this is our second time here, the first was amazing, warm and inviting. unfortunately it was not a good experience tonight. there was a new bartender that was clearly nervous and inexperienced, along with a drink menu that no longer has prices for cocktails. the more tenured bartender was chatting to two patrons over the course of our meal, as servers asked him to refire drinks that weren't up to expectations. the tenured bartender recommended his spin on a negroni which turned out to be a premixed drink he charged 19$ for that was good, but was a 12$ cocktail. A very disappoint experience with a surprise charge at the end, with unprofessional bar service. read more

WOW! Some of the best meatballs I've had in the city. Really enjoyed the Spaghetti alle vongole and Spaghetti Pomodoro as well. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu! read more

A perfect meal, from service and ambiance to out of this world pasta and heavenly tiramisu. We sat at the bar which meant great service from bartender Kyle, who took the time to answer all our menu questions and chat Italian alcohol, and made a delicious spritz! The pomodoro was delicious, but the crab pasta was one of the most delicious pasta's we've ever had. You cannot skip Tony's tiramisu. read more

My daughter and I luckily caught a table for two in their charming back yard on Tuesday night. I say luckily, because at 5:30 pm, the place was hopping. The tendency when you see the name is to assume, " another run of the mill, Italian place". If you do, you would be so wrong! This is Italian food done perfectly, served by a staff that is both knowledgeable and friendly. Rarely, do you find both those attributes together unfortunately, but we were delighted to find an unpretentious wait staff that was passionate about what they were serving. I could say more but I must speak about the food. Again, the tendency at first glance, is to say, " run of the mill" and I must say, this is where most Italian places go wrong, because simple food is distinguishable only by the quality of the ingredients and the attention paid to the preparation. This is where Cafe Spaghetti excels. Example? I asked our wait person, what brand of dry pasta does the chef use? Minutes later, he returned from the kitchen with a pound package of the imported fusilli they used in making the excellent ragu and pasta I had ordered. It was top of the line. The type I might use for Christmas dinner. We started with drinks. My daughter ordered an Aperol Spritz and I had a local Italian beer. Both very refreshing. Then, we shared a Speidini ( a fried cheese sandwich) that was creamy and delicious in a lemon flavored anchovy sauce that was heavenly. By now, we were really looking forward to our next choices . M ordered the broccoli rabe and sausage on orichette, and I had the ragu ala Nona that was complex and delicious. M's broccoli rabe is another example of simple food with quality ingredients and expert preparation that Cafe Spaghetti does so well. When a dish is right, you taste it immediately in the mouth feel and the perfect blend of ingredients. Both our entrees displayed that perfection I've been crowing about. I ordered a tomato and watermelon salad for us both to share next. There were roasted nuts in the salad browned darkly but without a hint of bitterness and the combination of watermelon and tomatoes was almost dessert like and restored our taste buds. M wanted to finish with a lemon sorbet and again, we both were extremely satisfied but perhaps because the kitchen was so busy, there was enough space between our courses that where we might have felt impatient, we were enjoying the night and the crowd and that feeling of satisfaction so I never once felt my usual " Where's our damned food? " gruffness characteristic of some old Italians. Instead the waiter bought M's sorbet which was again, perfect and (without our asking )an incredibly creamy cannoli with powdered sugar and tiny cherries that was the polar opposite of the sorbet! As we were leaving, he said goodbye and exclaimed " See you next time" He most definitely will! read more

Came here for my birthday dinner and it was lovely! We sat in the back patio and it was perfect. There are stringlights and umbrellas and cute decorations everywhere. The food is also incredible. My favorites are the ravioli, the lemon sorbet, the tiramisu and the BURRATA. The burrata was one of the best I've ever had! The staff are also very very nice! So glad this place opened! read more

Just wonderful. It's a perfect date spot. Food is so delicious and simple. No frills Italian. Service is always good. Owner is super nice as well. Highly recommended. read more

The pasta here was delicious a must try, we went with a group of 10 and is was fantastic. Everything taste like it was made it Italy. So authentic. The food was so delicious I don't think we took one photo. We ate everything on arrival. Service was great as well. read more

Great food and service. One of those places you don't want others to know about (too late) because it is such a neighborhood treasure. Our waiter was fantastic and helped us pick great drinks. We all had very different drinks and they were all fantastic. The glass room gives a great ambiance to the place too. I don't want to share this place! read more

Had another wonderful dinner at Spaghetti! Sal runs a wonderful operation that never fails to impress. Our server, Joey, took great care of us! Highly recommend! read more

Elite place. Elite food. Elite service. Vibes immaculate. You'd be a fool not to eat here.

It's not worth the wait. Food was fine, house wine was not fine at all. Service was quick. And it's not too expensive. ‍ read more

Eggplant parm! I could eat this every day and be happy! The brussel sprouts are also amazing. We've been here and have had wonderful service, but then have had 2 times when service was definitely lacking. The inside is small, but the back outdoor area is such a great space. read more

I'm sad to say that while we loved the ambiance and the service, the food was just meh. We had the squash pasta, which was good, not great, and the spaghetti vongole, which was weirdly bitter and slightly burnt tasting. I wanted to love it, but the pasta doesn't hold a candle to the other Italian places nearby. Oh well, happy to see that I'm in the minority, because it really was charming otherwise. read more

I couldn't speak more highly of the staff at Cafe Spaghetti. Yes, the food is delicious but what is more impressive is how accommodating, welcoming and interactive they are with the children who visit their restaurant. I was recently there with a friend, with our 2 one year old children. The kids were pretty well behaved, but the wait staff were playing with them, helping them and overall just going above and beyond. A true gem in the neighborhood. read more

Delicious pastas. The eggplant parm is on the dinner menu only but ask for it & they'll serve it at brunch. I wasn't personally a fan but the rest of the table loved it. read more

Awesome pasta options, cute ambiance, and good service. Have visited several times so far and will definitely be back.

Very disappointing experience. If I could rate the food separately that would be a 5. But sadly we'll never be coming back based on the bafflingly bad service. My sister spilled her full glass of soda all over herself and the table, and we all scrambled to help clean up, which entailed using all of the napkins we had at the table. Our waitress and the other staff saw us but didn't offer to help at all, and then when we asked for more napkins to finish cleaning up the spill we were made to feel like we were being very difficult. (Again, no offer to help us clean up.) When we did get the 2 additional napkins they offered us and used them up, we asked for napkins for ourselves since we'd used them for the spill, and we've never felt like such a nuisance at a restaurant before. We had to ask several times and were met with clear aggravation. My family was a bit shocked, and at this point we all said you just have to laugh at how bad the experience was. It's such a bummer because the food was great, but nothing can make up for the treatment we had. No one should have to feel like you're pissing off the restaurant staff by asking for napkins :( read more

Excellent lunch in every way. We sat in the heated patio, which was great because tables are spaced apart and it feels airy. We ordered the Caesar salad, arancini, breakfast spaghetti and orecchiette with sausage. Not a bite was left. Just a perfect Sunday experience. Super friendly staff made us feel very welcome. read more

Came here for a friends birthday dinner. The service was great, staff was pretty attentive and made sure we were pleased throughout the entire experience! The reason for the 3 for me was the flavors in the food just weren't there. I by no means am an expert of Italian cuisine but growing up blocks from little Italy and visiting the country, it just didn't wow me. We ordered meatballs, romaine cesar salad, rice balls, spaghetti pomodoro, the ravioli, and chicken francense with spinach. The apps aside from the meatballs were pretty bland, didn't really get a ciao y pepe taste. The spaghetti tasted like salt more than anything, to be honest it overpowered the actual tomato sauce. I will say the meatballs and ravioli were good, chicken was a bit dry and lacked flavor. We ordered the tiramisu and that was ok. Like I said for $240 expected more flavor and maybe bigger portion sizes. Don't see myself returning. read more

This was our first time at cafe spaghetti, our children have been there many times and been raving about it. Well me being me, I was like, how good could it be? I have to say, it was even better than they described. We were there for brunch today and I was just blown away, everything was unbelievable, I had ricotta pancakes that were just delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant, you will not be disappointed. read more

New favorite in the neighborhood. Everything was beyond delicious and the atmosphere is so intimate and fun. Our server Alex was so kind and made amazing recommendations. We had such a romantic dinner here, I cannot recommend it enough. Run here! read more

I receive the wrong order. Because the restaurant doesn't have a phone number, neither me nor Door Dash could get ahold of anyone to fix it. I eventually just gave up. Unfortunately the dinner wasn't one I could eat. read more

So cute! Great service! Delicious food! Be prepared to wait without reservations. Worth it!

I was thrilled to get a reservation after the restaurant was reviewed in the New York Times. I was first in line to reserve weeks ahead, their minimum. (They did have walk-ins, as I learned.) All staff here, from hostess to servers and busboys, were unbelievably friendly and attentive. They really seemed to enjoy their work and their visitors' presence and enthusiasm. The food was outstanding. I had spaghetti and clams and broccoli--highly recommended! They even provided sparklers and ice cream for my birthday. I was so touched. I live locally and will go back. Must try the tiramisu! read more

Sat outside in the back patio and had a lovely meal. Our server was attentive and friendly and everything we ate was fresh and tasty. I also appreciated how quick the service was and how well staffed the entire business was we particularly enjoyed the rice balls and the watermelon tomato appetizer. read more

Overhyped and mediocre at best. Why it is so hard to make a reservation is beyond me. Don't come in with high expectations for the guanciale. Gelato was redeeming. Service was very good. Environment and ambiance were both nice. read more

Amazing! What a wonderful addition to our neighbourhood. Our caesar salad, crostini and pastas were absolutely delicious! They have nice wine selections and other libations. The staff couldn't be nicer, made us feel special :) Looking forward to our next visit! read more

While the food was good, the service was terrible and the portions are way too small. If you are coming here hungry, don't!. I had to eat another meal once I got home. The only thing that came out fast was the check. read more
