The bubble waffle is nothing special and the bubble tea is not spectacular. I have been here a few times and to be honest, the smell of the waffle just can't be ignored. The wait for it can be painfully long if they're busy (you can see all the sad faces waiting for their bubbles). So to wait 5 - 10 mins for a bubble waffle, it better taste damn freaking good. The batter is a little bit too starchy for my liking and once it gets cold it's basically inedible. I've had others that are still tasty when cooled down so I know there's a difference. I had an experience where i ordered a mango slush and it was sooo watery that I had to get another one made. The second time tasted how it should, but having the first one come through as basically a yellow water drink was not acceptable.. I watch a girl working behind the counter making her drink and then sipping on her own drink concoction while on the job. I am pretty sure that was not allowed when I worked in the food industry? By far the best bubble waffle I've had! Fresh and crispy. Their bubble tea selections are standard, like most other bbt places, but they do have a few interesting ones that are not caffeinated. Great place to chill. read more

I like their green tea line of drinks, I mean it's the only line I've tried so far. The teas are not the best but decent compare to many bubble tea places in town or nearby the area. Do note that the bubbles are not sweetened (maybe they are but not excessive like some bubble tea place) which I don't mind at all, as it still has a nice and chewy texture like it is suppose to be. If you do have a sweet tooth you might want to consider requesting for a slightly sweeter drink than the level of sweetness you usually would from other places. Tea - 6/10 Bubbles/boba/pearls - 7 But most part of my stars are for the bubble waffles. I ordered their original and all I can say is, wow. it is the best I have had so far in Vancouver. It is crispy, eggy, and delicious all at the same time. I personally think it is better than Bubble Queen and that bubble waffle place in Aberdeen. Visited the place to check out their specialty birds nest drinks. However, when I went they were already sold out! Pretty disappointing really considering the fact that I was there at 1pm. Onto what I actually ordered, I had their house special green milk tea with pearls. Growing up Taiwanese and a self-proclaimed "bubble tea connoisseur", there was nothing authentic about the taste of their tea. It was mainly sugar and creamer. I will give an extra star though because their pearls were prepared very well in both flavour and texture. The lineup was also very long. All in all, it won't be a place for me to get bubble tea, but if I'm in Crystal Mall with a sudden craving, this would probably be my first choice. read more

I know that bubble waffles take awhile to make, but the people making them were distracted and preferred to chat with their coworkers over doing their job. Worse of all! Came here to try their bubble tea and bubble waffle. Ordered the seasonal bubble waffle (bubble waffle with chocolate chips) and a mango green milk tea. I was very disappointed to see that the bubble tea is made with powdered milk and syrups instead of real milk and fruit. I was visiting Crystal Mall today and really wanted to have bubble waffle. I was only able to locate this place and another place in the food court that had bubble waffle (I was actually expecting more places to have bubble waffles to be honest, just like Pacific Mall in Toronto). I decided to get my bubble waffle at this place because the other place didn't have HK Milk tea (because I wanted that too) so I didn't bother getting my bubble waffle there. I ordered my bubble waffle at this place. The server that was at the cashier was nice and friendly. However, they had three other people beside the server at the cashier working there, yet it took a long time for me to get my bubble waffle AND it was the only thing I ordered. In addition, there weren't that many people before me to begin with. When I finally got my bubble waffle, I have to say I was disappointed in the taste and texture of the bubble waffle. It was too chewy and the flavor was just sub-par. I definitely have had better in Toronto and for cheaper too. Maybe there drinks here is better, but I don't think I would try ..... read more

Good bbt joint inside Crystal Mall! I ordered the classic milk tea with pearls -- ultimate test how good a bbt place can be IMO -- if they can get the basics right then that's a good sign! The tea was smooth and service was great. Upon ordering they asked me what level of sweetness and amount of ice you want which was nice so you know right off the bat you can personalize your drink. They were busy but everyone working behind the bar was super friendly. Service with a smile! (which I can appreciate as it's often rare for most bbt cafés). read more
