Dropping our mom and her bestie on the cruise so grabbed a quick breakfast. Enjoyed a latte and avocado toast...both were delicious. Hubby had a breakfast sandwich and said it was good but "lots of bread".

Delicious food and good drinks. Kids loved the waffle stack (3 waffles), crunchy outside, soft inside, sweet but not too sweet. We enjoyed bacon egg cheese sandwich. The bread in particular was great! Eggs were light and fluffy. Thick bacon. I also had iced Vietnamese coffee, which was good. I drink a lot of Vietnamese coffee and this one was good but not as strong as a lot of them.

Cafe Opla is a great, little cafe right inside the World Trade Center Building in Seattle. I came in for coffee but was pleasantly surprised with their menu. Opla is a Vietnamese word derived from the French term for fried egg, "Oeufs au Plats". It's a walk up and order style of cafe. Plenty of seats for their size but I sure they fill up pretty quick. We popped in early and didn't have an issue. We went with the Opla Philippines - pork sausage, tocino, onion & cucumber vinaigrette, tomatoes, fried garlic, cilantro, served in a skillet; and the Avocado Sandwich - french bread, avocado spread, scrambled eggs, and tomatoes. Both great options for breakfast! I'll definitely be back the next time I'm visiting Seattle.

We came for Sunday brunch and there were luckily still some tables left. The ambiance is like your typical cafe and suited more for 2-4 people rather than a large group. You seat yourself and order at the counter. I couldn't really tell if it was self-bus or not since there were no signs but there was a cart with bins. Vietnamese Opla 4/5 It's a decent portion and good variety of food for the price. The meatballs were tender and the tomatoes were flavorful. The potatoes were cooked well and there was a heap of pate for the dish. I'm knocking off some points since the meats and carrots were a bit bland. I was expected pickled carrots since they're common in Vietnamese cuisines. Overall, I would be willing to come back another time to try other dishes since it feels like a unique restaurant but the food wasn't something I'd be raving about.

Food was delicious. Ordered the Vietnam and the gochujang honey sandwich. The sandwich was not spicy at all infact it's on the sweeter side. Service was good. The girls were pleasant. You order your food at the counter then sit down and it's brought to you. Definitely would come back . Parking was a bit of a pain. We parked on the street

Cafe Opla was a pleasant surprise for me! For a restaurant by the pier, I thought it might be overhyped, but the food and drinks were really good! I love the twist on a classic Vietnamese dish and how they offer different types of oplas inspired by different countries. We also got their Vietnamese inspired drink flight and it was a true hit. Every drink was so unique and not like any other Vietnamese inspired drink I've had before. They were all good and I'd definitely get it again. The restaurant was surprisingly smaller than I expected, as it's located as a cafe within the entrance of the building, but they do have some outdoor seating. Since it's also a location right on the pier, it gets pretty busy with a line almost out the door, but the line moves pretty quickly and they do their best to serve the food as quick as possible. Tables are first come first serve, so be on the lookout once you arrive! The prices are a tad on the pricier side, but I expected that given it's in a touristy area. If you're looking for a nice meal while exploring the pier, would definitely recommend giving cafe opla a try!

While in Seattle we went here for lunch the day before our Alaskan Cruise. Its conveniently located right outside the front enterance of the Marriott Hotel we stayed at. I had Bahn Mi sandwich. It was very good. Good place to go for a quick bite.

The entire time I was in the restaurant I had to remind myself we were by the waterfront which is why everything was so expensive... but for the very high prices I was expecting something a little more than what I received. The flavors in the opla are good. My group got the Philippines and Vietnam opla to share. I think you can't really go wrong with longanisa and tocino with fried eggs and a baguette. The meatball, pate, and lemongrass pork in the Vietnam were flavored really well. Wish both had more sauce to dip with and a bigger baguette. The baguette that came with the opla was so small we had to order more. The $25 price tag was very steep to me, considering the dish itself. I have had a lot better skillet dishes in other places that were cheaper. We also got the pho fries to share. It was $17 and the portion was tiny. The only thing that made it "pho" was the meatballs and the hoisin sauce they put on top. There was something about it overall that I did not really enjoy, but my boyfriend thought it was fine. I like that they had different kinds of opla but being so expensive, I don't think it's worth. Maybe if you're in the area but there's better Vietnamese food in Seattle.

We flew into Seattle today. When our hotel room wasn't ready we walked across the street, actually across the parking lot, to Cafe Opla for lunch. I knew immediately that I wanted a Bahn Mi sandwich. 0rder at the counter & they then bring the food to your table. The sandwich was so good! The bread was toasted perfectly. The chicken was tender & plentiful, and the toppings were fresh. It was a nice size which I wasn't able to finish. Snack for later tonight. The restaurant is small so I see where it could get crowded at times, though not on our visit. Service was friendly & fairly quick. Good start to our overnight stay in Seattle. 2025-30

Went here on Saturday for a brunch. The parking was a bit tricky bc I parked in the public parking and walked down along the pier. I ordered Vietnamese Opla with Xiu Mai, my bf ordered Gochujang Breakfast Sandwich. I liked mine but wish the meatball had a bit more seasonings and a bit more sauce to dip the bread to. My bf loved his, he claimed it was "best sandwich he has ever had" We will come back for sure :)

Drinks came out pretty quickly. Food takes a bit longer of a wait time. 10-20 minutes ish. The place is pretty quiet, especially for a late monday morning. Food is very good. It sticks pretty close to traditional flavors and seasonings for the meat. Side veggies are nice for a refreshing brunch.

In a touristy area near cruise ship boarding. Got a tea, it was alright. Service was as quick as it could be, but it was pretty crowded. Only recommend if you need a quick drink before boarding a cruise at Pier 66.

I'm giving this place bonus points for creative dishes. I really like the concept of these fusion skillets, but the food itself is nothing too crazy. My friend and I shared the Tofu Skillet and the Tofu Bahn Mi. My other friends shared the Vietnam Skillet and a Pork Bahn Mi. Everything still tasted good, but I have defiantly had better Bahn Mi before. There wasn't much flavor to the lemongrass tofu, but the texture was really good. The vibes inside were simple and cozy. It's good for a quick bite/catch up. They were also very quick to bring out our food and drinks. I ordered a warm matcha which was very good. My friends ordered a coffee with a sweet egg cream on top which was delicious. I would come back for the drinks.

The pork chop was tender, and went well with the homemade vinegar & garlic sauce. The long lumpia shanghai was GBD, and also went well with the sauce. The longanisa had a texture that reminded me of childhood, and the Ilocos sausage (that is less fatty), was a nice contrast. I have a trip booked in Oct to SEA, and I'm glad my hotel is very close to Ludi's.

Then we shared 4 dishes: sardine tartine, dal soup, an heirloom tomato and cucumber salad and the halibut entree. Literally everything was delicious. I lived the flavors of the dal soup--cumin, coriander, mustard seed. The tomatoes were super fresh on top of a creamy marscapone. They had an amazing selection of pastries, though I didn't try any. I got their Caramelized Banana Latte to satisfy my sweet tooth, and it wasn't too banana-flavored nor too sweet; the black sesame in it balanced it nicely. I also got the Urban Pesto, which was SO yum. I was little skeptical of the focaccia - sometimes I find it to be too puffy, and thus hard to eat the sandwich - but this had a lovely panini press on it that made it easy to eat. The in-house herby cheese in the sandwich made each bite just that much more delicious. The staff was also super nice and accommodating to my parents' requests and questions. It was quite busy which we anticipated, so I would highly recommend making a reservation. We were seated right away with our reservation time, but it did take some time to be served. I enjoyed the hot coffee with a bit of cream. It was good; my only comment is that I wasn't offered a refill at any point, and we were there for over an hour. To be fair, it was SUPER busy; like at least 100 people in the dining room. I had one of their seasonal specials, the peaches and cream Swedish pancakes. It was a generous portion included with a trip to the berry bar. The berry bar was very fresh and well maintained as far as cleanliness. It was also in a prime location, near the tables but not too close and not in the way of the walking path. The peaches were juicy and sweet and the cream cheese frosting was a decadent topping. I added some berries which made it extra special. I liked the caramel shards, but they were a little on the thick side for my liking and were a bit tough to eat. However, I really enjoyed the dish overall! I also got a side of peppered bacon which was well-cooked, crispy, and extra peppery. My friend got the classic French toast and a side of potatoes. She loved the French toast with the included berry bar trip! However, the potatoes were cut into HUGE pieces which were difficult to eat even though they were cooked through. I would definitely come back here! If you're looking for a popular brunch spot with delicious sweet brunch options, check on Portage Bay Cafe SLU!
