Beef fried rice with medium spices, ordered a side of red coconut curry but this is good without it.

Great food and service. I'm happy that dining in is now available. I order here frequently.

I ordered the Kow Pad with shrimp and Pad Thai with chicken. Both were very flavorful and tasty. The portions were very giving. Chicken was tender, not chewy like most places. Service was great, everyone was very friendly. I would've gave 4 stars but I thought the food was a little too sweet, I think maybe it's the sauce it's cooked in.

I drive by this place pretty much every day, so I figured I should stop in and try it out. The first thing I noticed is how crowded the place was. It's not the largest restaurant space, but wasn't the smallest either. So for it to be packed gave me a good feeling about what I was getting into. As I usually do when I try out a new place, I opted for the Pad Thai. It's usually a good choice, and it gives me some sort of basis to compare. So how was the Pad Thai? It was good. I found it tasty and enjoyable and quite filling (definitely enough for more than one sitting). The only thing I would've changed would be my own decision to get carryout instead of dining in. By the time I got to it, the noodles were probably overcooked (from the steam bath in the container), and the dish was warm. The Pad Thai was still good enough to get three stars, but I can only imagine how many stars it could've gotten if I planned my meal more wisely.

I order the Kow Pad with chicken, hot spice. It is basically fried rice, chicken, vegetables, fried egg, and very hot. I love this dish. I have tried many other things on the menu and rate them a 3star. However, this dish is a 4star for me. Tip - the food can be spicy. hot spice is generally pretty hot, so don't order it unless you enjoy the burn.

Portion sizes are a lot smaller than I have had from the restaurant before. Quality has changed. Service was decent. A little disappointed.

We eat at BHC 2-3 times per week. This is hands down the best Thai food I've found in Detroit.

I liked the question "what Spicy level do you want ... (mild/medium/spicy)" for each dish. Decent sized portions and tasty food. The many and varied Pad Thai plates beckoned and we tried the omlette Pad Thai which was delicious and piping hot. Chicken Tom Yum soup and shrimp fried rice also were pleasurable. The atmosphere is really casual - the layout is more of a cafe than a formal dining room. I would definitely return and with friends.

To start, we got moo krob (deep fried pork belly) which is the Thai version of Chinese siu yook. I have to say, I like siu yook so much more - it's a lot more flavorful having been marinated with five spice and served with delicious sweet hoisin sauce for dipping. The pork here was bland and the sauce (fish sauce based) was pretty one note. For my entree, I got rad na (rice noodles with gravy, Chinese broccoli, carrots, and choice of meat - I got pork) which was one of the best I've ever had! They used fresh rice noodles and sautéed it properly to give it the "wok hei" (wok-seared flavor). The gravy was deep and flavorful and the portion size was very good. If everything else was as good as my entree, I'd give this restaurant 5 stars. Unfortunately, my mom's Kao mun gai (steamed chicken with rice and "special sauce") was awful. She asked if the dish had any spice because she can't do spicy, and the server said no, so she decided she'd try it. The chicken was way overcooked and dry, with no flavor at all. The sauce, the only thing providing flavor and moisture, was spicy so that she couldn't eat it. We asked if there was any sauce she could get instead that wasn't spicy, and they said no, but they can give us a bottle of soy sauce. So my mom used some of that, and also took some of my rad na gravy. But because the chicken was so dry and bland, it was beyond saving. My dad got the Thai basil fried rice, mild spice. It was definitely hotter than other Thai restaurants' mild, and my dad said the spice overwhelmed the other flavors. I tried some of it and it was not bad, but nothing remarkable. They told us that traditionally, it's served with the rice on the side, which was strange to me because then it's not fried rice - it's sautéed meat and veggies with rice on the side. I am curious about how some of the other dishes taste here, but it's a shame that 3/4 of the things we ordered were mediocre to downright bad. While I enjoyed my entree, I felt bad my parents didn't enjoy their food.

The food is great, but oh man they're not playing around with the spice levels. I did get hot (not Thai hot), and it's enough to bring a bit of sweat, which I love. It's not enough to mute the flavor, but it's strong and it lingers on your lips. I ordered shrimp, fully expecting to be screwed on the number of shrimp(a recurring theme in my life) - But there was a decent number, and when I chopped them up enough to work for the dish. Overall, a solid experience. I'll definitely be stopping by in person some day.

I don't know if they're having an off night or something, but the food was so bad no one finished their meal. The spring rolls taste like coleslaw, the pad Thai has zero flavor and it smells like wet hay, and the wonton soup tasted like chicken water. I honestly can't believe how terrible it was. My MIL said the curry was good (that's why I gave 2 stars), but she asked for no spice and it was quite the opposite so she couldn't eat much. We spent almost $90 on this takeout meal and it was so incredibly disappointing I can't justify ever eating here again.
