Steak sandwich
Kelsey K.

Came in and ordered a steak sandwich to go today. They asked how I wanted it cooked I said mid rare. Got home and there wasn't enough meat in it to justify $20 it was chewy and overcooked. Why ask for temp if you're not gonna follow it anyway? Fries were good but again for $20 I'd expect a few more

Truly a hidden gem! I was a little hesitant about going to a French restaurant that also had Vietnamese food but cannot deny how great the combo was. I was so conflicted picking between the two menus because it all looked so good. Service was fantastic and the servers were wearing their masks while serving patrons. The tables however were a little closer together. Either way, I got the fried tofu which was ABSOLUTELY delicious! My brother and I scarfed that down very quickly! Our entrees were delicious as well! I got the quiche and my brother the salmon. The salmon was buttery and decadent. The pastry crust for my quiche also had so much flavor so you can only imagine how yummy the actual quiche was. Definitely will be back here again!

French onion soup and escargot
Amy L.

Who would have thought there'd be good French food in Reston? I couldn't decide between feeling super French and getting the escargot or being a basic American and getting the American-friendly french onion soup, so I ordered both. I'm so glad I ordered both because they were both delicious! If you've never tried escargot, the texture is similar to a mussel or clam. Kinda chewy (and unappealing to some people). But the real star is the garlic butter sauce that the snails are bathed in. It tastes soooo good and I love dunking bread in the garlic sauce, then eating it with a piece of escargot! The French onion soup was classic and tasted great! The cheese was bubbly and the broth was flavorful, without being overwhelmingly salty. I'd definitely order it again! My friend got the crab quiche and she seemed to really enjoy it! It was a good serving size too! My only minor complaint is that the outdoor tables could be a bit further apart. I don't think they were all 6 feet apart, but at least I sat outside. The servers all wore masks as well, so I felt safe overall! Definitely will be returning here on the next warm covid winter day!!

The food was so good! I had the escargot with the wonderfully crusty bread to sip up all the mushroom gravy and the cha gio. The family is so nice and the food was a wonderful surprise. I was there at dinner and it was not busy-- please go support! The French / Vietnamese fusion is so good! I will be back!

Perfection!! Give me THREE!!

Albeit I do not have much to judge on except the cappuccinos were so fabulous I had to order 3 and my friend ordered 2 yesterday. But I will now never go to the coffee shop at Lake Anne to get coffee, I will come here for PERFECT cappuccinos. But the one thing that applies to all their customers is how personable they are with customers. I saw them come by the table just to say hello, many different staff stopped by. And I saw them checking with all the patrons that were there as well. My friend describes the atmosphere like the TV show Cheers. She is a regular and they do know her name. And I love establishments that treat their customers so well, and so valued.

Great restaurant by the water at Lake Anne!
Stefan S.

Really good food, service and outdoor eating area. They had a huge 7 piece band playing and though they were very loud, it wasn't as bad sitting outside and they were very good. The food was excellent. The French onion soup was good, a little on the sweet side which is not what I prefer, but adding a little ground pepper made it better. The cheese and french bread in the crock made it a special. Had the trout almondine with rice and veggies. The rice tasted like a good basmati and the vegetables were tender and seasoned well. The trout was very good, though had more oil than I would have liked. It was cooked well and tasted delicious. We split a creme caramel that was also very good. The meal was paced well and our waiter kept returning as necessary to check on us, fill water, get other drinks, etc... Very nice place by the water, beautiful night to sit out. A little on the dark side depending on what table you sat at. We were fine on where we sat, but would recommend putting lights up to make it easier for patrons to see after dark. All in all it was a good meal, great service and I'll definitely be back. Its nice that I live so close to this restaurant around the lake!!! Highly recommend a visit here.

Fresh and warm, they had a crispy crust and a soft interior. They resembled mini ciabattas and were scrumptious with the butter. The salmon en croute blew me away! It was of the best dishes I've ever had. The salmon melted in my mouth, and the puff pastry was still crisp. I loved the flavorful sauce; it made the dish even better. The steak frites were just ok. The steak was cooked to my preference, but it was bland. The fries were amazing, though. Crunchy yet fluffy. I wish the steak came with a sauce, like the one served with the salmon en croute. The service was good overall, and they were attentive. The ambiance was lovely - cozy and romantic. I can't wait to come back for the rolls and the salmon en croute, and to try their other dishes! Upon our arrival, we were seated near a window overlooking the sidewalk where we were able to watch people passing by while enjoying our candlelit meal. 10 out of 10 for atmosphere at this charming and cozy table. The service was prompt and attentive. We started by enjoying a few of the craft cocktails, which were simply wonderful and the product of a talented and adept bartending. If your idea of a good cocktail involves slush or machines, this is probably not the place for you. I enjoyed a dirty martini, as did my youngest daughter. My oldest daughter enjoyed a French 75. All lovely and all perfectly mixed. I would return here if nothing more than the cocktails! For starters, my daughter shared the Pate De Campagne, which consisted of country style pâté, cornichons and toast points. They loved it! My wife enjoyed the Salad Verte and I loved the Roquefort Salad. Both salads were simply marvelous and went well with the freshly baked bread. On to the main event! Fo her entree, my youngest daughter had the Roasted Cornish Hen. She had never had Cornish hen before, but this particular rendition made her a fan of the dish. Perfectly cooked, juicy and savory. My older daughter enjoyed the Salmon en Croute. The salmon was perfectly cooked to the correct temp and the pastry was spot on. A lovely dish and one I will try on our next visit. My wife and I each devoured the Chicken Paillard. This is one of those dishes that is so simple, but the lemon butter knocks your socks off. If it wasn't such a lovely restaurant, I might have licked my plate. Yes....it was that good. I ate every last caper! For dessert, we shared a portion of the luxurious pistachio cheesecake. An excellent ending to an amazing meal. This charming restaurant is a jewel in the heart of Herndon. I highly recommend it for your next special occasion. We look forward to returning soon!

The standout for me was the patatas bravas--perfectly crispy potatoes paired with a spectacular garlic aioli. The truffle sheep's cheese was also outstanding, rich and flavorful, although the truffle honey didn't quite deliver on its promise--I could barely taste the truffle. It also only came with one slice of toasted bread, but thankfully the bread service helped stretch the dish (and even then, there was still cheese left over). The spiced beef empanadas were nicely crisp and satisfying. The grilled octopus, however, was just okay--slightly over-charred, which made it hard to fully appreciate the flavor. On the other hand, the paella salvaje was excellent, loaded with chicken, gaucho sausage, pork belly, chickpeas, and pickled onions. Definitely a must-order--but be sure to put it in early since it takes a while to prepare. For dessert, the flan catalan was a great finish--not overly sweet and nicely balanced. The wine list is another highlight, with plenty of good options available by the glass. We ordered the paella first and followed it with four tapas, which ended up being plenty of food for four people. Pricing came out to about $45 per person before tip, which felt reasonable for the quality and quantity. The interior has a warm, stylish vibe with lots of wood and dark tones, though it does feel a bit cramped--tables and booths are quite close together, and it can get pretty loud. Service was friendly and well-paced. It does get busy during peak hours, so reservations are highly recommended (they use Tock). Overall, a great spot for tapas with a lively atmosphere--just be prepared for some noise and tight seating.

However, we never saw Kelly from the time she took our order until we finished eating. She then showed up with an empty wine glass, said the wine order did not get put in, and asked if I still wanted it. I said "no" since we were done with our meal. At that time, I requested the Cheesecake w/cherries for my complimentary dessert, a small box for pizza, and the check. More than 20 minutes later, Kelly brought a box and the check, but no dessert. She then asked if I "had decided" on a dessert. I repeated that I would like Cheesecake with cherries. After nearly 30 minutes there was no sign of our waitress and no dessert. We were not happy at this point, left cash payment on the table, and walked out. We have eaten at Reston 60 Vines multiple times. No complaints about previous visits; food and service were very good. However, due to the long waits, inattention, and mistakes by our server on this visit, we were very disappointed. We felt management should be aware of this so they can correct the problem. I'm sure you expect better from your employees. We will have to think twice about dining on your patio this summer. Linda

He was yelling at the poor young man in front of the entire restaurant, over and over again about a simple mistake. I have been a manager of a restaurant before just this past year and how this man behaved was incredibly unacceptable, in front of CUSTOMERS no less. It makes me wonder and fear how this man behaves when customers are not around. I fear for all of the workers who work with this man - I would genuinely be shocked if that nice young man still works at this establishment because of how he was treated. Every person deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, especially in service positions, and the manager / owner is supposed to be the person supporting these service workers. This man does not treat his workers with dignity and respect.
