    French Toast
    Mia H.

Food: 3/5 Atmosphere: 3/5 Service: 3/5 It's a cute little cafe tucked in the side streets of Sewickley. If you are in the area and are in the mood for some sandwiches, this is an excellent place to stop. The cashier was friendly, and the ingredients tasted fresh in the complete sandwich. They use Mancini's bread for the French toast, which makes it so much better. I was a little disappointed that the pasta salad tasted like it was store-bought, and the hash browns were greasy. But overall, I would come back here and try something new!

A nice cafe in Sewickley that serves breakfast and lunch. Service was super friendly and we were greeted right away. I tried the chicken bacon wrap and it was delicious. I also got hash browns which were good but on the greasy side. My order did take a little longer than I expected. There was plenty of seating available. They also have a lot of pastries and desserts to choose from.

A staple place for solid breakfast and brunch options! It gets pretty busy on the weekends but luckily there is plenty of seating. Reminds me of a fast casual diner/deli. Everything we got was delicious, hearty, and tasted very fresh. The ciabatta bread was super crisp and thick. I opted to upgrade for the pierogies, but they were just ok - nothing spectacular. Sadly, they don't have many coffee options, just drip and bottled cold brew in the fridge.

Not the greatest experience, not sure if things have changed since Covid, but it was pretty empty and took almost 15 minutes to receive our order. The food was great, but for the price there are better options around. I ordered the Belgian Waffles which were pretty good, but you are definitely paying Sewickley prices.

I have only been here a few times, and only thus far been on a quick lunch run when I have come, but this place is an office favorite for a good lunch. The first visit I ordered French toast and was very pleased. It was cooked to order made of Mancinis bread and tasted great, included powdered sugar and banana with some sort of caramel syrup type sauce. The NEXT time I had one of the top five BEST sandwiches of my life. I didn't even get a picture, it was so good. This place serves breakfast all day (7am-2pm) and their Alpha Omega blew me away. Its a Ciabatta served with over hard eggs, locally sourced white cheddar cheese, bacon jam and real maple syrup. I would recommend it to anyone who likes a good breakfast Sammie. This time I had a roasted chicken and brie baguette (picture attatched) and it was creamy and good. I added a bit of Frank's hot sauce to it, but I would have preferred more of the homry mustard mayo that they use, I just didn't know to ask for it. I hope next time to enjoy the restaurant itself and not just get take out, but I will definitely be returning.

Great Cafe with breakfast & brunch on the menu. My son and I shared a custom made omelet with roasted potatoes and the Banana Nutella Crepe. Both meals were delicious, but the potatoes were a little too soggy and salty for me. I am definitely going back to get crepes again! There were a lot of choices on the menu and they all sounded amazing! I can't wait to go back! Try it, you won't be disappointed.

1st time here! Saw the warm apples on Yelp cover photo and took me down the rabbit hole to the Mancini s baguette French toast with bananas and caramel. Ordered both. The French toast was delicious and had a nice, not overly sweet caramel. The apples didn't really do nothing as they didn't appear to take on any of the flavor they were cooked in. Cool take on the French toast though!

    Quiche and orzo salad

Cafe des Amis is a great little eatery on a side street in Sewickley. It's more casual than Mediterra on the main drag, but its menu is long and enticing. And they offer breakfast all day! Our party had sweet crepes, a generous omelet with potatoes, and a quiche with orzo and spinach salad. The crust on the quiche was flaky, and even the orzo salad came warmed up. (My only complaint was that the salad was more orzo than spinach.) They have indoor seating (main as well as overflow) and outdoor seating. Street parking is non-existent, so better to park in the public lot and walk over while window shopping. Bathrooms down the hall. We'll have to come back to sample more of their food.

How is parking? We have an exotic car but would like to stop in for breakfast.

There are a few public spaces out front. Or the hospital is two blocks away if you would like to park in a secure lot.

I've been a regular there since I moved in nearby, and from the start it was obvious that the people who work there sincerely care about making the experience nice. I've always been greeted with a smile, even during hectic weekend hours when the whole place is packed with a line out the door-- and even on the most full-house days, I've never been made to feel rushed. More than that, I always get the same thing there (I'm just a creature of habit-- every bite I've ever stolen from a friend's plate has also been delectable). The staff have picked up on this and will offer to get me "my usual" when I visit; it makes me feel valued and noticed, and they'll often use the time I would've spent ordering making conversation, asking about my day or the book I'm reading. I've never been to a place with such genuinely friendly staff, and I feel so lucky to live so close! Summed up: I never leave Cafe Moulin without a full stomach and a smile.

But the star of the show for me is the Shakshouka. I have gotten it the last 2 times I went. You also have to try their Dirty Chai. My only critique is the hostess at the front. She appeared overwhelmed by her role and was not warm. We were actually told by the waiters that "she is serious about her list". Which would be great if she managed it effectively. When I brought concerns that we had been pushed down the list 3 times for other parties. She responded "well, how do you know that" to which I responded "we watched you take their names down after ours and sit them before us". Her response was to shoo me off and tell me to go find a table myself; to which I did. But what a poor way to manage your stress, responsibility, and consumers. On the bright side my waiter/waitress was awesome per usual.
