I live a block from this fine coffee cart and go out of my way to walk by it on my way to the bus twice a week before class, and even at 6:45 AM the girl is out there in the cold, smiling, and asking why I'm up so early! All the employees are polite, and even when they are super rushed (which is a lot because a bellacino is pure heaven) they don't make me feel rushed or like i'm an inconvenience. I love that i can walk to this place from my apartment! The service here is excellent and the ladies are very friendly. The selection is great and they have a few seats right next to it to hang out for a bit. They do have drive-thru available or you can walk right up and order. Super friendly and attentive women working there. IT can be walk-up or even drive through, which makes the morning snack/tea/coffee run fast and easy. My fave is that they have Acai Bowls. They are tasty and healthy and HUGE! They always have some nice music playing, are incredibly nice, and have a variety of offereings. Cash only, which should not be surprising for a drive up coffee stand....but something to keep in mind. I will be back many many more times. read more

I'm not a real coffee drinker but I enjoy a sugary caffeine beverage sometimes. At Cafe Bella I always go for a chai latte. They have multiple flavors, vanilla, raspberry, chocolate, etc. and each one is SO good. I would pick their chai over anyone else in SD. I only wish they had a storefront so I could pick them as my coffee shop when I need to work. The girls are always so sweet and friendly. So worth a stop!! read more

I'm sorry to say but worst acai bowl I've ever had. I was so disappointed. It was watery, not even frozen. The acai bowl also did not even taste like acai, more like a berry smoothie. I ordered peanut butter and for $1 there was barely even a drizzle. Very disappointing. Don't know how an Acai bowl could be any worse. read more

My husband works in the area and recommended this place for açaí bowls. I love that it is drive up service. This is so helpful for a busy mom with little ones and doggies on their way to the beach. The bowls were just the right size and delicious! I had the ocean beach bowl which is dragon fruit and covered in mangos!!! My daughter had a classic açaí bowl which was equally delish. I thought the price was affordable, the service friendly, and a treat we will make a tradition of getting on the way to dog beach. read more

We come here whenever we can. This place is very convenient for us and on my way to work. The ladies are friendly and we've never had to wait long for our coffees. They've even made good alternative suggestions for my fiance, who likes new things. I love getting my bagels here because they are never stingy with the cream cheese--I love cream cheese!! This place has delicious food, but the service is so slow. I've been here multiple times and it's always the same experience. The staff is friendly, but absent. I work in the industry so I understand the stress of an unexpected rush, but it appears to be a consistent issue. Unless you have two hours for dinner, look elsewhere. read more

I love coming here on the weekends after hitting dog beach, service is always top notch. Micky and Nicole are usually working when I come here and always make me smile and laugh while making me my coffees, and pamper my pup with dog treats. You can't ask for better service. Stayed at a beach condo in OB, equidistant to Starbucks and Cafe Bella. I do love Starbucks, but Cafe Bella had the better tasting coffee and eats, and definitely friendlier service. They are deserving of your business. read more

I love this place. I have been coming here for years. While there may be better quality coffee in town, it is still really good and the girls are amazing. Nicole and Micki always know what I want. They are fast, efficient and are ALWAYS smiling and joking around. The staff always go above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable. If it weren't for them, I'd go elsewhere.
