After reading the reviews, looking for mid-week brunch on my way to the beach, I knew I needed to stop in here and try the fig and goat sandwich. It was just as rich and decadent and tasty as others have mentioned. My only complaint is that I think they may have microwaved the bread, and it ended up alternately chewy and crunchy toward the end. Service was super friendly and helpful when they confirmed I had never been there before. I sat inside, but they had cozy sidewalk seating outside too. My sandwich was large enough that I only had space for half while I was there, but the other half made a very good dinner later. I'm gonna have to swing back by and work my way through the menu, too, since everyone has pointed out all the other good stuff. read more

Walked a few blocks from home to come check out one of our local cafes. We came because of the reviews. Most of our local beach town is shut down this Sunday with hurricane Dorian just a day away from us but we called ahead and knew this place was open. Sad to say NEVER AGAIN, will we step foot in this restaurant. I sat at a table inside and let the server know I'd be waiting for a table outside if one opened up & that I was also waiting on one more to join my party. In the mean time I ordered an orange juice. My friend arrived at the same time a table happened to open up outside so as she walked in the door I asked her to grab that table. I went to let our server behind the counter know we'd be moving to that outside table We sit down and the gentleman who comes to clear our table states: "Those people were waiting on this table and they just left because of you." !!!!!!!!!!!!! My heart dropped and we both sat there speechless. I know precisely which couple he was speaking of and they'd been in your establishment for less than 5 minutes. By the time my friend arrived I had been there nearly 20. We got up, I returned my orange juice and still offered to paid for it. He refused my credit card is a snotty tone and my friend dug out a $5 bill to cover the orange juice I had taken one sip of. The man that cleared our table had his nose so high behind the counter, we left totally disgusted and won't ever return. I've worked in restaurants for 15 years and I normally don't EVER feel called to tear a rant like this but I've never felt more disrespected by one of the restaurants in this area. Omg!! Go here for breakfast! We had 2 different quiches. These are made in house. We had the Swiss gruyere & mushroom, and the broccoli and cheddar. Also, iced coffee are yummy! Next, the side of "hash browns" plural - that came to me as one singular oblong hash brown. One that would resemble a McDonald's hash brown. The fruit that came on the side looked like it was days old. Dry, stiff and stale. I'm shocked they would even serve that to someone. Looking for a new place for lunch today and discovered Cafe Brie. OMG! What a wonderful and unique mom/pop eatery! Menu choices were plenty, but the turkey club sandwich and the chicken salad sandwich were delicious. Portions were also very generous. A must visit! read more

The server was very rude. Somehow they couldn't make a banana strawberry crepe for breakfast and pushed a waffle that i did not want.even though they served crepes for breakfast. Wow, this place is awesome. I live in the neighborhood behind here and have never been until last weekend. I have zero complaints. I had the bacon, egg, and cheese on a plain bagel, a coffee, and a side of fruit. It was so good it's like it was made with extra love lol. The service was also awesome. Ask the staff for recommendations, we went with those and they are so amazing that we want to have every meal of our vacation here. Such a great little cafe! The family who owns are amazing. They were very attentive and took time to help us choose our meals. They took such great care of us; they even offered us a little fruit salad for my 14-month old son to mush around in while we waited for our sandwiches... It totally worked.
