We've been exploring our surroundings near our hometel since we moved in after selling our house. Today we were in the mood for Thai so as we concluded our errands I called in our order to be picked up on our way back to our hotel. As is my custom, I always try Gang Gai (Red Curry) medium first at a new place to get a normalized taste comparison to other Thai places we have eaten at before. My wife has developed a taste for Drunken Noodles and she ordered that with Tofu, mild spice. The order was ready when we picked it up 15 minutes later, as promised, Gang Gai was just what I expected with rich flavors and spice level how I like it and was a good portion size with a good number of Shrimp and crunchy Green Peppers. My wife said the Drunken Noodles flavor was stronger than expected and a bit saltier than she likes; she said she would order something else next time. People were nice and I was in and out with our order in under five minutes!

I finally had a chance to try this restaurant. When I went last year, they were closed for remodeling. The drunken noodles are great and had just the right amount of medium spice which I requested. I stopped in for a quick takeout, and it was ready in about 10 minutes. I will return again when I have a craving for noodles.

Good food, great service. Out of Towner who they setup with utensils and extra take out container's to use as a bowl. I was trying to get a Red Curry Chicken; they sold me a C1 Pad Pak dinner with chicken. Had the vegetables instead of bamboo. It turned out well. I was satisfied with the meal. Ordered it Mild, could have gone Medium intensity.

The woman that takes the orders does it all up front. She handed me my order, brought me water, took my order and double and triple checked my order, spice level and made sure I was okay with everything in my order too. Especially eggs and peanuts for any allergy or vegan orders. It's a small place. There are 18 seats and 3 by the counter to wait for carry outs. The soup of the day is chicken rice soup. Must just be rice soup in a chicken broth, only found a few tiny trace amounts of chicken. Not my thing, it's super bland and tasteless to me. The pad Thai looks good, tofu is cut thin. Tastes good and it has some major kick to it, too spicy for me but will be suitable for my husband. The massaman curry is also good, liking the peanut crunch in the dish, the peas take a bit of getting used, still a good dish. The pad pak isn't bad, tasty as well. The sauce is spicy and lovely. The tofu tastes strange somehow with the pad pak sauce, fishy even. The steamed tofu is better with the pad Thai and the massaman curry. Found 3 baby corns in my pad pak. Guess it didn't matter that she checked my order 3 times and that I asked her one more time to make sure my pad pak was made without corn in it. I think the pad Thai is the best of the 3 dishes. The service here is quick, food comes out in lightening speed here. The waitress, cashier and busser seems like a no nonsense person, quick and to the point. I do wish I had known the massaman and the pad pak came in the bowl with the dish, not fond of leftovers with soggy rice and I don't even eat the rice anyways.

We enjoyed our meal in this sweet little place. Most people pick up take-out but we sat at one of 4 tables available here. My vegetarian Tom Ka soup with tofu was fantastic and so was my vegetables with tofu. Hubby enjoyed shrimp and veggies! 2 thumbs up!

I was recently hired by Doordash to photograph some of Cafe Thai menu items. The owner Nora, was well prepared and had all the delicious looking meals on display. As you can see, the food is very authentic and the portions are large. Best of all, I had the Drunken noodles, apps, and the spicy beef kaffir lime leaves. DELICIOUS!! She has been open for 20 years and boasts a wonderful following of regulars. The prices are very affordable for the quality taste you receive. This hidden gem is on my my top 10 list I am sure it will be on yours. Get here. You will not be disappointed.

9/26/2022 Cafe Thai is reopened! Cafe Thai is delicious. My favorite Thai spot in Michigan hands down. Been missing it so bad over the last 6 months while they worked on reopening. The Pad Ped and Drunken Noodle are my usual orders but everything on the menu is so good

Kacha Thai Market - Green curry with chicken( medium )

Surprisingly tasty food and excellent service. This is a genuine and authentic Thai restaurant. The…read moreladies who served us were accommodating (peanut allergy) and went out of their way on a busy Sunday afternoon to explain details and comparisons on the menu. I liked the question "what Spicy level do you want ... (mild/medium/spicy)" for each dish. Decent sized portions and tasty food. The many and varied Pad Thai plates beckoned and we tried the omlette Pad Thai which was delicious and piping hot. Chicken Tom Yum soup and shrimp fried rice also were pleasurable. The atmosphere is really casual - the layout is more of a cafe than a formal dining room. I would definitely return and with friends.

To start, we got moo krob (deep fried pork belly) which is the Thai version of Chinese siu yook. I have to say, I like siu yook so much more - it's a lot more flavorful having been marinated with five spice and served with delicious sweet hoisin sauce for dipping. The pork here was bland and the sauce (fish sauce based) was pretty one note. For my entree, I got rad na (rice noodles with gravy, Chinese broccoli, carrots, and choice of meat - I got pork) which was one of the best I've ever had! They used fresh rice noodles and sautéed it properly to give it the "wok hei" (wok-seared flavor). The gravy was deep and flavorful and the portion size was very good. If everything else was as good as my entree, I'd give this restaurant 5 stars. Unfortunately, my mom's Kao mun gai (steamed chicken with rice and "special sauce") was awful. She asked if the dish had any spice because she can't do spicy, and the server said no, so she decided she'd try it. The chicken was way overcooked and dry, with no flavor at all. The sauce, the only thing providing flavor and moisture, was spicy so that she couldn't eat it. We asked if there was any sauce she could get instead that wasn't spicy, and they said no, but they can give us a bottle of soy sauce. So my mom used some of that, and also took some of my rad na gravy. But because the chicken was so dry and bland, it was beyond saving. My dad got the Thai basil fried rice, mild spice. It was definitely hotter than other Thai restaurants' mild, and my dad said the spice overwhelmed the other flavors. I tried some of it and it was not bad, but nothing remarkable. They told us that traditionally, it's served with the rice on the side, which was strange to me because then it's not fried rice - it's sautéed meat and veggies with rice on the side. I am curious about how some of the other dishes taste here, but it's a shame that 3/4 of the things we ordered were mediocre to downright bad. While I enjoyed my entree, I felt bad my parents didn't enjoy their food.

The food is great, but oh man they're not playing around with the spice levels. I did get hot (not Thai hot), and it's enough to bring a bit of sweat, which I love. It's not enough to mute the flavor, but it's strong and it lingers on your lips. I ordered shrimp, fully expecting to be screwed on the number of shrimp(a recurring theme in my life) - But there was a decent number, and when I chopped them up enough to work for the dish. Overall, a solid experience. I'll definitely be stopping by in person some day.

I don't know if they're having an off night or something, but the food was so bad no one finished their meal. The spring rolls taste like coleslaw, the pad Thai has zero flavor and it smells like wet hay, and the wonton soup tasted like chicken water. I honestly can't believe how terrible it was. My MIL said the curry was good (that's why I gave 2 stars), but she asked for no spice and it was quite the opposite so she couldn't eat much. We spent almost $90 on this takeout meal and it was so incredibly disappointing I can't justify ever eating here again.
