Forgot to take photos but LOVED the setup of this coffee shop and the ample parking. The atmosphere…read morewas quiet enough for me to take my work meetings without a glitch. The coffee was good and baristas were friendly. I could've stayed here working all day. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Dallas. I got an oat milk vanilla latte (not feeling adventurous) but when I go back, I'll try one of their other limited time drinks.

We got avocado toast. My husband got his with an egg; I had mine plain. He had an iced caramel latte, and I had a plain cappuccino because that's the best way for me to judge the espresso, besides ordering a straight shot. Food was okay. Did not blow me out of the water. It was decent enough to eat, but a tiny, tiny portion for the price. Somewhere around ten to eleven dollars per toast. One slice of bread, a little avocado, a couple of tomatoes, and balsamic vinegar. Was it tasty? Yes. Was it worth ten dollars? I don't think so. I bought a full sourdough loaf for ten dollars. I understand service costs and all that, but still. Coffee was actually very good, though. My cappuccino had fruity notes, very smooth. They have different roasts, which is nice. The cups and plates are really cute, and the space itself is charming. The lady working seemed very overwhelmed. The place was full, decently loud, line kept getting longer the whole time we were there. My husband didn't love his coffee, and he's usually not picky at all, so that says something. Overall, I wouldn't go out of my way to come back. But if I needed a place to sit and do some work and didn't need to be on the phone, I'd probably consider it. I just think there are better places out there. Honest opinion. P.S. My ratings are based on whether I believe I could make a better or healthier version at home. If food/drinks/service impress me, I'll be happy to come back. If not, the stars reflect that.

While the price is a little steep for breakfast fare, you get your money's worth…read more I ordered the southwestern omelette and my partner ordered the chicken fried steak. My omelette was immense and full of flavorful ingredients. The side of hash browns were perfectly cooked and seasoned, I don't think I've ever had better. My partner's chicken fried steak was much better than we expected. Firstly, it was massive, demanding its own plate. Secondly, it was covered in exceptional sausage gravy, which was a delight as chicken fried steak usually comes with bland cream gravy. The atmosphere was a little overwhelming for my taste, but I'm there to eat, not admire the walls. The service was great, fast and frequent enough for us.

I don't think they had much warning, but they did an impressive job getting orders out quickly and accurately, all with separate checks, no less! This spot is clearly more breakfast focused, so lunch is not really the star of the show, though they do have a handful of options. I was not in the mood for anything heavy, so after doing a little menu research ahead of time, I asked if I could order from the kids menu. Grilled cheese for me! I upgraded my fries to cheese curds for a small upcharge. I have definitely had better grilled cheeses in my life, but this was a perfectly fine, basic sandwich. What really stood out was the service. At our table of eight strangers, our server, Anaya, got every order exactly right, and food came flying out of the kitchen in about eight minutes. Nicely done by both the front and back of house. I definitely want to come back and try breakfast!

They bring in breakfast items from local small businesses - I love that they support the local economy. Even better right?? Well welcome to Parks Coffee! I've driven past this place so many times on PGBT that I googled them and saw they offered tours. So I immediately booked one and have to say it was well worth the cost. You get to see the behind the scenes and understand more about the process of making coffee. There is even a tour you can request in which you can roast your own bag (details on their website as it may change from when I post this). At the end of the tour you get to try a sampling of their single origin coffees that are paired with bite size pastries from a local bakery, La Casita, that were delicious! The pairings really brought out the notes in the coffee and even I felt like a coffee sommelier! Plus after the tour you get a discount at the coffee shop and it applies to their sweet shirts. Overall I highly recommend checking them out and taking the tour. Their coffees were great and the tour was enlightening.
