Five stars for the service, but the iced coffee and açaí bowl weren't my favorite. Maybe other items are better.

Was really craving a matcha latte after seeing people walking with them so decided to come give this stand a try. It was a bit too milky for me, but still pretty good. I tried my friend's Vietnamese iced coffee which was actually better than ones I have had from many Vietnamese restaurants. While waiting in my car in line, one of the young ladies was talking to the customer in front of me about her personal itinerary for I believe it was spring break going to Australia or South Africa or something.... she went on and on and on and on... when she came to me to take my order, I was a little taken back by having to wait so long when I was in a hurry to go to work/volunteer. I still went in 3 to 5 times a week... not now! A month and a half later (a week ago) I bought a coffee went to my position and ended up spending 3 to 4 hours on the toilet.... Absolutely disgusted!!! Something I don't ever do? The manager says he's gonna write her up... she actually needs to be fired! Been past due for a review of my favorite small business coffee shops in OB. All I can speak for is the iced coffee. It's quick, most of the time good when it doesn't have the coffee grounds in it, and right around the corner from my place and the beach. Well the coffee is good, my review is regarding the group of young girls that work here. The coffee shop comes in waves with girls in the 4 years I've been a customer. In this new wave of gals, I had a consistent awful attitude from a blonde with the name of BROOKE. Dare a customer ask her for anything else that will make her walk back to grab. She has the ugliest attitude and VERY POOR customer service. Ive experienced her attitude almost every time she's been there. Not sure how attitudes like this are getting employed by such a popular coffee shop. I also just experienced another rude barista, I would be happy to provide the name but the baristas and others working refused to give a name due to "privacy concerns". Or because they dont want their name posted on a review for management to see. The interaction was similar to what another reviewer shared. She brought the coffee, stared at me, didn't speak 1 word. Not so much as a thank you, goodbye, or anything else. Stood their silently and awkwardly with a smirk on her face. I had to ask her if there was anything else needed as she stood at my car door. It was very awkward, rude, and goes to show the level of immaturity and lack of customer service these young girls possess. You are in the business of service. If you dont like to provide good positive customer service to people. Do NOT work in a customer facing role in a popular coffee shop near a main beach. I hope the owners take action with the kind of girls they are hiring. I had only had it one other time so I was curious to see if my second try at this drink would be a hit! It only took a few minutes to make. The London fog was delicious. They use Stash earl grey tea, and there was a slight citrusy note to the tea mixed with the steamed milk and vanilla syrup. The drink will come to you with tea bag left in the cup so as a side note, be sure to remove your tea bag after you've gotten the perfect amount of brewing since the longer you keep it in the cup the more chance you'll oversteep the tea, changing the flavor so that it can potentially become more astringent and bitter. read more

I decided to try this place because I was in the neighborhood of Ocean Beach, it's a cute little portable truck on the street that is super walkable. There was no line so we decided to come here and they were fast. I ordered the iced Vietnamese coffee and it was good. It's only espresso shots and sweetened condensed milk and it was the perfect amount. I also ordered a salmon bagel with a jalapeño cheddar bagel. It had cream cheese, spinach, and tomatoes on it, it was pretty good maybe I would like my bagel more toasted but overall this place nine out of 10 and I probably will come back for an iced coffee. there is some seating area outside limited to two tables but there's plenty sitting around the neighborhood and I even was able to bring my dog since the outdoor coffee shop. I usually enjoy going to the Bella carts at both locations. Not sure how the ingredients are handled/ stored for this cart, my husband & mother-in-law got some kind food poisoning from this cart. Both drank a sunshine smoothie from the coffee cart located by the car wash on Volitaire & right after (same day) had chills, nausea, vomiting, & diarrhea.
