Vibe was nice and spacious. Also not crowded and able to enjoy cafe and alcoholic drinks late which was nice. The bathroom could've been better. Service was good.

Not the most affordable place for a drink in the area, but it is one of the most inviting cafes in Chelsea. They offer a wide selection of coffee and alcoholic drinks in a comfortable/eclectic setting. I ordered a matcha (which was good), but forget about the product. I would 100% come back just to sit in this lovely, free-flowing space. This is the perfect place to get some work done during the day or have a drink with friends at night. There is plenty of room for bigger groups which is appreciated.

I only had a coffee at this place but was able to hang at this cafe for about two hours before a meeting in the area. Good coffee, good vibes, great wifi connection (wink-wink) they play Spanish music in the background which I thought was fun!

Super cute cafe! Met up with a colleague to co-work here together. Lots of different seating options like a booth, chairs with little tables, couches, etc. I guess this place doubles as a bar. They have a happy hour deal on cocktails as well as a full service bar it looks like inside. There's one restroom which is also really cool but could use some upkeep. The cafe drink menu is very standard. I purchased a skinny tall can of Diet Coke with ice and checked out the pastries. I was hungry and was feeling savory and was a little disappointed to find only sweet options like croissants, and muffins. I ended up getting one of these prepackaged protein brownies which was surprisingly REALLY sweet and filling (it was about 300 calories). I'd love to come back to enjoy a chai latte one day and maybe purchase more protein brownies!

very expensive for coffee! I wanted to get a dirty chai with oat milk and it was coming out to almost $11, which is a bit high from what I've ordered in the past in the city. I know they have a great late night HH deal from 9-11pm so I would definitely be intrigued to come back for that if I find myself in the area. my drink wasn't anything special and we also got a plain oat milk latte just to get a taste of the espresso and it was average. my friend got the pistachio latte and the flavoring was definitely a bit artificial so as long as you're not expecting it to be super exact you'll like it. the service was fast and the barista was nice & the cafe was cute and would be a nice place to work as a they do offer wifi & have a public bathroom.

My mezcal drink is to the left.

Quite an interesting vibe depending on the hour you're here. I'm sure in the afternoon, it's a very relaxing place to meet someone for a quick coffee or pick me up. The floral background gives you almost a Miami vibe or even a vacation vibe of sorts. Very intimate in some ways with all the seating. In the evening, it really does turn into a romantic place to grab a cocktail depending on the hour. It's almost nondescript to an extent. You have to know of this place. It's also called Bar 21 from the outside, so maybe that gives it away. Our situation was that we wanted to grab a quick pick-me-up cocktail before our dinner reservation. The cocktails are pretty good. I had a mezcal infused cocktail. Unfortunately, can't find the cocktail menu anywhere so I couldn't tell you what's in it. My friend had a similar looking drink, but I wish the cocktail menu was online. Anyhow, we had loads of fun here and it kinda felt a bit private. Granted, yes it was like 7pm on a colder Tuesday night, but it's Chelsea after all

Super cute and cozy space with lots of room to drink coffee, cocktails, and even get some work done (there's plenty of places to post up with a snack and a laptop). Also: music was top tier and the vibe was chill, not too loud, even late at night when it turned into more of a bar vibe. Will def be back.

This is really too bad because I don't mind occasionally coming here to read and have a coffee or beer. But again, they always change their prices from what's on the menu. A drip coffee is supposed to be $4. Maybe ice would be a dollar extra. I ordered a regular drip iced coffee as did my boyfriend and they charged us almost $18. Completely insane. $9 an iced coffee?! That's more than double of what's on the menu. I feel like I've been robbed. I asked after why it's so much more expensive and he stammered that it's because of the size of the plastic cup. Note, my cup was 80-90% milk and a splash of coffee. Nice scam they have going. They also instituted a new rule that you have to turn off your laptops and are forbidden from doing work here after 5pm. Which admittedly I hate technology and people being sucked into their devices as well but they actively go around and tell people to unplug. Just another way to lose business it seems to me.

LOVE the decor and the drinks we had were great. We had a top shelf espresso martini, the afogato martini and the chi martini. Service was a little slow because there was only one person making the drinks but we didn't mind waiting and hanging out. Vibes were so cool and we'd come back again for sure!

The decaf coffee is delicious and it's a great place to work for a few hours, or meet up with friends and family. The servers are incredible and lovely.

the wifi expires every 2 hours!! be prepared to shell out an extra $7 for another latte just to stay connected haha. also the guy bartender with dark hair was excellent but the girl who picked up after his shift needs some work... it's a beautiful cafe overall with the decor crystal chandelier and everything. i would come back again ! it's def more of a working grind vibe than a sitting and talking vibe

One of the most beautiful coffee shops in the city. It is filled with colorful flowers, lush greenery, interesting paintings, and a gloriously gorgeous chandelier. The interior is elegant and breathtaking. There are couches, as well as regular chairs and tables for seating. In addition, there is a juice bar, serving smoothies and healthy fare. I ordered the Mocha and Spinach Pie. The Mocha was prettily prepared, and had a warm, chocolate-y taste, while being rich, creamy, with just the right amount of sweetness. The Spinach Pie came on a lovely blue plate, but with no utensils. The outer shell was crisp and flaky. The filling was a yummy mixture of spinach and feta. On the way out, I got a Chocolate Babka Muffin, which was deliciously moist and soft. The person behind the counter was great! He was knowledgeable about the menu and very patient. I would definitely return to try more of their coffee or smoothie, as well as Lentil Salad.

I came here on a Friday night to meet a large group of friends. I was shocked the shop owner was willing to accommodate us. The music was a tad loud. It felt more like a night club than a cafe. I was hoping to order hot cocoa. Unfortunately, I arrived at 7pm and they were only serving alcoholic beverages and soft drinks. I ended up ordering a can of ginger ale for $3. I love the ambience and the location is perfect. It is two blocks away from 23rd Street (e train).

Stepping into this place feels like you're in some secret, super special cocktail club. Decor is super high end, vibes are upscale AF. The cocktail menu is incredible -- and incredibly pricey, but truly worth it. I ordered the Valentino which was strong and sweet, really well made. The mint Moroccan tea gave the drink a cool, refreshing taste on every sip. I also tried the Silver Screen, the closest drink I could find to an old fashioned. It was interesting, there was definitely a hint of a buttery taste. Overall a really balanced bourbon drink. I walked in and found room at the standing tables. The bar seating was plentiful and comfortable. There is plenty of space for people to stand behind the bar or a high top tables enjoying happy hour after work. If you go at 4:30 or 5, it's a bit calmer as the after work crowd trickles in. And as the evening went on, it started to get more and more packed, and it became a really lively vibe. After my friend left for another function, I stuck around a little bit longer for a little solo dinner. I had a glass of Prosecco off the happy hour menu followed by a dirty martini, and I did request to look at their full dinner menu because there was a couple items that I wanted to try. I wanted to try the duck Ragu and halloumi cheese, both of which were absolutely fantastic. The halloumi cheese was perfectly grilled and flavorful, and the duck Ragu was very comforting. I highly recommend both dishes. I ended up chatting with a woman sitting next to me who happened to work with select apertivo, and next thing I know one of the bartenders handed me a lovely bright cocktail to try on the house. It was a refreshing bubbly Barlume spritz that I'll definitely have to get again next time. Overall, I had a really great time at Barlume. The service was excellent from the servers and the bartenders, and they were all very attentive, personable and friendly throughout the evening. It's a small area with the tables pretty close together. We were given a table in the far corner, which was perfect for comfort and looking out at the restaurant. Two of us each ordered a glass of house wine, which were "ok." We opted for the Boqueria Experience, which is $65 per person and includes a variety of chef-selected tapas, a paella and an order of the restaurant's special JAMÓN IBÉRICO DE BELLOTA, which is described on the charcuterie menu as aged 48 months, with deep marbling, rich and nutty flavor. We enjoyed most of the tapas, including the potatoes, the beef/lamb balls, the salad and bruschetta. The croquettes were "ok" with the heavy aeoli masking some of the flavor. The seafood paella was good and was different from ones I've had in the past, with the caramelized layer on the bottom. Yum. Honestly, none of us was a big fan of the Jamon Iberico de Bellota. I'm sure it's special and luxurious, but we found it not to have much flavor. Frankly, it was a big disappointment for us. The service was beyond excellent. We were very pleased with the timing of the presentation of the meal, the superb water service and the general enthusiasm and pleasantness of the Staff. We will come back and try different items on the ala carte menu. I thought there would be more seafood and meat tapas offerings in the "Experience". Instead, it was a lot of cheese, vegetables, dates and bread. Although $65 per person likely was a good value for what we got, I think the tapas items were heavy on the lower cost tapas and that it wasn't a true top-of-the-line "Experience". A seafood dish or even a chicken dish (chicken wings) instead of one of the two croquette offerings would have helped.

The server was inattentive and took a while to take our orders. We had to ask her for water three times, searching for her across the room in an attempt to catch her attention. She was a bit absent during the two-ish hours we were there. On the bright side, the drinks were fairly good. I ordered this strawberry vodka cocktail topped with whole mint. I'm wary of vodka for its harsh, unpleasant taste, but I found this drink to actually be very pleasant, tasing like a fruit smoothie you'd get from a local juicer. There was also a burgundy drink served on a wine glass that tasted like the holidays. I liked that one quite a bit. Overall, Oscar Wilde was an okay experience.
