We ordered an iced matcha latte, an iced mango matcha latte, the strawberry matcha croffle, the banana almond croffle and the cheese corn croffle. The cheese corn croffle is one of the newer items and the owner was very pleased we wanted to try it. She came to check on us to make sure it was good. The service was amazing. I'll begin the review with the pros for this cafe. Cafe Joy has friendly customer service, which contributed positively to the overall experience. They also have a very cute aesthetic which reminds me of the cafes in Korea which I'm all here for haha. The pastries also looked delicious. Here are some minor things that could be improved: - I ordered a milkshake espresso, but it tasted more of a very sweetened foam-y iced late. The consistency was too runny and lacked the desired thickness I was expecting from a milkshake. - I observed several small details that detracted from the experience. The flimsy straws made stirring difficult and didn't match the aesthetic or size of the cup provided, as seen in the picture. - The wooden table near the window still had wooden shavings underneath. This is really a minor flaw, but it caused some discomfort when my legs came into contact with the rough surface so I had to switch to a different table. Overall, was a little disappointed, but I'd be willing to give it another try! I haven't had any of their pastries yet, so would go back to try one! read more

Adorable hidden gem in Bellevue! Everything on the menu is under $10, which is a win in itself! I tried two croffles, avocado egg toast, Kstreet toast, strawberry matcha latte, and sweet corn latte. The drinks were fantastic--not too sweet! The croffles were the perfect balance of chewy and crispy, and the Kstreet toast is a must-try. I'd skip the avocado egg toast, though. I was blown away by the K street sandwich and Biscoff Croffle. From the very first bite I could tell that whoever made it poured their heart and soul into ensuring everything from ingredients to texture to temperature to presentation was spot on. Croffle base was perfectly crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. Whipped cream was perfectly creamy and only lightly sweetened. Each croffle+whipped cream bite melts away in your mouth like a cloud floating away into the horizon. The K Street sandwich was hands down the best Korean sandwich I've ever had. The bread was freshly toasted - perfectly crisped and buttery. The filling was simple but so delicious (eggs scrambled with coleslaw, ham and cheese). Each bite felt like a bite of mom's kitchen, a familiar phrase of an old song or a hug from a good friend. I loved this so much that I gave the receptionist an additional $10 to the owner and told them to let them know it was the BEST Korean cafe food I've ever had. read more

I love this cafe! I've been a regular since it opened, and it's my go-to spot whenever I'm in Bellevue. The owner is friendly and gracious, and the young ladies behind the counter are sweet, efficient, and delightful. They introduced me to "croffles!" Something I missed when I was in Seoul. A delicious, chewy waffle made of croissant dough, topped with various goodies. But, my favorite is the avocado and egg toast--a wonderful breakfast! Tried the matcha strawberry which was delish. The matcha whip wasn't too sweet, it was just right. The regular strawberry one was good too but I would still prefer the matcha one because the slight bitterness balanced out the sweetness. Lovely cafe that just opened up across from the Bellevue library. The workers were friendly and welcoming and the space was very clean. Lots of seating to get work done too! Stopped by this cute cafe across from the Bellevue library and had the most amazing iced Mango Matcha Latte! The ingredients used in this drink are top notch!! The mango puree used in this drink is fresh with delectable chunks of mangos to bite into. The fresh mango taste and hint of sweetness go so well with the unsweetened matcha and fresh milk. What a delightful experience for my taste buds! The cafe is so clean and neat, plus service is top notch! The barista, Hemie, who served us was very knowledgable of all the drink types and food served in this cafe. I had three hungry kids with me when we ordered and she answered all of our questions with grace, and helped us with our orders so kindly and patiently. After that, she had to make all our drinks while taking new orders from new customers. Again she handled that with ease and smile on her face. She's truly amazing! Very cute little store across from the downtown Bellevue library. Offers a wide selection of drinks and food. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to try them all, but I got a seasonal Korean Pear drink which was nice and refreshing. They used real peels from the pear which added to the flavor. The seating for the place is surprisingly big for how small the storefront seemed to be. There was bar seats, regular tables, and high tables with plenty of outlets for you to stay and study. The food selection looked nice, which would be great for taking breaks while you're studying. They were out of the Matcha Croffle, so we ordered the strawberry croffle, which was still pretty good. the Croffle had nice crisp to it and lightly sweet glaze. The drinks just didn't have much matcha flavor, but the sesame latte had good amount of sesame flavor. Employees were busy but still very nice and patient. Food came out quickly. If you want matcha, you should go to Nana's. That's still the best matcha in town. They didn't have sweet corn which was bummer so tried Jeju gold mandarin. It didn't taste anything like mandarin and was a bit too sweet even considering its sparkling drink. Americano was good but the cup leaked everywhere and burned myself from coffee. They need better cups and lids for hot drinks! I also ordered Ice cream croffle as to-go and waited 15min but got corn cheese instead. I didn't wait another 15min for the stupid croffle so just took it. Maybe need to lower the volume of music or something cause i clearly asked for Ice Cream NOT Corn cheese. Service is way too slow.
