gorgeous cafe inside printemps, barista is very personable and will bring your drink to your table. pretty good coffee but was mainly here to find the red room to see the mosaic (it's on the other side of the building and worth trekking through the maze). plenty of nice SAs will point you in the right direction

Guava croissant
Seby I.

Located inside the luxurious French department store Printemps this cafe is both casual and a nice place to relax. I had read about the guava croissant and decided to have one. Alonzo told me that he would heat it for a few minutes as it was refrigerated. I wondered if these are made daily or not? The warmed up croissant had a pleasant aroma of guava which was in the center. The croissant was flaky and buttery and actually resembled a Danish with the pastry cream and the small round of guava jam. I had expected the guava to be inside the croissant similar to the way the French chefs do with day old almond croissants (slice it in half, add pastry cream, pop it in the oven to caramelize and dusted with powdered sugar. A special blend of medium and dark roasted beans are specially made by Devocion for Printemps. At $7 it is the same price as Fauchon. Currently only cards are accepted. I had a pleasant visit and then went to see the store.

A chic, but comfortable, setting near the entrance to the brand new Printemps department store (the first one in the USA). After waiting in line to get into the store for 45 mins, this was an ideal way to refuel before our shopping began. The pastries were UNREAL. Extremely tasty and unique, and perfect to pair with their espresso or drip coffee. The specialty coffee drinks looked good too, but we only tried the standard drip and espresso to get an idea of what their foundational Cafe Jalu roast tasted like. Hint: it's chocolatey and not over roasted, so it's a winner! The service was good although we had some trouble getting the right pastry. I think the signs next to the pastries could be more clear but besides that, it was an elegant and rewarding experience!

Cafe Jalu is the coffeeshop inside the newly opened Printemps New York, and it's just as gorgeous as the rest of the store. I couldn't do any real shopping, but I stopped in to check out the store last weekend and one of my first stops was Cafe Jalu. I got an iced americano to go, but I'd have loved to sit and enjoy my coffee there, because the cafe is really gorgeous and fun. If you need a coffee and you're in the area, stopping by for a coffe at Cafe Jalu gives you a chance to get a good coffee (with friendly service) and check out the new Printemps!

Cappuccino for one. Rich and delicious.

Coffee is delicious here, I love a strong coffee and they make my cappuccino perfectly. Service was a little slow, but that's ok, NYers are always in a rush. Take some time to slow down. Ambiance is calming and relaxed. Beautiful little cafe for morning or afternoon coffee.

Iced Cortado

This was my first time ordering an iced cortado, since I haven't been as into lattes and milk lately. This drink had the perfect balance of espresso and milk. It had a rich flavor. The cafe was beautifully decorated, and the service was quick, despite the constant flow of customers.

Cafe Jalu is great for relaxing after shopping. Good selection of teas, quality coffee and pastries. Comfortable and lovely surrounding with friendly service.

Super slow service for just a coffee. Dishes are left piled up on tables with three employees in a tiny coffee shop

lovely parisian style cafe within the famous Printemp department store in NYC. we recently purchased a Galette des Rois from cafe jalu and we loved it so much. it is so wonderful to know we can find a Galette during Ephiphany (January) here in the US. please continue carrying it next year and also possibly consider carrying Buche de Noel for Christmas as well. keep up the great work!

It's rare to find a place that balances a stunning, high-design space with such warm, attentive service. We explored more of the menu this time, and everything was just as impressive. The oysters were incredibly fresh, clean, briny, and perfectly served. Another standout that I'll definitely be ordering again. Between the atmosphere, the consistency of the food (super yummy), and the thoughtful team, Conwell Hall is quickly becoming one of those places you keep coming back to.

They have a water dispenser, two locking bathrooms, and plenty of outlets, so I already have a very positive view of Grace Street as a good place to rest. The food is alright. It's a bit overpriced and the teas are not good quality. However, the desserts are delicious. I usually split a slice of basque cheesecake with my friends. The regular and matcha have both been good in my experience. I don't like chocolate cake, so I haven't tried that variety. I wish the pumpkin was available in the smaller size too! I've tried their boba, and it isn't good. The hot teas are okay but not great. They're pretty much just syrup and milk. I would avoid the drinks and just get the desserts! I haven't personally tried the bingsoo, but I've heard good things. The waffle is alright--all in all, come here to recharge and for the basque cheesecake!

Something with eggs, and meat, and a hot beverage as winter is fast approaching. Anything else would do fine, but the first two were an absolute must. Daily Provisions fulfilled those obligations. Though pricey, and probably why I will not return, they make one tasty breakfast sandwich. It might even outdo Panera! If only I could see how it is made rather than just wrapped and packaged for me, with me assuming they just took a pre-packaged sandwich and heated it up. I really hope they do not do that. The taste of it tells me they do not, but I have to surmise. I also got a hot chocolate, which is super rich. It is not super hot, but if you are not careful you could have an accident on the sidewalk because of the milk they use. Drink it slow and steady. Or pace yourself between sips. Do not let the body recognize this is full of the things that make bowel movements happen. Thankfully, I held my ground. They also sell crullers. I love a good cruller. Choux pastry donuts full of rich flavor, without all the density of an actual donut. This one may be too rich. It is also quite expensive. Nearby Donut Pub does a better job with them. I had to be careful eating this. Being careful and knowing how much it cost to get a breakfast here are what keep it a three star review. However, their offerings will keep you out of the cold and give you strengths on days you need to be picked up.

They also have cocktails on the menu which is something we definitely need to come back for. We got their spring specials this time but there are so many drinks I still want to try. The space is a bit cramped so it's more of a grab and go situation. The Banana Bread Hojicha ($8.75) was wow, it tastes exactly like it sounds. It was sweet enough for me without needing any additional sweetener. The only issue was that the hojicha came out a little grainy, so I think the barista didn't mix it as well as they would matcha. The Cherry Blossom Matcha ($8.50) was everything we imagined cherry blossom to taste like. A lot of times cherry blossom drinks end up tasting pretty off, but this one actually delivered. It's made with ground cherry blossom which I think makes all the difference. The matcha itself was good but the drink runs on the less sweet side, so my husband added honey and brown sugar syrup to his. By the time I got to try it, it tasted just as good as mine. We are definitely coming back for those cocktails.
