Did I mention tender and fresh? Wow! We ordered 2 offshore rolls, 1 Avalon minus the skin and 2 orders of yellowtail Nigiri. And we inhaled it so there's no pictures but if I'm ever in this area again, I'm coming back!

The batter was too thick and didn't compliment the flavor of the green beans, I wish we would have gotten Ahi Tuna. My Bison burger was pretty good, debatable slightly overcooked, I like a little more pink, but it was still very tender and good. I did get it without cheese, and the tomato jam, I don't really get the point of having tomato jam and a tomato on the burger lol. My husband had the steak frites and he really liked them. By far the best part were the drinks, so delicious and strong too. I feel, slightly overpriced, but that island prices, right? Our server was great.

We sat outside with a really nice view, the weather was warm and pleasant, and overall it just felt like a very relaxing birthday dinner by the water. We both ordered fish, and it was good. Nothing super unique or unforgettable, but definitely tasty. The oysters were also fresh and really enjoyable. The only thing that felt a little off was the service. The food took a while to come out, and different servers kept coming to the table, which made things a bit confusing at times and caused some mix-ups with our order. But overall, we still left with a good impression. They even brought out a birthday dessert for me at the end, which was a nice touch. I'd say it's a solid 4 stars for me. Not perfect, but definitely a nice spot if you're visiting Catalina.

Restaurant itself isn't big but very cozy and relaxing. My favorites are Caesar salad with shrimps, grilled fish tacos, seafood enchiladas and chicken nachos. I especially love the nachos. They serve the best salsa sauces. Mango habanero is so good with everything. Services are always friendly and foods come out fast. Best place for authentic Mexican in Avalon!

Got our appetizer, the spinach artichoke dip, then our entrees, ahi tuna Poké bowl and classic smash burger. All the food was delicious! A few things to note. The bathrooms are on the 2nd floor of the restaurant, which we thought was interesting. Their menu doesn't list their non alcoholic beverages, like sodas or teas. Just ask the server and they'll list them. Also doesn't serve tap water, only bottled. I'd recommend everyone go to this place for sure when visiting Catalina Island!
