If I could zero stars, I would. The worst service ever. First time I visited, our order was lost and we waited over 1.5 hours for food. The second time, I thought it would be smarter for me to order for pickup via UberEATS....wrong! My order was extended an extra 30 minutes. Upon saying the order was ready, I arrive and am told the order needs an additional 10 minutes. They blamed the timing due to Uber, meanwhile, the restaurant only had two tables they were serving and my two item (avocado-tomato toast and burrito bowl) order took over an hour. On top of their terrible wait time, the order was completed wrong and missing parts (ordered avocado toast with tomatoes and tomatoes were missing). I ordered 16oz OJ and 8oz was given. Very mediocre and overpriced food. Save your TIME and money and eat somewhere else. My response to management's response: I physically showed your employee my UberEats application showing that my "order was ready for pickup" and she argued with that my app was false. I did not have a bad attitude. I was frustrated that it was the third time your service was poor and unprofessional. But that was my fault, I should have never returned. Breakfast here is one of the best in the area.. I initially started coming here for the tiny tres leches cups to fill my cake addiction. Then after visiting over a couple of months I finally decided to give the food a try.. The staff are amazing and all very friendly and welcoming. They have free internet , seating outside etc. First: I tried the Magda's combo a few times and for $7.99 and it is a lil expensive for what u get especially because I don't really need French toast and 2 slices of French roll bread , but living here in Miami bread some type of bread with every meal is a large part of the Cuban culture here. Then: I tried the French toast a couple of times for 8.49 and I really love the French toast here... it's so soft and fluffy prepared nice and fresh with a side of maple syrup. It's THE BOMB ! Next: would be the bacon egg and cheese croissant for $4.99 and absolutely the best bargain out of everything. The croissants are made fresh daily and are delicious. I have this just about every morning made fresh and hot. Next: would be the breakfast Burrito for $7.49 which is just so so and doesn't look as good as it does in the photo that they have on the window.. but it's okay ! Didn't have rice or salsa like the photo, just bacon, Egg, and cheese. Next: Are the Frappillino's ( Frappuccino )for $3.49 which are a good deal but mostly seemed like I was drinking air. Would have been nice to get a full drink out of it.. That's probably why they are so cheap. Hardly any Frappuccino just a tiny bit, and fluffed enough to make it look like a full cup. With tons of whip cream to fill the rest off the cup. Lol Also, don't like the coffee here either so I usually buy my coffee elsewhere. Morning staff and cooks are better than afternoon cooks by far. Other than that, I do like coming here in the Mornings. It's across the street from where I live. Compared to other places in the area that serve the same quality of food the prices are very reasonably priced. This place is terrible. It is consistently filthy and littered with old food and trash outside. Inside you can find stacks of dirty plates on the counter, and some of the most terrible service you can imagine which goes perfect with the mediocre food. My friend and I order two breakfasts. My salmon came first without the side of eggs which eventually showed up 5 minutes later followed by my friends burrito 10 minutes after that. It's one of those places I have gone to often because it was convenient location-wise, but now I have finally realized I need to stop paying for consistently terrible service and mediocre food. I imagine it only stays afloat because of the unwitting red-faced tourists that seem to primarily be its clientele. Good luck trying to get your food in under an hour if there are more than two orders, and even placing the food order to begin with is usually a feat in an of itself, as you often have to yell towards the back flag someone down to help you. Due to COVID, I've been trying to help small businesses in anyway I can and this is one of the places I frequented often because the owner is sweet and a great lady. However, over the last year, the service has gotten worse and worse and today, knowing this, I called ahead requesting my usual coffee and breakfast sandwich and was told it would take 10 minutes. After arriving there 15 minutes after the call, I had to wait another 20 min for my food to be ready (so 35 min total) and then I found this...right on the top of my sandwich was multiple hairs intertwined with my egg. I was disgusted, disappointed, and now I don't think I'll be coming back. Cafe Papillon deserves zero stars ! This morning as my family and I were walking to bayside we were looking for a place to have breakfast. So we made the big mistake to stop at this place. My husband had the omelette baguette sandwich, decent but nothing great. And I had the Martha's breakfast which had 2 scrambled eggs, 2 pieces of bacon, baguette but I changed it for a croissant and 2 waffles. I also ordered a fresh orange juice and a caramel frap or whatever they call it. Ok, so first of all the eggs were watery, zero salt but edible, as a person that eats bacon regularly I could tell their bacon was microwaved. The croissant came in 10 min later and it was ok, and here is the saddest and most disappointing part. They served 2 FROZEN MICROWAVED WAFFLES!!!! The eggo or whatever kind you get at publix. Soggy and freezing cold. So I asked the girl to please give me at least a warm fake waffle, and she comes back 2 minutes later with the same ones but burning hot and basically wet and soggy. That's when we just have up and left. So $32 for this mess. So disappointed and actually offended at my microwaved waffles LOL! read more

Great food! Pricey for what you're getting, but it's Miami. I've had breakfast here on 3-4 occasions. Everything is very good. On one occasion, around February 2016, I ordered cold (specifically) chocolate milk but received lukewarm chocolate milk. When I asked to have it replaced with cold chocolate milk, the girl at the counter said she would put it in the freezer for a little while for me. I assumed she accidentally made hot chocolate and tried to cool it and asked if she could just make me a new chocolate milk. She was very confused and explained that she used the hot chocolate machine (purposefully) to make the drink and then freezed it to cool it down. Nope. Tried to give them the benefit of the doubt despite a couple of bad reviews. Thought we would try takeout. No pickup on the phone. Oh well I'll go see if they are open and order in person. We got the Belgian waffle with Nutella, fruit bowl, omelette sandwich, bacon, toast, and a combo with toast eggs and home fries. Coffee and OJ as well. Waited about 10 minutes and saw things coming out! This isn't bad! But wait, it's just the fruit bowl and drinks. And they didn't get all the drinks. 20-30 minutes later the rest of the food came out. Still trying to give benefit of the doubt, I figure I'll try it and as long as the food is good leave a review about how great the food is. Unfortunately it was average. And not piping hot. Bacon tasted like it was cooked at 4am and sat under a hot lamp for 5 hours. Home fries gummy. Waffle completely flaccid. Now I'm confused about why we've been there so long waiting. This is a great little coffee shop right across Bayside Marketplace and Miami Dade Wolfson campus. They serve breakfast and lunch and have some outside seating and inside seating as well. I ordered the Papillon breakfast wrap and their Turkish coffee to go. The food was delicious and still warm when I ate it at my job. The service is pretty quick since I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. This is a great place to stop by if you want to grab breakfast or lunch near your job. The parking they have available is only street parking but there are usually spots available right in front of the metro mover.
