I had higher expectations for this spot... I have had some great Israeli food, especially in NYC and the Broward area of South Florida. I ordered the lunch special - one protein with two sides, and it comes with a soup and coffee. -I never got my soup. -I don't drink coffee, so I asked if tea was possible in which the waitress was not sure, but because the soup wasn't ready, she'd ask if they could make an exception. They did, thank goodness. -I got schnitzel with a side of roasted cauliflower and a side of eggplant and red pepper. -The schnitzel lacked flavor, was not crispy and the breading slid/fell off. -The sides were cold. I really wish it said that they were cold side dishes as I wanted a warm and comforting dish. -I also ordered a borek. Not crispy and flaky at all as they should be, the entire bottom was wet and soft from the filling. -Poor ventilation and you leave smelling like food. Yuck. -When I got the bill, the waitress didn't tell me that the gratuity charge was already included. In which I almost gave her more of a tip, I think that they should disclose that 100%. It's kind of a trick not to and a lack of honesty doesn't gain you an extra tip. For $36, I am sure you can get better food, and Israeli food, elsewhere. read more

Terrific breakfast spot just around the corner from the Holiday Inn and many other hotels. Skip the hotel restaurant and head here for better coffee, freshly baked pastries and made to order breakfast dishes that include eggs, potatoes, and sausages. That's what I did every morning I stayed at the Holiday Inn and it improved my stay a lot! It's also a pleasant place to sit and eat. They have plenty of tables and the interior is nicely maintained. Came to Bobe's while in town visiting for an early breakfast. The service was welcoming and good. The decor is well put together, very pink! It's quite a big place too, deceptively so when looking at it from outside. I ordered the Smoked Salmon Bagel, which was good. It not like a NYC Lox, though, it's a little more plain, but the bagel was very good. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. My wife ordered the Morning Melt sandwich, which was solid, but maybe a little under-seasoned for her liking. The star of the show was the Pistachio Cappuccino. Phenomenal! Bobe is such such a cute little bakery. We came here for breakfast. We started with the matcha and golden latte. My husband had the Shakshuka which he enjoyed. I had the PLT, that's pastrami instead of bacon since this is an Israeli kitchen, With a side of Israeli salad which was SO refreshing on a hot Miami day. Six months in and this place is a keeper. Think of it as an all day coffee, bakery, diner with comfortable seats, delicious sandwiches, and homey and friendly service. The kitchen combines Argentinian Jewish Israeli recipes and fusion comfort food - breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner. I had incredibly high hopes for this place. I came twice - once in the morning and once in the PM to pick up a Too Good to Go bag. when we came in the morning, it wasn't very busy. you basically pick a table you'd like to dine at & they will bring you over a menu and take your order. I ordered the french toast as that will always be my go to order for just about anywhere. my friend ordered the roast beef sandwich which apparently wasn't very good? but the bread was good. the french toast was delicious! it was perfectly topped with fruit and nutella drizzled all over it. I was sorely disappointed on the second toast as it wasn't fully cooked. our server offered to either replace it, but I was full at the time and wasn't going to eat another order of french toast. I also had the pistachio matcha latte which was good, but you didn't get a hint of pistachio unless you eat the pistachios on the rim. but good either way. she gave us both a discount on our meal of 20%. their pastries I received from Too Good to Go wasn't bad. deliciously baked & totally worth it. read more

I came by last night to celebrate a friend's birthday after seeing the birthday package and the 50% off pizzas from 3-6pm advertised. The moment I walked in, things went downhill. We sat at a table and waited around 10 minutes with zero acknowledgement from anyone. No greeting, no menu, nothing. It was clear no one was planning to take our order. I finally walked over to the cashier to order the 50% off pizzas and the birthday pastry, and he looked at me like he had no idea what I was talking about. He claimed the manager "must have taken it down because pizza was being given away." Seriously? Then he also said he didn't know anything about the birthday package either. I showed the photos as proof--still nothing. I've been here before for breakfast, and the daytime service is way better. But the night team? Completely unorganized and uninterested in providing even basic customer service. To make it worse, they seemed more focused on storing luggage for tourists than actually helping paying customers who were trying to eat. It was honestly unbelievable. I got the pistachio matcha latte with oat milk and it blew me away. Having had many bad experiences at other cafes where my matcha were either super chalky or tasteless, I didn't have any expectation for what I would be getting at Bobe. To my surprise, the drink was super creamy, smooth, and not too sweet. While the pistachio flavor was bold, it did not overpower the matcha. The two flavors worked very well together and balanced each other out. The only downside was that it was very pricey (about $10), but everything in Miami is expensive. Ambiance wise, the restaurant itself is super cute and cozy with a lot of unique decors. I'd love to come back to try out their pastries and other drinks! read more

I had to add hot sauce to eat it. It also had a black/gray colored sauce?? It looked unappetizing and the cortado that I asked for w caramel syrup had at least four pumps of syrup. I actually think it was just a splash of milk and syrup inside it. I had to throw it away as two sips gave me a headache. Total was $28 an absolute scam. I saw this bakery on yelp and I must say it is exactly how it is posted online. I absolutely loved this place, staff were kind and friendly. Food seemed fresh with a great homely vibe. I ate here twice within my stay in Miami. It is a sit down wherever you like restaurant, with inside or outside seating. The décor is a cute all pink grandma kitchen type of set up. I love that they have a kitchen playset for the kids to be entertained in the back corner. we ordered: -Fresh Orange Juice 10/10- sweet, fresh and yummy -Jerusalem Morning Melt - 10/10 the first order of this sandwich was on a bagel and second was on focaccia bread. I personally prefer the bagel, but both were very yummy. -Avo Toast - 9/10 yummy, perfect for a light breakfast -Filled Croissant (Pistachio) 10/10 not too sweet, but enough to enjoy without having that guilt trip. Perfect crunch to the pastry. -Croissant with turkey- 10/10 my son ate almost the whole pastry which is a really decent size. We did not receive the bill the first time and we were sort of in a rush to leave for our cruise we met at the front desk to pay. All in all it came to $97.. I paid with $120 for bill and tip. My son then decided he wanted a cookie to go. So the gentleman behind the counter did not let us pay for it which I thought was so kind. I enjoyed this place so much that I wanted to visit this place one last time before heading home. I ordered the same exact meal just different bread. My son got to enjoy the kitchen playset while I enjoyed my meal. As checking out I realized they charge gratuity included in the bill regardless of party size and give an option for extra tip. It's hard to read because they do not print out to review and it is on a small machine. I am a little disappointed for them not to make people aware of the automatic gratuity, hence why I gave 3 stars instead of 5. So I basically gave the waitress about a $40 tip the first time (approx. 60% tip)and basically paid for the pastry given to my son. We found this place through Bounce, the luggage storage app. We chose it because it's close to Bayside Marketplace, a major tourist spot, and we needed to store our bags for the day. What a great find. When we came back to pick up our bags, we sat and had coffee and split a sandwich. The smoked turkey and pesto sandwich was SO good, and served on focaccia that was as soft as a pillow. Iced vanilla latte was delicious too. The decor is so cute, and the staff were all friendly. I'm always excited to experience new spots. Bobe is fairly new and I had seen it advertised on a few "best new places for breakfast/brunch", so I decided to come here for a Sunday brunch. The place itself is eye-catching and pretty instagramable. It's beautiful. I started with a flat white, a fresh squeezed OJ and an almond croissant. The coffee was weak in my opinion. On the other hand, the juice was truly fresh squeezed and it tasted so good and refreshing. As for the croissant, it was good enough, I enjoyed it My problem was with the main dishes, the avocado toast and the shakshouka. The avocado toast was made with some sort of blended avocado cream/spread. I wouldn't get an avocado toast, should I have known it was made with a spread instead of 100% avocado mashed. I love avocado toast and I have it pretty often when I go out for breakfast and brunches, so I have a good understanding of what a good one looks and tastes like. To top It off, the egg was overcooked, completely hard. For the shakshouka, I can say it is the worst one I have ever had. There was no effort behind this dish. It was made with cheap and acidic tomato sauce straight out of a can with the eggs on top. Usually, shakshouka is made of a tomato sauce cooked together with onions, red bell pepper, garlic, oregano, cumin, cinnamon (for Moroccan style), smoked paprika, feta cheese, etc. This dish was missing everything but the tomato sauce which was not balanced out for acidify. The only good thing was the bread that was provided to eat it with. Based on my experience, I would only recommend this place for a coffee and a pastry such as a croissant, but nothing else. Típ, don't seat inside, head to the outdoor patio seating. I noticed a lot of the kitchen smell and smoke make it to the indoors dining area and your clothing will stink afterwards for sure. read more

Stopped in for breakfast 2 days in a row before we leave on our cruise. 1st, they are the nicest people working there . Everything looks fresh and tasty , their pastry selection is great . Yesterday I got the shakshuka which is poached eggs in a tomato sauce . With fresh bread for dipping , I got it because it was so unconventional to the usual breakfast, and I also got a chocolate babka , the breakfast was good, different , fun to eat . Not sure if a bowl of spicy sauce is good 1st thing in the morning ? But it was tasty . The babka was so chocolaty , it was nice and warm , unrolled it like I cinnamon roll. Again fun to eat . My GF got the turkey sandwich on a croissant , it was very good . And the American coffee was very good and a bit strong . No complaints. It brings me no joy to leave a lower rating, especially for an Israeli restaurant where it's clear so much money, effort, and love were invested. The place itself is beautiful and I really wanted to love Bobe. But unfortunately, the service was so frustrating that it tainted the entire experience. From the moment we sat down, it felt like our server was doing us a favor by taking our order. There were so many miscommunications and mistakes that by the third one, we felt bad even sending it back. There was no warmth, no attentiveness, just an overall sense of indifference. The food itself was okay, but not enough to make up for the abysmal service. Luckily we had a 2/1 BOGO lunch deal and made our lunch that much better. My chicken was a bit on the dry side but nothing a lime couldn't fix. My co-worker's kebab was well cooked but a bit cold. I'm sorry to say that this place was really disappointing. I had very high hopes that it would deliver on authentic Israeli cuisine, but it fell short by a long shot. Before I get into the details, I do want to acknowledge that the restaurant did try to remedy the concerns I raised, which I appreciated. Also, the drinks and pastries weren't bad, which is worth mentioning. What being said, while the place is extremely cute, the fabric chairs and couches were visibly dirty, with dark stains that made sitting down feel uncomfortable. It's hard to relax and enjoy a meal when the furniture feels neglected. Regarding the drinks, the pistachio matcha latte didn't taste like pistachio at all. The matcha itself was good, but the only pistachio element was the crushed nuts on the rim of the cup. That's not enough to call it a pistachio drink. Then there was the Jerusalem bagel, which was far from what a real Jerusalem bagel should taste or look like. The version shown on the Bobe website looks completely different from what I was served. I felt completely duped. The one I got tasted more like a basic grocery store roll. The sabich sandwich was also far from authentic. It was served on Italian focaccia, which had already fallen apart by the time it got to the table. Not only is focaccia the wrong type of bread for sabich (which is traditionally served on pita), but it also couldn't support the fillings at all. When I asked for it to be remade, the waitress said the sandwich was "wet," which is why the bread collapsed. But as an Israeli restaurant, it's your responsibility to not only choose culturally appropriate bread, but also ensure it can actually hold the sandwich. Isn't that basic cooking 101? They did remake the sandwich for me on challah, which held up much better and was actually enjoyable. If there's one thing the restaurant should take away from this, it's to rethink the bread choice for the sabich. As a restaurant that claims to serve authentic Israeli cuisine, there was surprisingly little that felt truly authentic. From the mismatched ingredients to the execution, it all felt more like a facade of authenticity rather than the real thing. If you're going to brand yourself as an authentic Israeli spot, the basics, like the right bread for a sabich or an accurate Jerusalem bagel, shouldn't be up for compromise. read more

This place has fun decor but the food isn't worth eating. I think they're more focused on being instagrammable. We ordered coffee and pastries at the counter. The pastries were in the glass case, but it took 30 minutes and us nagging them to get the pastries (which, again, were just sitting there). The croissant was not fully baked, so I couldn't eat much of it--raw dough inside. The lattes were just ok. Breezeblock is two doors down with MUCH better coffee. There's also an additional charge if you want to sit down to eat the pastry rather than do carryout; that wasn't communicated but just silently added to the charge. read more
