The good: The vibes in here are spectacular. The decor is really fun and trendy. The vintage couches, the bar area, the lawn games and the spacious room make this place a great hangout spot. They have outdoor seating as well. They are located next to the beach so it's a nice spot to get a refreshing dessert or breakfast before heading to the beach. I got the tropics bowl and enjoyed it as a healthier dessert option. The bad: I ordered a kombucha but they didn't have anymore. The acai bowl was good but not the best I've ever had. I wish there were more topping offerings but I think I've been spoiled by acai places like Blue Bowl that have endless toppings. The cashier wasn't particularly friendly or welcoming. The interesting: I noticed several people here getting work done on their laptops. We originally went to another acai bowl place before this one but the wait was long and the worker used his bare hands to hold fistfuls of unwashed fruit so we came here instead. How they made their bowls I am unsure because it wasn't viewable.

Tropics Bowl

Such a cute little place! I had the Tropics açaí bowl which smacked and helped cool me down right after my jog. The staff is kind and the place is well-kept and clean. They also have a water dispenser and restrooms which is a plus. I want to come back and try their smoothies which also sounded delicious. Recommend!

Stopped by here on a bike ride around the bay after seeing that they offered vegan options. While they current only offer a few sandwich options, all three sounded delicious. I opted for the Wild N' Free panini on focaccia with cheddar cheese, arugula, sun-dried tomatoes, and vegetarise mayo. It was almost like an adult/upgraded grilled cheese, so good!! Blended with coconut milk, dragon fruit, banana, pineapple, and agave, the Tink Smoothie was the perfect pick me up that gave me a boost of energy to finish my ride. Employees were very nice and the food came fairly quickly considering the smaller size of the kitchen area. While this location makes it easy to grab food to take too the park or bay, the decor is so cute that I actually wanted to dine in! Love this place! Looking forward to trying new paninis and smoothies next time!

The service was great the matcha and tropical bowl was delicious. This cafe is really cute and relaxing across from the beach and bay...

***Best açaí bowl in San Diego *** If you are in the Mission Beach area (near Belmont Park) stop by here. We came upon it as a pit stop on our bike journey around Mission Bay. What a surprise and great reward! Great selection of açaí bowls of various sizes. Smoothies, toasts, paninis, coffee, and more. Friendly service with a smile and lots of comfy seating spots in a large cozy space. Great place to hang and chill + relax. Oh, and did I say they have the best açai bowls in San Diego!!!

Visited with my bestie (aka 9yo daughter) who loves Acai bowls as much as I do. We like to share one every time we're in a beach town. I'd like to try them everywhere but $$$$. This one was $13 and some change with tax and tip. Agave instead of honey. Out of blueberries, but we like strawberries more anyway, so that was okay. I rate it a B+. We're spoiled and have had Acai in Hawaii and all over the place. It was a bit too sweet and more granola than I would've liked. We prefer heavy Acai, light granola, heavy fruit. Maybe I should specify to the makers. We make them at home with the pure stuff and they're a little bitter, which we love. Was good, but would try another place for variety's sake next time. Great central location to Belmont and the park.

Chagaccino 16 oz. Latte and Tropics Bowl

Super cutesy cafe ! I got the chagaccino latte and tropics açaí bowl. Both were super yummy and the latte wasn't too sweet and not bitter at all. The cafe also had lots of sitting and outlets. Workers were also very friendly.

i am so obsessed with this place and it is so underrated! the acai bowls here are SO good and there are so many food options to choose from. i personally love getting the chagaccino (mushroom coffee) it is SO delicious!! the place is super cute and not too busy (from what i've seen). i always seem to run into the same worker, i'm not sure what her name is but she is so kind and always asks me about my day!! i 100% recommend this as a go to coffee or brunch spot

Mission Possible (it's twice this size)

I loved the Mission Possible, the combo of avocado and tempeh was so delicious. Ambience is great inside too.

When you come to the beach you sometimes crave something cold, savory, and healthy. Cafe Tropics has a variety of options and I went with the mermaid bowl (pitaya, matcha, and coconut base), with granola and its fruit toppings. Chefs kiss Service was quick and the food was out in no time. I would say it wasn't as welcoming as I would hope so early on in the afternoon. However, days happen and the food was amazing. The setting of this place is cute and chic. Lots of open spots to sit and hang with your friends . I believe they are dog friendly so hit up the boardwalk and stop by for a light lunch .

Best panini and best Acai bowl we've ever tasted and we're Acai fanatics. I've never had tempeh bak'n and was hesitant but the man at the front told us it was delicious and we loved it. The staff was super nice and friendly. They prided themselves on serving fresh and quality ingredients, which we appreciated.

Mission possible sandwich,strawberry/coco smoothie chia pudding w/fresh fruit salad all good choices!!

Don't blink or you'll miss this teeny, adorable coffee cart…read more My fiancé and I were craving a cup of coffee after a leisurely stroll along Mission Beach on a random Saturday morning....where to go that isn't Starbucks? Lazy Eye to the rescue! Lazy Eye is sandwiched between two buildings with one table out front. It's a to-go place. When you're that close to the beach, who wants to be inside anyway? While they do offer regular brewed coffee, I'm pretty certain their specialty is all the delicious frou-frou coffee drinks. I usually don't go for them, but today, I was in the mood for it. Their milk chocolate mocha with light ice was delicious It made me very happy and our pup was super happy with the treat they gave him. They have a small bakery display which I passed on since we were getting brunch soon, but I'm sure there's something for everyone there. This location is open 7 days a week- 6:30am-1pm. Limited street parking as expected...it's Mission Beach. 5 stars! Check them out!

The staff here are incredibly kind and personable. They make everyone feel like a regular, even if you are just visiting the area. One of the best parts is their creative latte menu. The flavors are made in house and they rotate them seasonally, so there's always something new to try. I had to go for the banana bread latte because it sounded so unique, and it was amazing. Seriously so good and perfectly balanced. Such a fun little pre beach walk coffee stop with friendly staff and creative drinks.
