I can't believe it's my first time going to this coffee shop. We went on a Saturday morning at 9:30am and almost every chair was filled. It's a great spot to read, work, catch up and just vibe. You can hear a lot of little conversations. I would say the group is very mixed, you get families with their kids, adults doing their work on their laptops and just those who just want to grab a book a read. I got their Sunrise Miami Latte and it's SO GOOD! I was hesitant at first bc orange vanilla syrup sounded like it could have an artificial taste but it didn't! It was still a nice cup of coffee with a hint of orange and pretty sweeten. VERY impressive. Their garden matcha was okay, I would pass on it Would recommend 10/10 read more

Been coming here for years for beans and lattes, still doesn't disappoint. Every once in a while we have the breakfast tacos, or homemade granola and oat milk. The people are the best, so sweet! I'm totally digging Trio's seasonal drinks! My latest obsession? The Grinch. This drink is so good it could make the actual Grinch return all the presents and apologize for the inconvenience. Flavorwise, it's giving flavors of "Dubai chocolate," but instead it's tossed in with macadamia and matcha. Fancy, I know! And yes, I'm fully aware it's been a warmer fall in DFW, but I still order my drink hot and steamy like I'm preparing for a snowstorm. Overall experience is FIVE stars. When I last reviewed this location seven years ago, it had the Novel Coffee banner hanging over the entrance. At least, that is what Yelp was showing me. I rarely come here. When I do, it would be for takeout. Many times, the place would be packed without an empty seat. In the past two days, I ended up coming here twice. The second time was for dine-in. There were no insincere forced greetings when a customer enters the premises. From their friendly smiles, the employees appear to enjoy working here. Although not a regular by any means, the cashier recalled my name from the previous day. Both times, I ordered The Heatwave, a mocha latte with a hint of heat. Because the mug was filled to the brim, I dared not walk a great distance and decided to drink at the counter. On a misty, miserable morning, it was more enjoyable than a typical drip coffee. Also, something of a rarity at chain coffee shops, I actually observed an employee clean the toilets in the restrooms. read more

First time visit and it was a fast one. I didn't dine in today, I just needed some hot coffee, oh, and that lemon blueberry muffin staring at me in the counter was just begging to go on a trip with me. The staff was friendly when I entered. This is a smallish place, and it was very busy. All of the tables were occupied and there was barely a chair go be had. I expected to wait for a while with all of the patron, yet, to my surprise, the staff was on top of their game and I was in and out in about 8 minutes total. Very nice local shop, well deserving of a persons visit. The coffee was good, a bit strong for my taste, I had black coffee with no extras. Not overly done per se, just a stronger version and not a light blonde roast like I prefer. The lemon blueberry muffin, VERY good! The coffee is okay but the constant noise from the workers is hard to bear. They are constantly blabbing about tattoos, living in California and with the stream of friends who visit them at work and hang out. When noisy families show up on the weekends, the decibels can reach 85 easily. Finally, the tap water that's used to make the coffee contains PFAS chemicals that can cause cancer. read more

To work remotely from a coffee shop, I stopped by Novel Coffee Roasters for a morning coffee. In addition to roasting their own coffee beans, Novel also runs a surreal coffee shop. There are many seats available at the coffee shop, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I had to order the Lantern Latte, which is a pumpkin spice latte-like beverage, since the fall seasonal menu was available, and it was very delicious! I can't wait to visit Novel Coffee Roasters again and taste some of their other beverages. read more

Amazing coffee! The staff were very sweet and helpful. This is the first place I've been to offer sweetened and unsweetened almond milk, and let me tell you I was thrilled haha. The one complaint is that the only sf syrup they had was vanilla but I'm high maintenance. They even remade my drink when I had to take it to go! This is a cute spot with a good amount of seating indoor & outdoor. The staff are really friendly and they have a great menu with lots of specials. I got an iced coffee with light cream, and they put kind of a lot- I wasn't a huge fan of the coffee itself, it was kinda bitter yet also tasted kind of watery. There wasn't much good/strong coffee flavor but it wasn't bad. I'm kinda basic with my coffee choices so I probably would try the nitro cold brew instead next time! read more

Such a cute and quaint place to have coffee with friends in or outdoors. I took my drink to go. I was looking forward to a creamy latte with oat milk what I tasted was not creamy but watery. I ran into a person I haven't seen in a while it's a favorite spot of theirs. I plan on coming back to give them another try. I heated it up and added my oat creamer and additional shot of espresso. For starters the indoor and outdoor seating provide plenty of space for conversations, studying, reading of just sitting in general.outlets are easy to reach for laptop users. The merchandise is plentiful but not overwhelming & who doesn't need another cute decal of bag of signature coffee? Lastly, but certainly not least the coffee... OMGOODNESS! Lovely and nicely decorated coffee shop. I got a matcha latte which was rich and deep in flavor. Probably one of the best matcha lattes I've ever had. It was a good pairing with the a chocolate chip Cookie. We sat there for a bit on a Sunday afternoon and the vibe there was very serene and conducive for writing! My only complaint is, we didn't know it was closing so early! My kids got a flavored soda and apple cider (whole cinnamon stick and all!) love that they had a kids menu! Finally got a chance to come check out Novel. Glad I did. I like the seating and decor. Lots of people where busy in laptops and a few meeting with friends it was nice a quiet and great place to read a good book or meet a friend/do some work. I got the French press and it was really good. I thought the price for a coffee house was very reasonable too. The employee(sorry missed his name) was very friendly and checked on me often. Customer service wasn't nice. I was waiting for coffee. I see the person who ordered just after me was called in to get his coffee. But mine was just left on the counter. Other customers had the holiday cups, I was given a plain looking one. I love the location of this spot and the ambiance. There was a lot of natural lighting and the outdoor space was very spacious. My husband and I are on a hunt for good coffee shops and we made the drive to Novel Coffee Roasters during Labor Day Weekend. The baristas were nice and patient as we took our time asking questions and wondering what to order. The coffee was my least favorite part of the experience, which was kind of an important factor. I got an oat milk latte and it was so watery. I saw that they use Minor Figures Oat Milk. I felt like I couldn't enjoy the latte mainly because of the oat milk. If we are in the area again and want to grab coffee, I would probably try it again. I just wouldn't get the oat milk. If you are an avid oat milk latte kind of person, I advise getting a different milk if you visit. read more

Found this place via a search on the Yelp app as I was visiting a friend nearby, and it was a great find! The lighting was a little bright for my tastes, but the space is nice and modern, while having a little cozy coffee shop feel as well. They don't have any sugar free syrups, but Splenda and stevia are available, and they offered to put it in my cappuccino while making it, a nice touch. My cuppa was served in a nice china cup with no handle (a first for me) and a small glass of water on a little tray. It was really a cool presentation. The coffee had a great foam "flower" and deep, roasty flavor. The milk made it silky smooth, and overall, was a delicious drink. Best Latte I've had in a long time! I left Walgreens to get some Tylenol and headed straight here to get some caffeine for a terrible headache. I couldn't pass up one of the gluten free lemon berry pound cake either. It was also delicious! The staff was an all male staff and most of the patrons were too. I don't know if this is the norm here or not but I will say, it did kind of have a male vibe. The store was pretty muted with a bare decor and a simple menu. It was pretty generic. I did feel like the prices were a bit high in my opinion but again, the latte and cake were amazing and well worth the price, just for that. read more

Great coffee and killer latte art! The interior design of the coffee shop is killer, I love all of the decor and hangings on the wall. The tables are also all wooden topped so they are perfect for a nice instagram photo ;) I recommend the mocha latte, the latte itself is on the sweeter side so I would recommend asking for it to be half sweet, and it comes topped with latte art.
