Love the location and the ambiance at Coronado Coffee Co.. Unfortunately, I am less than impressed with the prices versus the product. I've come in here 5-6 times since the opening, since I live in the neighborhood, and while everything is delicious, the prices are absurd. I came in one morning to grab a hot mint tea and paid close to $5 for hot water and a teabag. This morning I wanted something to eat for breakfast quickly so I decided to grab the parfait-- hesitantly, as I was mentally getting over the fact that I was about to pay over $7 for a cup of yogurt. (medium iced drink with an extra shot + parfait = $15 without tip)! i got my parfait and left before I realized how truly ripped off I got. For $7, I could've and should've gone to the grocery store to get a QUART of yogurt (based on local market prices). Instead, I received a glorified fruit cup with a hefty serving of granola (pretty yummy, fortunately). If I had to measure, I'd guess it was about a 6oz serving of yogurt with the fruit, in a 16-20 oz cup! I was eating a fruit cup! For more than $7! The parfaits from my college dining hall were more generous than that. If you don't want to discourage patrons from contributing to local businesses REGULARLY instead of the nearby larger & cheaper franchises, the menu prices need to reflect that. Love ya lots and I will be back when I can afford to splurge on yogurt. read more

Came here after having lunch and it was phenomenal. I got a iced Carmel macchiato and my wife got a iced dirty Chai late. We both got the 20oz which is the largest size. It was about $6.50 for the Carmel late amd $6.75 for the late. The ladies were very friendly and the coffee came out very quickly. Probably less than 5min. Both drinks were great. My wife said it was the best dirty chai she has ever had. Mine was very good too. They have a few spots for street parking but not much. They dont have a parking lot at all. They have a lot of seating outside. None inside. They probably have about 4 tables outside with a couple of chairs for those that would like to sit for a minute. Good spot. We'll probably be back if we are ever in SD again. Check this place out! read more

I live about five minutes from this location, and this morning, I stopped by to get an Americano and an açaí bowl. I found street parking, and walked over with my adorable dog. We waited in line behind the couple in front of us for about five minutes while they chatted with the cashier. Then they moved over when their items were ready. There did not seem to be any urgency behind the counter or consistency in the way that customers are attended to at this coffee spot. The cashier took my order, made no small talk and, and then I moved out of the way. I believe the owner / manager made my açaí bowl, and when I asked for it to be covered, he kind of nodded, and then wrapped it in plastic wrap and stuck it in a bag. He was not friendly in the slightest. I skedaddled out of there as fast as possible. There is outdoor seating, but I decided that I'd rather bring my items home. So, let's just say that the service was perfunctory, and I did not feel particularly welcomed. They have a huge wall of puppy-razzi photos where they take pics of the dogs that come in... did they offer to take a pic of my beautiful Cali girl? No, they surely did not. I mean do they have to, no... but when you have the world's cutest blue and white pit bull walk into your shop, and you pay no attention to her.... that's a party foul, for sure!! The iced Americano was strong and adequate. The small açaí bowl with strawberries, bananas, granola, honey & peanut butter was tasty, and totally unremarkable. The price was extremely high $22.14 (including tax and a 15% tip) even for this area. So did I think this place looked cute from the outside? Sure. Will I come back? Not likely. For me, this place was definitely a disappointment because I'd rather spend my $ somewhere where I feel welcome and seen. Peace. read more

Coronado Coffee Co opened a shop on Rosecrans and Byron in Point Loma. The OG shop is in Coronado. This cafe is next to Mr Moto's pizza and UPS Store with limited free parking inside the lot. There's outdoor and indoor seating. Their menu list of drink creations is extensive. Also offers pastries and açai bowls, which is part of a hour happy special from 4-7p. Although I already had my homemade cup of espresso, I did order an iced Americano with Stevia in the Raw and the coffee was strong and refreshing just like Way like it. The shop was clean and the best part was the super nice and friendly staff who were so welcoming towards me and my pup Fendi. They even took a Polaroid pic of Fendi to post on their Puppy Razzi wall. With such a positive first impression, we plan to return and highly encourage you to visit this fantastic cafe. Recommend! read more

The turkey bacon avocado on sourdough bread is as excellent! Bread toasted perfectly and turkey juicy and full of flavor. Luis was the best host and my guest was very satisfied with her iced latte and sandwich! It was a sunny clear afternoon to sit outside on the patio! read more

I was so excited to see that we have a new little coffee spot on our street. I needed a little pick me up and walked over from my office which is only a 5 minute walk, so convenient. It was a really beautiful day out too so I grabbed myself an iced chai latte, the cashier was really friendly and it looked like you can buy their day old pastries at a lesser cost! Since I just ordered pizza next door I wasn't able to try their sandwiches or pastries but I will have to get a sweet little treat next time I'm there. The cashier gave me a little punch card after my order and my drink came out so quickly. There isn't seating inside but they do have plenty outside and they were really busy and packed outside. My drink was perfect, didn't need any sweeteners it was just right. Definitely gonna come back! read more

They always say there's an exception to the rule and I think I found one. The rule being most good coffee shops are closed by 4 PM and after that you're stuck with Starbucks. That was until I found this shop. I live in Point Loma not too far from this shop and I came across it randomly one night, ironically enough on my way to Starbucks around 6 PM. The staff was friendly, parking at that time of day was easy (not sure about regular business hours) and the coffee was way better than going through some drive-through. I have a local coffee shop that I go to, but it is great to know if I miss that 3 PM deadline, I now have another spot to frequent. Well done Coronado Coffee Co. read more

Coronado Coffee Co. is a cute coffee spot and very new to Point Loma. There is very limited seating so to-go orders would definitely be preferred in my opinion. They do serve light breakfast pastries, but they also have smoothies, açaí bowls, and fresh deli style sandwiches. I tried the Kyrptonite cold brew coffee and the barista warned me it was quite strong. She was not lying- it's supercharged cold brew! It also has a minty flavor to it which was not my favorite. I'd love to come back and try their seasonal menu as they had so many creative lattes available to try. read more

There's also a really nice view down towards shelter Island Drive at the corner of Rosecrans and there's front door seating with 6 tables and shade and umbrellas and we need places like this in the point Loma area that are open later for GEN XER people who are in their 50s that like to hang out and don't want to get drunk, so thank you Coronado coffee company. I love this new coffee shop in Point Loma! They are right on Rosecrans and have a really rad corner spot with street parking only. There is a couch inside and some tables and chairs outside! They were covered, so when I came by today (a week after their opening), I was able to sit outside and enjoy my book and stay dry while it was raining! I didn't look for outlets, but since the tables are small and all the seating is outside, I don't feel like it would great to hang out and work all day on a computer. They just opened, but their current hours are 6am-7pm. I just had a regular coffee because I'd already eaten, but the coffee was very good. The girl also gave me a punch card to get your tenth cup free! The menu does look very good; they had pastries and sandwiches and acai bowls in addition to their coffee menu. The tables around me all really liked their lattes and food; I was told the banana bread is legit, so I'll have to try that next time! read more

I went to drop off my UPS packages on a Sunny day and saw the Coronado Coffee Co, I wanted try this place for the first time. When walking outside they had some nice chairs outside for customers to sit outside, and went walking inside there were some nice staff members who welcomed me in, and the inside was very nice, they had an LED Sign with some plants and a couch for a photo area, they also had some of their own merchandise on the side with branded T Shirts. The menus were also pretty creative too, they had a beach background on one of the menus and the text looked great!! I got a Cinnamon Roll warmed up since I do not drink coffee, I like the pastry's when I go to any coffee shop. It was a pretty good deal too it was only $4.35 I gave them a tip to help support their new business .It also smelled very yummy and delicious. I took a bite, and the Cinnamon roll was super good . It reminded me of my grandmas sticky buns a bit. I recommend this place if you like cool, calm, and nice vibes with a little beach theme in a coffee shop. Keep up the good work!! read more

Great coffee, acai bowls and the puparazzi walk is so cute! The Point Loma neighborhood reminds me of Bixby Knolls, Long Beach!

I'm obsessed with their matcha. I've had matcha before but never this good. One mid day i strolled by and I wanted something warm but didn't want a ton of coffee so I ordered the matcha and now I'm hooked. I think I've been back at least 3 or 4 times just for the matcha. I'm curious to how their food is though, I have yet to try! The staff is always sweet and kind. It's very clean and inviting. I loved their Xmas decor but it also feels so fresh and alive on that corner. Great spot! read more
