This place is amazing, it's like time travel to the 70's upon entering with the whole hippie vibe. The staff is just as chill and inviting as the vibe. The food tastes great, the drink variety is OMG. I took my mom and my kids to do the halotherapy (salt therapy) in "the salt cave" which last for 45 mins and everyone really enjoyed it. I highly recommend doing the salt therapy as it has many medical benefits. This place is truly a magical experience!
I've been here a few times over the years. One cool thing is the salt cave sessions don't expire! And cool that the salt cave is even inside this hippie tea shop and cafe! I took my mom here for Mother's Day and she loved it. The owners were awesome and so helpful. Today I introduced a friend to the cafe and salt cave. Food was really good and young man helped us pick out food. The only thing was we were sort of forgotten about with the salt cave. Our session was for 12 and we headed over at 11:50. It didn't really start until after 12. It was nice of them to provide socks, but they appeared to be used with hair on them. Then after 1 pm we let ourselves out. I'm glad I had my watch. Still a really nice visit.
Beaitiful small business with great vibes! Enjoy a variety of cozy seating areas, a fun dj some nights (check their socials), and cute boutique. All of this a an extensive menue of tea concoctions and a nice offering of bites, and sweet treats. Friendly and helpful staff. Stop in for a while!
HIPPIES UNITE !!! One of the coolest tea rooms with colorful entry points to entice any hippie to strut inside and blend in with the tranquil laid-back ambiance. My wife went bananas over some of the shirts and I was engaged with the retro records and turntables. So many little niches to sprawl out and enjoy a pastry tea or coffee. The private salt room was a nice added touch providing a unique alcove for pure relaxation. The proud owner gave us a brief overview of her peaceful den.
This is a very well-run and unique establishment that adds a lot to the Broward tea/coffee shop scene while helping to build local community. It maxes out on the earthy and eclectic free-spirited vibe, but in a way that somehow doesn't feel awkward to someone like me who typically prefers a more urban, modern, and minimalist aesthetic. I'm not one who drinks tea away from home, so I've only had their espresso drinks, and can vouch that they stand up to anything made by a more focused coffee shop in the area. Christina, the proprietor, is kind, personable, and welcoming. While I don't live close enough to come here on the regular, I'll definitely be back, whether to hang out and do some reading, to try the salt cave, or to check out an open-mic or one of their other community events.
I came back here last Friday and enjoyed a chai latte with a business colleague. Their teas are all made with fresh tea leaves. They have a very large assortment of teas to choose from. They had 2 different chai teas, one had a lot of turmeric added, the other had less spices. The chai was very fragrant. I had to pass on the pastries. The pumpkin pastries and cakes looked amazing.
It's a chilly night in South Fla and i Needed a cup of tea and little nosh to Warm my soul. This cute electric spot is just what the Dr ordered. I was brought back in time to the early 70's with the music and hippie feel. the smell of Lavender in the air and people just chilling brought a welcoming vibe. I sipped my tea and looked at all the cool art and merchandise they sell. love how spiritual this spot is. I will be back to check out the hidden salt room look super cool
An interesting shop to say the least. The back of the shop was bright pink and noticed it while my hubby and I were eating at the South Bar and Kitchen. The sign outside welcomed hippies so of course I entered and felt a calmness and a light scent of incense. Several customers were chilling out on the sofa type seating drinking tea and coffee while I browsed the hippie items including a super soft cool white evil eye bathrobe. The owner was walking around mingling as customers entered. I will come back for a piece of cake and a fragrant tea.
First impressions are everlasting. This is so true! From the moment you walk through the doors to our feel welcomed greeting from the lovely young lady at the counter. Yes! A smile and greeting awaits you as you take In the colors and decorations from the 70s and 80s. Amazing teas and deserts. Let me start from the beginning. I made an appointment for 3, myself and some friends for a salt cave experience. It did not disappoint. I had a lovely lavender eye mask, a fluffy blanket and off I went into a peaceful sleep. My friends loved it and they both felt as rested as I did. We had tea after and some delicious jack fruit patties and pandas. Loved the entire afternoon chatting and taking in the atmosphere. 5 stars in my book
We had a nice experience here. The setting reminded me of stores in the 70's -- something a bit hippy, crystals, incense, scented soaps, eclectic decor, peace sign jewelry, etc. They have over 60 different teas and will pair ailments with the proper one should you desire. My husband just chose an aromatic chai variety to which he added honey. Unfortunately, they had no black teas for me that were caffeine free. But they do have herbals, kombucha, and mushroom drinks... From their food menu, we each chose a couple empanadas. They were served piping hot with some chimichurri sauce. I got a steak and a chicken one. I liked the chicken the best of the two. He got a bacon and plum one and a dessert one -- apple. He liked the bacon one best of his choices. Ed (David?) provided nice service. We had a lovely conversation with one of the other patrons. She and her friend were enjoying warming their feet on hot "rocks" (round half globes on the floor). There's also a salt room in the back. You might enjoy all the artful decorations, paintings, mis-matched furniture. There's something intriguing wherever you look. Even the bathroom! Come for a bite, a relaxing atmosphere, and a healthful tea.
"Hippies have been sighted in the area" This is agreat eclectic array of art, teas, food and a Groovy vibes! I had a wonderful Chai tea and empanada. Bacon and plum and an Apple pie empanada went very well with my tea. Great service and a relaxing meal.
The cutest tea emporium in pompano beach! They also have a salt room you can book, who would have known! I had an iced organic Madagascar vanilla latte, highly recommend. Not sweet, so you could really taste the vanilla. I also got the plum, bacon, mozzarella empanada. I couldn't taste the bacon at all, and the mozzarella made the dough soggy unfortunately. The Peruvian beef had nice flavor but very dry, it came with chimichurri which saved it from the dryness.

This unique place reminds me of some cool spots I've been to in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Memphis probably because it's in a refurbished old building. They feature local art work that's for sale, and the seating areas are so inviting. While you can get your drinks to go, I highly recommend planning to stay for some time and just enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and vibe. The woman behind the counter was very lovely and made recommendations to me. I honestly can't remember what iced tea I purchased because I let her make me something based on how I was feeling in that moment. I can say that it was nice and refreshing... and honestly just what I needed in that moment. Is she the Tea Whisperer?! My husband loved their kombucha. We also got a piece of cinnamon cake to share. This spot has so many delicious local bakery items that are not to be missed. Aside from the dining area, there is a cute store and a salt room. The Soulful Steep has many events, so be sure to check out their calendar. I believe they are typically open till 9 PM. I will be back because I want to try the apple layered cake and let the "Tea Whisperer" choose my next drink! Thanks!
I met a friend at Soulful Steep in Pompano Beach this past Sunday, and I'm so glad I finally stopped in! I had passed the back of the establishment many times, and it always piqued my interest. Inside, it's such a unique, cozy space, with couches, colorful pillows, interesting decorations, and plenty of different seating areas. They have a huge selection of teas, coffee drinks, and pastries. There are also games available, and my friend and I enjoyed playing Jenga while we chatted! The two women at the front were so welcoming and informative. They took the time to explain the teas and other offerings and even gave us a tour of the Himalayan salt room, sharing information about the rates and sound baths. It feels like a wonderful spot to meet a friend, sit and talk, or get some work done. The whole atmosphere was comfortable and inviting. I would definitely love to return and encourage others to stop by and see all they have to offer! read more
Really terrific tea shop with food in old downtown area of Pompano. There's a terrific hippie vibe. The ambience both outside and inside is pretty groovy in a fun hippy sort of way. Inside is quaint and cozy with comfortable seats. There's a large free lot just to the southeast. Service was terrific. The counter staffers are funny and fast. The owner came over just to chat and checked in a couple of times to be sure all was ok. Food was also terrific. Both of my empanadas (one shepherds pie and the other apple) were very dry very good. read more

This Cafe Absolutely loved The Soulful Steep! Such a unique and hip little spot with so much personality. The atmosphere is warm, creative, and inviting. Everything is healthy ! Perfect for the crunchy girl. I took my baby here and I loved how casual it is so he could crawl around and there was so much for him to look at . friendly service. How cute is this place! I only came once since I'm not from the area. Everyone was very happy with their drinks, but I have to rave about their desserts. It seems they get them from the local community. Anything you get will be delicious. We got the cinnamon roll and pecan tart, both were so good. After it that, I was tempted to have one of their cakes. Wish I could have taken more pictures. The owner was so helpful and welcoming, highly recommend. read more
What an awesome place. Its so cute inside. They have teas, lattes, coffee, empanadas, bakery items. Apparently they have a salt cave too. I'll definitely check that out next time. I only had an hour to kill anyways. I did have the lavender latte. It was delicious. They do not use syrups, they use the natural ingredient to make the flavor. It's a very eccentric place, mis matched cool vibe. They also sell local artists items along other items for sale. I believe the employee told me they have an herbalist there for the tea blends etc. Local bakers items are sold there as well. GF, no sugar added, vegan bakery items. I was in Pompano Beach picking up a taxidermy fish from Gray Taxidermy. Since I was in the area, I checked out options for coffee. I love a unique coffee shop and stumbled upon The Soulful Steep as an option. I was sold right away just from the photos I saw on Yelp. Funny enough, it was only 5 minutes away from where I was. There is plenty of street parking available right in front of The Soulful Steep. When you walk into the space, its almost like you've been transported to this cool and magical world. It's hard not to be mesmerized by all the details and eclectic decor. The space is really cool with lots going on, but it makes for an interesting tour just walking around so you can take it all in. Met the owner John, who was engaging from the moment I walked in. Very friendly guy and so personable. He guided me to Maya, who assisted with my order. They had special coffee & tea option, empanadas, wellingtons, and plenty of mouthwatering desserts on display. How does one even choose?!? Lol. Maya was wonderful and she did a great job explaining the menu and options to me. Very sweet and so patient. I ended up getting the specialty superfood lavender latte with two shots of espresso and a Peruvian chicken empanada with chimichurri. The specialty superfood latte was interesting. It was good, but it was a little different in texture or flavor vs a regular coffee latte. The empanada was pretty bomb! The chimichurri really added so much flavor to the empanada and complemented it well. Before I got my food and drink, John was nice enough to give me a small tour of the space. It was so nice to hear the story of how they came up with the inspiration for this place. Would you believe there is a Salt Cave towards the back of the place too? It's like a secret bat cave! So cool. It was actually wild. I really need to come back here to do this salt cave as it sounds so relaxing and just what I need. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time today to do it today. He showed me the back patio area too where they just completed an art mural. I also got to meet Christina, John's wife and the other owner of The Soulful Steep. I knew right away Christina was the other half as she came into the shop and immediately picked up my empty plate. I asked if she was one of the owners and she said yes. I also asked if she was John's wife and she said yes. Haha. She was very sweet and friendly and we chatted a bit about the place. I also noticed the Pompano Beach magazine that had her on the cover. Nice article for the place! I got to squeeze in some work and chill time. This spot was the perfect little coffee shop. So different and so eclectic. Not your typical Starbucks or basic coffee spot. John & Christina are great and they are so great engaging with their customers. It's so refreshing to see! The Soulful Steep has been open for 6 months now so they are still quite new. If you're in the Pompano Beach area, come by and check out the space. Tell them I sent you! It's really cool here. I'll be back for that Salt Cave!!! read more

This store is in another dimension. When you open the door, you are transported to the most cozy place in Broward County. The variety of tea, beverages and bakery goods are very impressive. Dog friendly, activities, patio and a salt cave and a very mini store with lots of beautiful handmade items. read more

Really cute Tea shop with a large variety of teas. My friend and I went to the shop for an event they were having, while we waited we tried a tea and some of their locally bought empanadas. The amount of tea they have is overwhelming but the barista can tell you exactly what's in the tea and what it will do for you if you give them what you are looking for. Being pregnant I was not able to have a lot of them but they did have 3 specific pregnancy safe blends on hand. The shop has a spiritual vibe, which is pretty relaxing. Christina the owner is SO nice and welcoming and. We were glad we went and look forward to trying more teas soon. Plenty of parking available. read more
I've been watching this place build out the space for months and am so happy it's open. It's a great addition to downtown Pompano. They have over 50 loose teas to choose from. I had a chai and my friend had a green tea. 2 teas were $12. They have baked goods. The atmosphere is super chill and fun. There are many relaxing areas to hangout. Free parking along the street. I just discovered this rockin' eclectic colorfully & artfully decorated hippie style cafe where I can sit & do some manifestation writing while sipping my favorite, the Blue Lotus Lavender Latte, a difficult choice yo make from a fabulous menu of healthy crafted drinks, local cakes, pastries, cookies, empanadas & a mini menu of other yummies! There is a corner with cool stuff to buy highlighting local artwork, things yo to wear, jewelry (always my fav!), and even doggie treats & doggie bandanas! Tonite, Friday, there's a stage set up with tables & chairs on the back patio with an excellent band (free!) You can bring your own folding chairs if you like. Tonites band "THE FLYERS" are really great musicians that had us up dancing! Before I forget one of the owners is a professional DJ with turntables & classic vinyl set up mid cafe which he likes to spin! But wait, there's more! If that's not enough they have a HIMALAYAN PINK SALT ROOM - dimly lit with a sound bath piped in, it's heavenly! I just bought a few 45 minute sessions! It's healthy for the respiratory system which nourishes other systems, the skin, or just everything with negative ions, known to lower inflammation, but for me Im going for the psyche, relaxation! This girl needs to destress! Can't wait to book my first session,I know I'll be a regular! I initially stumbled upon this spot via social media right when they opened & knew I had to see it for myself. That said, I've been here twice since ( &only because it isn't down the street from me or I'd definitely be a regular). Nevertheless, it is a funky/zen den that no doubt serves as an escape from the day to day grind. You can easily pop in for a freshly made bite/drink (plenty of on street/free parking) or sit & soak in the vibes over a book,etc. There are several nooks for sitting spread throughout so seating isn't a problem (indoor & outdoor). Also, consider yourself warned, they have an adorably curated collection of artisanal crafts and bohemian-esque pieces (from wall art to necklaces to candles, etc.) that are sure to catch your eye & keep you (& in my case my ADHD) more than entertained! As if that wasn't enough, they sold me with a tour of their salt cave amenity (purchased separately) & their mention of upcoming events/workshops, etc. to be hosted in the space. Safe to say, this gem has got a little something for everyone & will. not. disappoint. read more

All I gotta say is, I wish this place was in existence when I was living in Pompano, but I will gladly commute a half an hour from Coral Springs each day just for some great tea, service and such a tranquil atmosphere! I drove past the location when they were about to close and came back the very next evening invited three of my friends to meet me there and what an experience! I gotta say that our truly delightful experience was solely attributed to our Attentive and professional and extremely helpful barista, Maya. She took us on a tour and quite honestly, I'm writing this review the very next day as I'm on my way back there have a little quiet time and rest and relaxation on my own while checking out that salt room experience. Maya truly made our experience special and the drinks, tea were super super affordable. read more
