A friend who lives in Cotati took me to this place. It was fantastic! We had a wonderful lunch on the outdoor patio. I'm vegan and was able to find plenty of options. I had the felafel wrap sandwich, which was really tasty! I wasn't really expecting a felafel wrap to taste so good, but it had hummus, pickles, tomato, eggplant, and some kind of yummy slaw, and it all just came together perfectly. Amazing food and service! We came from Southern California and I had forgotten my bank card to purchase a soda. The owner gave me a soda for free. We had ordered the falafel wrap, falafel plate, and a chicken kabob plate. We placed our order online, it was quick and easy. We came here on a Monday for a late breakfast and had a great meal with drinks. We order some veggie breakfast items a veggie Benedict and a garden hash. They came out at the same time were beautifully presented and most importantly tasted great. I ordered a chicken friend steak meal, asked for my potatoes extra crispy. When they got to the table the eggs were cold to the touch, potatoes tasted raw and it came with a biscuit so soggy that it felt like the crew dropped in the dish pit and said here you go. When I addressed the problem the OWNER disregarded everything I said and told me I should have told him sooner to remake my food even though there was no one on the floor to bring this up to. The only item I ate was the chicken fried steak, and they took 7$ off the meal for eggs that they charge 6$ per side and potatoes were 5$ per side. Do not recommend, terrible food and even worse service. This spot is delicious! I had the Schwarma nachos (completely hand made twist of nachos) everything was fresh and delicious. My boyfriend had some kind of meat with sauce he loved it but my nachos were his favorite as well because we've never had a twist on regular nachos like that!! They were amazing. I've been to Zaina's for lunch and the food has always been delicious! The gyros are my favorite. Today I tried breakfast and was only slightly disappointed (how do you rate 4 1/2 stars??). I ordered Huevos Rancheros and it was so delicious, I cleaned my plate. I'm taking 1/2 star off because they only have hot or hotter salsa sauce- not everyone likes hot! I would've preferred a mild sauce but none was available. Otherwise this restaurant is easy to find, easy parking, reasonable prices, clean and has wonderful food! Did I mention mimosas?? Delicious! I also enjoyed the quiet, compared to Marvin's for breakfast. There was one issue I forgot to add: Zaina's adds a 3% fee is you pay with a card and not cash. Come on! Many many people pay with cards now! This is disrespectful to customers who choose to pay non-cash to patronize your restaurant- like saying come to eat but only if you have cash. Take the fee away! No one else charges this ridiculous fee. read more
