed side salad with the freshest mesclun and other local greens & grape tomatoes with a tasty dressing that you can have on the side. read more

I have had almost everything on the menu and it is all amazingly delicious. the sandwiches and wraps, especially the cuban, are awesome. The salads are great, even the cookies and pastries are awesome. The best part is that its cheap and fast with big portions. All of the proceeds go to the mental health center there so it is even charitable to eat there. Everyone should eat there. read more
