This is a really big space so if you want to come with your laptop or a book and work its a good spot. My husband and I were here this past Sunday morning we both ordered americanos, I ordered a spinach and feta stuffed croissant and my husband ordered a jalapeno stuff croissant. They are really tasty! My first time having stuffed croissants actually. And the Barista was super nice and hospitable too. I really wanted to like this little coffee shop/truck stand but here is why they didn't get a five star: I ordered a breakfast croissant with bacon, it had cheese and egg. The bacon did not taste fresh, I know she was NOT cooking up a storm to make bacon. The croissant was falling apart extra flaky and again it didn't taste fresh? The vanilla latte I got was alright; the coffee was not strong enough for me. Overall, a convenient stop if you are in desperate need of caffeine or a quick bite. read more

I'm a little torn on this place. I loved the atmosphere and the staff were friendly and helpful. They also were sweet enough to give my puppy a treat. But the problem isn't the atmosphere or staff for me, it was the coffee and pricing. I got a dirty chai with added oat milk. The extra charge for oat milk was $1.65, which is steep. The chai itself didn't taste much like chai at all either. Other then the cinnamon on top, there wasn't much flavor. and the coffee was not strong either. Overall I was disappointed but I am hoping to try again in the future. Hopefully I will have an updated review. read more

I saw this place and it looks like a good place to eat. My first time going to Cafe Bella.. The ambiance is nice other than that the food that I ordered was horrible! The Caprese Empanada doesn't look like empanada it was flat, greasy and looks old after they reheated it. The Turkey Cheese stuffed Croissant was not even a Croissant. Same price (if not a few cents cheaper, even after a tip) as Starbucks, but 100000 Xs better! It's a food truck full of coffee, smoothies, and açaí that only has 2 workers inside, so if there's a line, it'll take a bit, but it's worth the wait! We got larges of the Vietnamese iced coffee and the mocha cold brew. Both were perfectly sweet, but not too much, and the coffee was strong. We'd sat in over 2.5 hours of traffic down from LA, and went to the beach all day with a toddler, and these coffees were our saving grace to make it until 10pm lol. Made a quick pit stop for a refreshing drink on a warm weekday afternoon around 5pm. I went with The Refresher which consist of cucumber, kale, banana, mango, and coconut water. It was certainly refreshing. I thought the combination of ingredients were well thought of. I didn't order anything to eat. Its more of grab and go type of place although there is a few small tables with chairs you can sit and people watch as you sip on your drink / eat your bowls. It opens at 5am and closes at 7pm. It's by the beach so its perfect to grab something and then go put your feet in the sand. Staff is pretty chill. Work hard to get your stuff pretty quickly. I think their smoothies look more appetizing than their coffee which feels sorta basic. For that reason, it lost a point in my eyes. However, it is relatively cheap, and so, it's definitely worth a try and if you dont like it, it's still cheap enough to try it again. read more

Such a beautiful clean coffee shop. I love the charming surf board decor and the large area of seating, very nice and spacious for someone who enjoys their privacy while conversing among friends. The woman on staff was super delightful at the register, and I really enjoyed the coffee and variety on the menu. Really delicious açaí bowl and pretty good matcha. I haven't tried their coffee and I can't vouch for that but I really enjoyed their matcha. I don't think it was ceremonial grade but it had a good sweetness (similar to a starbucks matcha) and was almost vanilla-y. The bella bowl portion was super big and it was delicious. This used to be my go to for morning Java, but they seem to be always going thru the girls that work there, so they can be very rushed, busy at times and not friendly. The other thing I am not a fan of are the little pay machine tablets they hand you that is asking for. tip which is before I even get served or taste my order. It's like they think tipping is an automatic right. You have to earn a tip in my book, before I'm going to tip. I got my daughter a smoothie from here the very berry splash. I don't know if they used expired coconut water or if the fruit was bad. My daughter drank most of it while we explored ob and began to feel sick. She ended up puking up the smoothie and immediately feeling better. I tried the remaining smoothie and it tasted sour and not because of the raspberries, something was rotten. Service was nice and fast! And honestly it's a great looking place to hangout. They even have ping pong! But if the food is making people SICK none of that matters. I hope they implement better systems to prevent this in future because I'd like to be able to come back and give them another try. read more

I love the smoothies at cafe Bella! It's my go to smoothie spot after a good yoga workout at yoga box. It's a few blocks away, walking distance from the OB Yoga Box. I always order The Hulk. We've been here so many times and it's always good. Most of the time it's great. But on the odd occasion, the bowls are much smaller, much less açai and less toppings. Usually the bowls are full to the top. If you see the photos I've uploaded you'll see the significant difference in the bowls. Regardless, we loooove the açai bowls here and will be back again and again. The açai isn't too strong and typically has a great texture. Toppings are always fresh. My husbands fave is the Bella bowl and I always get the 16oz açai with peanut butter. Our favorite breakfast in OB. read more
