Located inside a mall , some stores are outlets but not all. This has been our list to try of course - like any first timer at New Orleans. This location has seating and free water. It's inside the mall so of course air conditioning on those muggy days.  The amount of powered sugar is no joke. We bought the 3 pack and ended up eating them right there so they are fresh. It was good but we did comment on how we thought they would be lighter-like a donut. This was dense.  It felt heavy.  It was good but I don't know if I'll be back here for beignets, when there are other choices.

This location is at the end of the "mall" / outlets. Our hotel Was next to this mall so on our first day we started our day walking thru the mall, the shops were barely starting to open. Then we stumbled upon this - which of course was on our list to try their famous Beignets. We got the 3 pack- they were truly not kidding about the amount of powered sugar they put on top. When you look into our empty bag - you can save it for other desserts because there is so much! I have to admit these were not our fave at the end of our trip. These seemed more dense than I prefer. But it was on the list of must stops so of course-- we had to try.

Like many of the NOLA staples, this is a place everyone should visit at least once--once. After that, you can decide for yourself if it's worth revisiting or just another tourist stop BB

Went on a Friday afternoon and there were plenty of empty tables inside. We're able to sit and be served. Had beignets to share an iced cafe au lait and a cafe au lait praline. All were amazing. Would definitely recommend. Might be back for some of the merch

Came here on a girls trip and was told to directly to Cafe Du Monde! The beignets were delicious and definitely worth it, we sat outside and enjoyed them! Beware that they only accept Cash. We had a very rude woman as a server who basically yelled at us. she was just trying to get us out of there so she could turn our table. Other servers were being nice to the other guests so I don't think the establishment was rude but maybe try one of their other locations.

Sorry beignets disappeared before I could get a picture! Awesome, fresh made, still warm!

I was told to visit here for beignets and that I should have cafe au lait to dip the beignets into. Well I wasn't feeling hot cafe au lait but saw they had it in a frozen mocha version so I ordered that and I abandoned dipping my beignets in the cafe. I paid around $26 and some change for a small hot cafe au lait and my large mocha cafe au lait and two (2) orders of the lightly beignets. The beignets here are small and they come in threes. So I got 3 for me and 3 for a friend. I only could eat one for full transparency and saved the other two for much later. Beignets are too sweet and doughy for me. They were tasty but too much for me. This location is in the mall and there was a little line waiting to place orders so be prepared to wait. There is seating inside like almost like food court type of seating to me. Be prepared to sit in and have powdered sugar everywhere. I wasn't sure if they put so much powdered sugar on the beignets that it wastes everywhere or if they do not do as good of a job cleaning table and sweeping the powdered sugar off the floors. But it looked like everyone had powdered sugar on their clothes and under the tables and on the chairs. So be ready to get covered in sugar enjoying beignets here. The staff were nice and professional. I did somehow get four beignets in my bag because they had one beignet fried fused to another. The beignets were crispy on the outside and moist and doughy inside and sweet to me. They also were fresh and hot as you can see them being rolled out and cut and fried. I recommend this spot.

Having been to the Cafe Du Monde location in City Park, we found the one here to be underwhelming. The beignets were warm but not freshly fried compared to the busier location in City Park so they tasted softer and chewier instead of crispy and hot. Otherwise, the drinks were good and staff were friendly. There is no wait at this location and plenty of seating. If this is your first time trying Cafe Du Monde, I recommend skipping the one at this location and going to one of the other two locations.

We only got cafe au lait and coffee to conquer the afternoon slump, so I can't speak to the begniets at this location. But the service was fast and efficient, albeit not very friendly, and the coffee did its job. It's worth noting that credit cards are accepted, unlike the cash only French Quarter location.

Located in the Outlet mall. If you want to avoid the crowds and don't care about being at the one in the French Quarter, then come to this one. Not much ambience (it's in an outlet mall), but you can seat yourself very comfortably. The Beignets are made fresh, but I do prefer the ones at Cafe Beignet. Nevertheless, it's compulsory to get them at Cafe DuMonde for first time visitors. The Au Lait was okay; not very strong coffee in this drink and the milk seems rather watered down. They have some souvenirs to buy here but there is a Cafe DuMonde retail store that has way more stuff, a couple of steps from the Decatur street location, where I bought a cool t-shirt.

A New Orleans classic that did not disappoint - I thought the beignets were a delight! I wish the frozen cafe au lait had been less sweet but that's just my preference.

Small location located in the outlet mall. There was a long line even during the day on a Friday (though possibly because there was a conference in town) but it moved pretty fast. Since it's in a mall, the location is a bit odd but there's plenty of seating. I enjoyed the frozen cafe au lait a lot (tbh tasted better when it started to melt) but I felt that the beignets were better at Cafe Beignets! Those were fresh and hot, but these felt lukewarm and stale and didn't have the same pillowy texture. The dough also tasted different here. Maybe we just happened to get an old batch or maybe it's dependent on location? But would recommend the cafe au lait! Also it's not cash only, they take card! (but I think no apple pay)

We stopped at Café Du Monde while passing through New Orleans with our family of 9, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The beignets came out hot, covered in powdered sugar, and disappeared within minutes (which says a lot with this crew). The coffee was strong, simple, and exactly what you want with something sweet. Traveling with a big family can be chaotic, but this was one of those stops that just felt easy quick service, plenty of space, and everyone left happy (even the picky ones). It's one of those places that actually feels like part of the experience of being in New Orleans, not just another stop for food. We ended up capturing the whole moment because it was too good not to definitely one of our favorite stops so far. Would 100% come back.

I had the chance to come back to the city last weekend, when a good friend from my Italy days was in town for a conference. I was able to meet her to explore the city for a day, and we of course had to make room for beignets and Cafe du Monde. We almost settled for one of the locations at an indoor mall, but we stuck out a 20-30 min walk from where we were to make it to the original at the French Quarter. Since it was just two of us, we were able to get seated pretty quickly even though there was an expected Saturday morning line. I am also glad my friend had cash because they STILL only accept cash for payment. No credit cards, which is wild at any US establishment nowadays. We also tried to only order one plate of beignets (come in a set of 3) and one coffee each but the server came back with two beignet plates and coffees. $20 with tax included! The beignets themselves were scrumptious, warm, and delicious ofcourse. So I suppose worth any inconvenience that we may have experienced. However, the tables are left incredibly messy. It is true that our server did wipe off our table before we sat down but it is embarrassing to see patrons create such a mess to begin with.

She was polite and hospitable, and said she couldn't wait to see me. It was the type of interaction you'd expect from Chick-fil-a. I felt valued, and not like I was bothering them for patronizing their business. The donuts were still warm when I got home. The family quickly devoured them. And the icing on the cake? Two dozen mixed donuts were only $22 including tax. Other donut shops and bakeries could take a lesson in customer service from this place. It's simple--either train your staff to interact respectfully and professionally with customers, or if they lack the people skills, consider placing them in roles behind the scenes where they can still contribute without impacting the customer experience. Surprisingly, we were the only patrons there at the time, and our order came out quickly. Fast forward to a Thurs morning a few weeks ago... We checked out this place as we were in a rush and were craving a good omelet. The queue was almost out the door, the place was packed - we never thought we'd get our order in time. It took some time for us to place our order, but in under 15 minutes, our order was out to us. This time, in addition to the classic veggie omelet, we had berry pancakes. The omelets were just as good as they were a few years ago. Portions were ample, food was fresh, and it was reasonably priced. The pancakes left much to be desired, though. There was a single berry atop the 3 pancakes. It was also impossible to get any honey or syrup out of the packets they included in the condiments area. The pancake itself was not too thick, which is nice, but there was nothing to moisten it so we ended up eating very little. The pancake is also advertised and priced as an upgrade from a regular pancake order, when in reality, it is just 3 pancakes with one strawberry. That was quite disappointing so I will probably never get pancakes from here again. I will return for the omelets however!

I offered to order food to-go so we could at least sit down and get started while waiting, and she told me if I did that they would remove our name from the waitlist because "you have to pick one or the other." No willingness to problem solve whatsoever. She repeatedly said she was "sorry," but her actions showed the opposite.
