We love this spot for date nights and catching up with friends. If you swing by on a weekend, come prepared with a resy. We've only had luck walking in on week nights. The crew here is absolutely wonderful and is welcoming and attentive. They are great at providing recommendations when we aren't sure what to get. The pasta dishes aren't bad, but the dishes that truly blow me away are the proteins/secondi. Every fish and meat dish I've tried here has been incredible. I also recently tried the zucchini flowers, which is one of my new favorites on the menu. Osteria Radisa is a must try next time you're in Cobble Hill. read more

I was hosted to an event here and WoW! i loved, loved, this restaurant. the space is so warm and inviting inside but the staff, wow, they went above and beyond to take care of our large group. We had a prefixed menu everything I ate was great, i want to come back and try more. Normally with big groups I find that the kitchen and staff are overwhelmed but it felt like they put they're all in each dish. Popped by for dinner on a Friday. Called ahead to led them know we were running a bit late, and when we arrived they had moved our reservation and put us outside. Fortunately, it wasn't too crowded and the host got us a table inside. The frito misto was amazing! Highly recommend, definitely some of the best calamari I've had in a while in terms of quality. Additionally the tagliatelle was also great, you can really taste the fresh handmade pasta. They also served it with some extra bolognese sauce which we used all of. The ravioli verde was disappointing, didn't really taste any of the chives and garlic scapes--kinda just gave green ravioli. And the baby onions were also okay, not amazing, but not bad. Was overall a good meal, but definitely didn't wow with all the dishes. read more

We had a fantastic time at the 4-day old Osteria Radisa. For being a new restaurant, they were pretty full and executed remarkably well. We got a cocktail, the braised greens, two pasta dishes, and the tiramisu for dessert. The drink was basically their version of a martini or a vesper and came with a sidecar. The braised greens almost reminded me of saag and was a good portion size. Our first pasta was recommended by our server (who we found out was also the owner!) which was cappellacci with beef cheek and mushrooms. I wish I had gotten a photo because this was one of the best dishes I've had in a longgggg long time. The sauce/broth was fantastic. The tagliatelle was served with a super traditional ragu which was definitely a comfort food. It could've used more olive oil, but lucky for us, they have bottles of oil at the table so we were able to top it off with more. The tiramisu was good enough that my full partner found it in him to still eat half lol. Service is on the slow side but it was a lovely evening and we enjoyed every bite. Wonderful new spot in Cobble Hill! This is an overdue review for Osteria Radisa which I've visited several times already. The restaurant is cozy-chic with modern touches for decor. I usually sit at the bar, but they have plenty of seating indoors and out. Staff are friendly with good personable service. The restaurant offers seasonal menu which provides great options of produce as the season change. Everything is fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Can't go wrong! (4/5) Osteria Radisa - 241 Smith St, Brooklyn I'll be honest with you--I don't remember most of this meal. Not because it was bad. Quite the opposite, actually. Based on the photographic evidence, the Spianata Sfogliata looked like a delicate edible flower in pastry form, and the Fritto Misto had that golden, "I-know-what-I'm-doing" crunch. My glass of Il Colombaio Vernaccia looked crisp, elegant, and entirely deserving of a second pour (which I may or may not have ordered--again, memory hazy). But what I do remember is this: The place felt like a soft sigh on a long day. Candlelit but not cliché, open-air and atmospheric without being fussy. A little corner of Brooklyn trying on its best Northern Italian accent--and mostly pulling it off. The bill was... Brooklyn-level. Not robbery, not a steal. Just enough to remind you you're dining somewhere with real olive oil and imported anchovies. Service was fine, maybe a little aloof, but this is NYC, not Naples. Even in a daze, Radisa leaves a pleasant imprint. I'd come back--next time with more sobriety and less mystery. read more

This is the best addition to Brooklyn this year! Probably even NYC! In a city of overwhelmingly trendy and overrated Italian restaurants, you will be so glad to have come here. Wine list is perfection. Cocktails? Perfection. Food?!? I have never eaten any Italian food like this before. The service is knowledgeable and warm. The owners are the best! Me: Native NYer who has eaten pretty much...everywhere. Starters Watercress salad (daily special) - 10/10. Refreshing, accurately dressed, and beautiful presentation. Steak tartare - 8.5/10. Texture-wise, not entirely what i'm used to with tartare as i'm used to the meat being small cubes vs. a near paste. The flavor was great and the figs were an unexpectedly nice touch. Fried platter - 9/10. Fried food without the guilt, at least in terms of taste. It was light and delicate. Wish there was a bit more seafood, but it was still a strong portion size and the shoestring squash fries were addicting. Sourdough Basket - 7.5/10. Wish there was a little more. The focaccia was the star. Pasta Tagliatelle - 10/10. This is what I want my pasta to be. Unfancy and delicious. Came with a side of extra ragu, all of which was eaten. Perfectly cooked noodle. Strozzapreti - 10/10. Perfectly cooked. The pasta was the perfect thickness with that pleasant chew, and the ragu was not heavy at all. Tagliolini - 10/10. Again, perfectly cooked. No overlapping flavors period. Such a treat. Had a fourth special that was a green pesto with seashells. Unique flavor and the color of the green was so vibrant. Strong 9/10. Steak - 10/10. Straightforward and unfancy plating of a perfectly cooked ribeye with baby potatoes. The marrow jus was a top-5 steak sauce i've ever had. Holy shit. Dessert - 7.5/10. Had to have dessert. The basque was good, the olive oil cake definitely needed the lemon to counteract the olive oil, and the fig gelato (special of the day) tasted more "figgy" than actual figs and didn't get much of the cream side. The best was the small donuts that were a complimentary dish. Could eat like 20 of those. Overall: 4.6/5 but no hesitation on giving them a 5 star because the venue is nice, the staff is on point, and there was no break in cadence. read more

In a neighborhood where the Italian fare is only outnumbered by dogs and strollers, this new restaurant provides a unique perspective. With rustic style - they're creating delicious dishes "a la Romangnola". We started with the Asparagus and the Squash Blossoms. The asparagus was prepared in a way I had never seen. In a cucumber milk gazpacho-like sauce with diced green tomato and granny smith apple. The dish was light and refreshing with a subtle savory flavor that left us wanting more. The blossoms were perfectly prepared and stuffed with sheep ricotta. Placed in a delicious sauce that complimented the blossoms, for a well balanced explosion of flavor. Oh! My cocktail! Close to being the star of the night. If not for being overshadowed by my main dish (more on that soon). I ordered the "Never For Money". The base was a coconut-washed ginebra gin mixed with, dry vermouth, pomelo, calamansi and basil. The first sip left me dazed and confused. In a good way! Then I proceeded to drink the rest of it way too fast. It was a mixture of sweet, mild spice and creamy citrus. Expertly designed. I want another! For my main course I had the Cappellacci. This was also a new form of pasta for me. Shaped like tiny pouches. Filled with beef cheek, served with brown beech mushrooms in a "fonduta di parmigiano". That's Italian for the-best-damn parmigiano! A welcomed addition to the neighborhood! We look forward to going back. One note on ambience would be the lighting and possibly the music. I feel the lighting was a bit on the dark side. Especially behind the bar and in the larger dining space. And the music, while it was just 80's and 90's classics (which I appreciate) I feel a more Italian or euro vibe would add to the overall feel and experience of being transported to the Romagna region of Italy. Well? I am not as enthused about Osteria Radisa as the yelp* community. I Popped in one evening and I grabbed a bar stool. The space is very handsome, and the crowd very hip. I began with Squash Blossoms. They were tasty and refreshing. My Pasta course was another story. The Chef took Pasta, Clams, Mussels and Shrimp and then pureed everything and placed it in a bowl. This was a mistake. Wines by the glass were expensive and bad. My bill was $96. I am leaving a generous four star review, but have no plans to return. read more

This place is overhyped for absolutely no reason. Dined here a few months back and don't quite remember what I had (that just tells you how "impressed" i was with my meal) but i do remember them serving TORTILLAS with my app instead of bread. Im sorry tortillas don't belong in an Italian restaurant. I also remember the bill being WAY too high for the very small amount of food. Nothing was bad, but absolutely nothing blew me away. Much better Italian restaurants (including the amazing Barbalu) in the hood. Would definitely not return and would not really recommend to anyone. read more
