This is the best coffee shop/lunch stop in the area! Silver Springs is a lovely community, but this little gem makes it even better. The owners work tirelessly to bring quality atmosphere and food to it's patrons. They are so kind and friendly, and go out of their way to make sure your visit is enjoyable. Cafe le Matin has great coffee, breakfast and lunch menu items, but one of the best eggs benedicts I have had in Calgary. They have a few Korean dishes as well. The Bugolgi Long Burger is delicious and worth a try if you are feeling like trying something new and delicious. They also have Bipimbap. Their portions are very generous. You may have trouble finishing. As many businesses have struggled during COVID times, these folks have as well, but they are not giving up. Please support this family owned and operated business and keep your hard earned money local rather than supporting large chains who are often owned internationally. This small cafe on Princess street has been here for years, but for some reason I hadn't had an opportunity to test it out. The brunch menu has lots of traditional options (eggs & bacon, omlettes etc) and the coffee is fantastic. The set up involves you ordering & paying at the main counter and then once you choose a seat, your order will be delivered to you. Nice little spot that I feel is often overlooked downtown. A friend and I visit here often for brunch. The breakfast is terrific! All day breakfast. Restaurants rarely cook my eggs properly and they always get it right. Friendly service. Nice place to sit down and grab a bite. Reasonably priced. I believe it is $8.99 +tax for the classic breakfast. Service is fairly quick depending on how busy they are. Other menu items are good as well, but their breakfast is what I'll keep going back for! This morning I ordered a Peameal sandwich and side Caes ar salad for $13.00. Apparently you only get half a sandwich when you order a sandwich. These people are disgustingly rude and treat customers as crappy as their food. They refused to make me a new sandwich or give me the missing half. They said I must have eaten it already. I left Cafe Le Matin and returned less than one minute after I opened the sandwich up. Do not support these people and their business. Terrible place. Zero stars!!! read more

The owner has severe anger management issues. He yelled at me and my friend to get out after my friend politely asked for a table change (the restaurant was almost empty). She had been a loyal customer for years. He got so angry when I requested a refund I was afraid I would get hit and my friend had a full blast panic attack. I ate here since all the reviews were pretty comparable. The food is fine from eggs to pancakes and breakfast sandwiches you wont be disappointed in that regard. BUT. You order at a counter and then seat yourself. Fill your own coffee or tea. The food is then brought to you when its ready. You are allowed only ONE coffee refill. I asked for napkins. I was given 3 beverage napkins and felt as if I was imposing. I then stated "I need at least 4 napkins since there are 4 people you just took the order from in my group" But the meal was good I'd eat there again next time I'm in Kingston and do not want 100% sit down service read more

I was denied service at this restaurant while visiting kingston from Vancouver, only because myself and my friend use wheelchairs. The owner said he would not allow wheelchairs and stopped us at the front door. He gave us no reason for not allowing us in and there was plenty of space in the restaurant so apparently it was just blatant discrimination against people using mobility devices. I would recommend staying away from this place as I've heard many similar stories. A complaint has been filed. read more

The on time I was there, the owner (?) yelled at me for wearing wet shoes (winter in Kingston ... of course I had wet shoes...) & told me I was not allowed to use the washrooms. This establishment turned away a man in a wheelchair ,because the chair would take up "too much space",in a otherwise empty restaurant at that time. Really didn't enjoy the food or atmosphere of this restaurant. On another occasion I ordered a swiss cheese and ham sandwich to go and the sandwich was extremely overpriced for what was only a slice of ham and a slice of cheese. If you're a visitor to Kingston, I wouldn't recommend this place. read more
