We came for Sunday brunch and there were luckily still some tables left. The ambiance is like your typical cafe and suited more for 2-4 people rather than a large group. You seat yourself and order at the counter. I couldn't really tell if it was self-bus or not since there were no signs but there was a cart with bins. Vietnamese Opla 4/5 It's a decent portion and good variety of food for the price. The meatballs were tender and the tomatoes were flavorful. The potatoes were cooked well and there was a heap of pate for the dish. I'm knocking off some points since the meats and carrots were a bit bland. I was expected pickled carrots since they're common in Vietnamese cuisines. Overall, I would be willing to come back another time to try other dishes since it feels like a unique restaurant but the food wasn't something I'd be raving about.

Cafe Opla was a pleasant surprise for me! For a restaurant by the pier, I thought it might be overhyped, but the food and drinks were really good! I love the twist on a classic Vietnamese dish and how they offer different types of oplas inspired by different countries. We also got their Vietnamese inspired drink flight and it was a true hit. Every drink was so unique and not like any other Vietnamese inspired drink I've had before. They were all good and I'd definitely get it again. The restaurant was surprisingly smaller than I expected, as it's located as a cafe within the entrance of the building, but they do have some outdoor seating. Since it's also a location right on the pier, it gets pretty busy with a line almost out the door, but the line moves pretty quickly and they do their best to serve the food as quick as possible. Tables are first come first serve, so be on the lookout once you arrive! The prices are a tad on the pricier side, but I expected that given it's in a touristy area. If you're looking for a nice meal while exploring the pier, would definitely recommend giving cafe opla a try!

While in Seattle we went here for lunch the day before our Alaskan Cruise. Its conveniently located right outside the front enterance of the Marriott Hotel we stayed at. I had Bahn Mi sandwich. It was very good. Good place to go for a quick bite.

The entire time I was in the restaurant I had to remind myself we were by the waterfront which is why everything was so expensive... but for the very high prices I was expecting something a little more than what I received. The flavors in the opla are good. My group got the Philippines and Vietnam opla to share. I think you can't really go wrong with longanisa and tocino with fried eggs and a baguette. The meatball, pate, and lemongrass pork in the Vietnam were flavored really well. Wish both had more sauce to dip with and a bigger baguette. The baguette that came with the opla was so small we had to order more. The $25 price tag was very steep to me, considering the dish itself. I have had a lot better skillet dishes in other places that were cheaper. We also got the pho fries to share. It was $17 and the portion was tiny. The only thing that made it "pho" was the meatballs and the hoisin sauce they put on top. There was something about it overall that I did not really enjoy, but my boyfriend thought it was fine. I like that they had different kinds of opla but being so expensive, I don't think it's worth. Maybe if you're in the area but there's better Vietnamese food in Seattle.

We flew into Seattle today. When our hotel room wasn't ready we walked across the street, actually across the parking lot, to Cafe Opla for lunch. I knew immediately that I wanted a Bahn Mi sandwich. 0rder at the counter & they then bring the food to your table. The sandwich was so good! The bread was toasted perfectly. The chicken was tender & plentiful, and the toppings were fresh. It was a nice size which I wasn't able to finish. Snack for later tonight. The restaurant is small so I see where it could get crowded at times, though not on our visit. Service was friendly & fairly quick. Good start to our overnight stay in Seattle. 2025-30

Went here on Saturday for a brunch. The parking was a bit tricky bc I parked in the public parking and walked down along the pier. I ordered Vietnamese Opla with Xiu Mai, my bf ordered Gochujang Breakfast Sandwich. I liked mine but wish the meatball had a bit more seasonings and a bit more sauce to dip the bread to. My bf loved his, he claimed it was "best sandwich he has ever had" We will come back for sure :)

Drinks came out pretty quickly. Food takes a bit longer of a wait time. 10-20 minutes ish. The place is pretty quiet, especially for a late monday morning. Food is very good. It sticks pretty close to traditional flavors and seasonings for the meat. Side veggies are nice for a refreshing brunch.

In a touristy area near cruise ship boarding. Got a tea, it was alright. Service was as quick as it could be, but it was pretty crowded. Only recommend if you need a quick drink before boarding a cruise at Pier 66.

I'm giving this place bonus points for creative dishes. I really like the concept of these fusion skillets, but the food itself is nothing too crazy. My friend and I shared the Tofu Skillet and the Tofu Bahn Mi. My other friends shared the Vietnam Skillet and a Pork Bahn Mi. Everything still tasted good, but I have defiantly had better Bahn Mi before. There wasn't much flavor to the lemongrass tofu, but the texture was really good. The vibes inside were simple and cozy. It's good for a quick bite/catch up. They were also very quick to bring out our food and drinks. I ordered a warm matcha which was very good. My friends ordered a coffee with a sweet egg cream on top which was delicious. I would come back for the drinks.

The skillet was good! I appreciated that it could be made vegan too upon request. The drinks however are very very limited if you have a dairy allergy. My partner enjoyed his sandwich and drink. The service was ok. This spot is in kind of an unexpected little area but is near the cruise terminal and waterfront.

The Vietnamese opla was okay, toppings were abundant! But the tofu skillet was too dry - needed more sauce for dipping! The egg coffee was sweet, so beware coffee purists! Service was so-so, needs improvement. My avocado opla was unavailable, and they offered no alternatives until I checked the menu again - all while standing 1st in line and kept other people waiting. One egg coffee arrived late when we were almost finished.

This place was one of our first searches for breakfast food and I see why! Fyi, this place is poppin' so expect a long line/long wait! This place is right across from the Cruise port, so all the people from the cruise came to this spot! Despite the hustlin' and busyness, customer service was great! I got the Viet bowl and Viet coffee. Love the coffee! Bowl was average. I recommend if you have not tried this place already.

I live about an hour from downtown Seattle and was meeting friends at a different popular well known Asian breakfast spot. We thought 10am would be early enough at the original spot, show up to about 20 people ahead of us and after 20 minutes of waiting (and hungry at this point) with no movement we settled on trying Cafe Opla (we wanted to go somewhere with unique brunch dishes, not your average, pancake, bacon, eggs place). We got there around 11am on a Sunday with only 2 other parties in the restaurant. This restaurant is casual, walk up counter to order and then food is brought to table. The menu is quite extensive, with their signature dish was the Oplas "Modern twist on Vietnamese breakfast" which is breakfast in a skillet. I was sharing /splitting with my friend and settled on the Hawaiian Opla and Gochujang Honey Breakfast Sandwich. The Hawaii Opla (spam, pulled pork, cucumbers, mac salad and rice) was delish, although it looked bigger in pictures. The skillet is probably 7 inches in diameter. The Gochujang sandwich was alright, it was honey forward and I couldn't really taste the Gochujang sauce. I also ordered the Iced Ube Vietnamese coffee, but other friend got this warmed and it looked a lot prettier with the design on top. I did find it a little pricey, but hey eating out is expensive these days. If you're in area looking for someplace quick, easy, yummy, unique dishes then I would recommend Cafe Opla.

My friend and I both ordered the Cafe Hawaii and chai tea lattes. While I personally thought the latte was a little weak, my friend really enjoyed hers so I can't really speak on the quality there. The regular Opla Hawaii was cooked really well--the eggs were crispy and delicious, and the yolk was cooked so perfectly. Not too runny and not too firm. I'm from Hawaii so I wasn't blown away by the Spam (speaking moreso b/c Spam is common), but it had a nice crisp on the outside. The pulled pork was super-saturated with flavor. I don't know much about bbq but the pork was flavorful, maybe a little TOO overpowering. Nonetheless, it was still tender and delicious. Meal came with a fresh (?) mini-loaf of baguette bread. Not positive if its baked in-house but it was so, so perfect. Crispy outside and warm, fluffy inside. Overall, loved the fact that the cafe overlooks the waterfront. Bummed that they only had complimentary chimichurri or satay sauce that day, but the chimi is excellent. Hope to come here again some day! read more

This place is worth a visit for the traditional bahn mi bread by itself. I had the small avocado, tomato and egg plate, which was a good value, at $5.50. It was not anything special, and I will try the parmesan and rosemary and thyme option if I ever go back. The Stumptown coffee cappuccino was out of this world. The Cafe's convenience to the Marriott and the conference center is great and the service was friendly. read more

We ordered the Bagelwich, Crab Bake, and Avocado breakfast sandwich. Prices were quite high, even though the serving size was quite small. As such, one would assume that the taste would be very good. However, there was not the case. Eggs on the sandwiches were bland, crab bake didn't have much flavor (and the bread came ten minutes after the dishes were served). Overall not impressed. read more

What a wonderful dining concept. A couple of meats, a couple of eggs, veggies and a sauce each of a different ethnicity. My gf had the Korean Opla and I had the Hawaiian, both were delicious. I also had a Vietnamese iced coffee which was perfectly refreshing. Friendly service and fair pricing. read more

Came in with my husband and kids. We ordered the Opla Vietnam and Opla Chinese. They were delicious and perfectly seasoned! My kids are picky eaters, but they loved the meatballs. The baguette was perfect for dipping into the eggs. This is a really creative way to serve eggs. We will definitely come back to try the other Oplas. Both the cashier and owner were nice and friendly. Parking was easy to find. We paid for street parking but there are free 20 minutes parking available in front of the restaurant. read more

Love it! I had the Opla Korea and everything was perfectly marinated and seasoned. Came with 4 choices of sauce; I got the sweet chimi sauce and it was SOO good! Each opla order comes with a yummy, warm-crispy mini baguette; the only thing I would add is an option to have white rice.. The staff was super friendly, from cashier to owner. Would definitely recommend and I'm excited to come back to try all the other Opla dishes! read more

Worst breakfast ever! Do not be deceived by the pictures! I was served a burnt egg, a few slices of half rotten avocado and some diced up tomatoes for $9. The only thing that was half edible was the small baguette served on the side. Not sure how they get away with such pathetic quality. Definitely a tourist trap. read more

A nice restaurant with ethnic skillets. I tried the Korean and it was nicely done with one korean kalbi type rib with two eggs, kimchee and some tofu. Nicely flavored and the eggs were appropriately sunny side up. The Stumptown Coffee Holler Blend was also great. They do charge for refills though. Overall a nice place for breakfast with Wifi. Clean and friendly. read more

I ordered a grilled banh mi (Vietnamese sandwich) and added an egg. The flavoring of the chicken was absolutely delicious, adding the egg was such a good idea, it basically gave me that 'cherry on top' feeling. The baguette was fresh and crispy. It had a crunch to every bite! Price is very reasonable too, and on weekends you can park on the side of the cafe! So that's always a plus. I would definitely come back again. read more

While strolling along the pier on our vacation, we stopped by Cafe Opla to grab a quick bite. I had the Opla Vietnam, and man was it tasty! Reminded me of the opla I had in Saigon, so yummmyyyy. Definitely a go to place if you're in the area! read more

I do not recommend this place. The man at the cashier was not listening and was extremely forgetful. After mentioning 3 times that we didn't get our coffee and bacon, it still did not make it out to the table. The order was incorrect, portions were much smaller than pictured, and the customer service was lacking. read more

I am almost 100% sure all these good reviews are fake, and that's how we got deceived! Food portions are rediculously small, with a mediocre quality, definitely not what you see in the pictures. Took them 15 minutes to add couple of chairs to a table, poor customer care. read more

Amazing brunch place! The meatballs are to die for. The regular op la is plenty but I'd recommend getting an extra baguette and the pate. Everything was delicious. I particularly enjoy the Vietnamese with the grilled pork . Haven't tried their vietnamese coffee yet but will do next time. So good I've been there twice in 2 weeks lmao... read more

bf &i came here for some breakfast, &we loved it. he had the viet opla, &i had the korean. the flavors were all really good, and the portions definitely made us full (we had the regular sizes). the little baguettes were really good too, but one wasn't proportionate to the plate (but no biggie). the workers were also really nice and checked up on us a lot. the viet coffee was also good, and they even had the little brewer served with it too, which was pretty cool. read more

It's nothing great. I liked the concept of it but didn't find very tasty. I had the one with avacado. It was pretty much eggs, avacado and tomatoes. Also the portions are small and cheaper. The bread was pretty fresh from the oven and delicious. My friend ordered the one with rosemary. That was better than mine. I won't visit again. read more

We walked in and neither barista even acknowledged us. I said hello and got a quiet one back from one of them.and we basically ordered in silence from.the cashier. She maybe said three words to us. Maybe its because we are from.out of town but I expected some conversation between me and baristas or waiters. The food was good it just jad a very uncomfortable and unwelcoming atmosphere. read more

Extremely slow service and the order was just for a Banh Mi (Vietnamese sandwich). The place was not even crowded. Anyway else would less than 5 minutes to have a Banh Mi made. Not recommended if you are in a hurry. The Banh Mi is actually was not bad at all. The place was clean and friendly service. read more

Amazing! Perfect breakfast place to get your egg & protein fix, with the fluffiest and crunchiest french baguettes ever! Came here twice in the 4 days we stayed in Seattle and ordered the Opla Vietnam... twice. Their grilled pork and meatballs are on the sweeter side, but the pickled veggies cuts the sweetness down and balances it out. Also, their vietnamese coffee is so strong and amazing. Definitely punches you awake! All in all a great place for egg skillets, Vietnamese sandwiches (especially because of their bread!!!), and vietnamese coffee. Will be back again and maybe venture out to trying something else... read more

Need a new instagram picture, look no further. The coffee and food is prepared to not only taste delicious but too look amazing as well. I would recommend getting a regular opla size if you are on the hungrier side. The Cafe is a little more secluded compared to some other ones in the area which creates a great environment to dig in and engage in small talk. read more

Look no further than Anchorhead Coffee. They've been around since 2013 and I've always enjoyed their coffee and the ambiance in their cafes. Today, I stopped by their Pike Place Market location and also got friendly service. I tried their seasonal Salted Brown Butter Caramel Latte. Their caramel is made in house. I got my drink hot and it was delicious with the melted caramel. I was pleased that this drink was not too sweet compared to most flavored drinks in other cafes. The location of this cafe is a little off the beaten track, which means it may typically get less foot traffic compared to other cafes in the heart of the market that often has long lines. It was delicious and you can taste the flavors of the cereal. I'm not a matcha fan, but the flavors from the blueberry paired nicely with the matcha. I would definitely recommend this as well. The dining area and bathrooms were clean, wifi was good, and the staff was nice. This place checks all the boxes for a welcoming coffee stop.

I recently visited opla and had a generally enjoyable experience. The food and drinks were delicious, and the quality was impressive. The oplas are a bit overpriced, but the norm for the waterfront. The two girls serving us were exceptionally friendly, making us feel welcome and well-attended. However, it was clear that the restaurant was quite understaffed, which led to delays in service. I've been somewhat a regular at opla, however, the lack of staff on a HOLIDAY and even during the summer is unacceptable. Overall, the managers need to start caring for their staff and wellbeing. If the service matched the quality of the food, this place would be an amazing brunch spot! read more

One of those rare new places that have it together within their first few weeks of opening! Tried the Hawaiian and Japanese Opla and it was just the perfect meal to have on a Sunday afternoon.
