this is my favourite, niche place ever. it has a little gift shop in the front, and the rest of the place has beautiful decor, hand painted walls, pretty chandeliers, it is so cozy, and you can just tell the people here care a lot about their business. the sweet ladies working there are always sooo kind, and funny too! they will make you feel like you're at home, it's awesome this is like, the perfect place to get tea with your friends, they have a wide tea selection, and you get your own little teapot and cups to go with! and the desserts are sooo good, the cakes are my favourite. but if you really like cinnamon rolls, the one they got here is really good too. not crazy sweet, which i like a lot its never crazy busy/loud there either, so if you want a place to catch up with your friend, this is 10000% it. come get some tea and dessert and have fun. the actual lunch options are great too, i always get the french dip. it's super filling so you could totally take some home. anyway, they care a lot here, for the business and for the people supporting it, so come here and check it out !! :)) read more

The idea of the loose leaf tea, coffee and the ambiance of this place is nice, so I thought I'd give it a shot for about an hour of my workday yesterday while I was in the area. I'd never been before. First impressions weren't great as I waited a while to be greeted and during that time I realized it was more of a restaurant than a chill place to order coffee and sit and work, but when someone came, I mentioned it was my first time there and was looking for a coffee place to work for a bit. I asked if they had wifi and was told they do, but then she asked if I had a reservation... no, obviously not. I'm thinking -- "it's my first time here and who makes a reservation for one?" Either there's room or there isn't, I can move on but all but one table in my eye-line was empty at the time so I found this odd. She gave me a table but seemed to do so reluctantly. Like "well I guess I can put you here" Not a very welcoming host imo. The waitress was very nice so the 3 stars are for her. They do have great options on their menu but I only ordered two types of tea to try them out (was there after lunchtime) Lots of options on the menu for this which I liked. On my way out, I paid up front with the same person that seated me. I complimented the place and told her I'd be back again sometime and her response was essentially --hope you make a reservation next time. Jokingly, "If we've learned anything from today". Made me feel unwelcome, as if implying 1 person working quietly there threw off their whole day. It's not like this was a busy place from what I saw so I don't understand that... this was a weekday, after lunchtime and places like this should expect random people to walk in the door just to try out the place. I find it hard to believe I'm the first person to not make a reservation here but that's how this interaction felt to me. Sharing here for anyone looking for what I was looking for in the area, so that it doesn't happen to them too. I honestly just got the feeling they don't like single remote workers in their cafe for some reason. Probably for not ordering a full meal? idk. Just weird all around. read more

What a gem! I had no idea this cute tea house cafe was here! Us ladies dressed up and went out for tea and lunch, and it was all so delicious. Ok, you had us at gelato We were looking for a sweet, relaxed breakfast and found Cafe De Coco--think 1940's French sidewalk cafe but indoors. In a tea room style with multiple small rooms, eclectic decor, surrounded by French murals and art. The service was delightful. The breakfast was heavenly from the first sips of a rich French roast to the maple brown sugar oatmeal with vanilla gelato. Wonderful and highly recommended. read more

Very cute little place, the atmosphere was awesome for a ladies day out. When you walk in it's a little shop with gifts and decor, and the restaurant seating is further back around the corner. Each table has cute mismatched chairs and different colored tablecloths- I would assume the decor would change seasonally. We ordered a large pot of tea ($6), a giant cinnamon roll to share ($8), a kids meal quesadilla ($6) and shared the krab melt ($12). They do charge a dollar to split a plate, but both plates came with fruit and salad so that was nice. The food was good and the prices were a little high, but you're paying partially for the atmosphere. It feels like you're eating in someone's house and it's very quaint and cozy. They have a ton of options for tea and they serve breakfast and lunch. It reminds me of a place we used to go that served "high tea" with little little sandwiches and scones on a tower. They don't have that particular thing here, but it felt like a similar vibe. Definitely a fun place for a group of ladies to have a meal and tea or coffee. We will be back! read more

Stumbled upon this little jewel yesterday. Oh how cute the tables, art, wall paintings are! There is so much to look at and enjoy! The menu is varied and inviting. I tried the tomato and cheese soup (I wish I could remember the cheese) and it was delicious! I also had the tuna sandwich with cucumbers and tomato. I loved that they do NOT add raw onions to the mix as I am allergic, so being able to enjoy the tuna was a treat. The coffee was great as well and the service attentive. Great fun also to shop at the little gift shop after lunch. Many unique items, beautiful cards, etc to choose from if looking for gifts. So I ordered the De Coco plate which is roll-ups, expecting them to be rolled up with Flatbread or a tortilla on the outside. It was just the meat rolled up with a few veg and very little cream cheese! As a bread lover I was highly disappointed. My friend had a salad and it looked much better than my puny plate. The gift shop was much more interesting than the menu. I'll probably be back since my friend loves the place. My advice is to go on a weekday when nothing is going on downtown for easier parking. read more

We went here for the first time for my sister's birthday and we did not expect to love this place so much! The atmosphere, teas, food, and staff were all amazing! The dishes we got were the breakfast quiche, breakfast burrito, BLT, croissant breakfast sandwich, scone, and triple lemon pie. SO GOOD! My French Grandmother would have loved this restaurant! Charming around every corner. Each table unique is lovingly decorated. The gift shop has so many great feminine items. The perfect place for ladies who lunch to meet. My 2 suggestions, have more protein & fresh options on the menu, a bit too much sugar for my taste. Meaning, eggs and fruit please. And... *this is key, the manager should start playing classic french accordion music to add to the Parisian cafe ambiance they seem to be going for. I'm from out of state and was told to try the food here while in town, it did NOT disappoint. The food was delicious, and fast. Their server Katie was so attentive and helpful in making my choices off of the menu (because I'm so indecisive) I had the "Fave" sandwich and it was absolutely delicious, their new cook Gracie made everything so delicious and delightful, I definitely over ate because of how good it was. I've always heard about this place but never dreamt I would set foot in it for any reason until Grams decided we needed to get a double fudge cake and their mouth-watering lemon cake for Gramps' birthday. She had to order it ahead by a few days or else it wouldn't even come to be. When it was time to pick it up, the place is exactly as Gramps described it...frilly and frou frou but it had a charming quality about it. I will always remember his story about when he came with Grams one time to dine in and he overheard another man in there ask his wife if men are allowed in there LOL The staff were very nice and seemed to know my Grams, who doesn't really? Great place to have tea! My favorite's the Estate Darjeeling. They have large and small pot sizes which is wonderful for those who have a difficult time choosing just one type. They also have an awesome brunch menu with soups salads sandwiches and quiche.
