I got the twopac shakur and that has açaí, pitaya, granola, honey, strawberry, blueberry, and banana. When I got my order, I was very confused. As you see in the photo, it comes in a tall container unmixed...so I wasn't sure how I was supposed to eat it since I got it to-go and was not going home....they also had the normal plastic spoons so not ones that are long to mix up all ingredients. Also some of the açaí and pitaya mix was still frozen aka was not blended enough together and that added to eating it very difficult. It was tasty otherwise.

Healthy! Great food, great juice, and great customer service. The juiceista Alyssa was the sweetest! She answered all my questions and recommended a delicious smoothie.

I had never been to the Mad Beet before but I've driven by plenty of times. I'm very biased on where I get my açaí bowls and really didn't know what to expect. The Mad Beet is solid! Good energy when you walk in, everyone is really nice and the items have fun names. I ordered an açaí bowl and really enjoyed it, the Beyoncai bowl! Easily on of my top 3 favorite açaí bowls in town. They also have a bunch of free video arcade games to play while you wait. I'm excited to come back and try out more menu items!

We love The Mad Beet and make it a point to stop by every time we visit San Diego! Fresh acai bowls, friendly service, and great vibes -- what more can you ask for! My favorite bowl is the Twopac Shakur which is both acai and pitaya.

Best açaí bowl. They recently remodeled the store & they've kept the same music vibe & the best parts of their menu. If you're in PB especially with this hot/humid weather creeping in this is the best remedy !

    No granola on bottom

Totally different than previously after new ownership . Barely any granola. Price is insane ! Menu is no longer the same. Won't be coming back

Just like a yogurt place pick a size pick a bade and add your toppings. I recommend to add the Leite Ninho, which is a milk powder. Sounds weird to add that but it's a good addition. Service is on par. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff is always on site. It can get busy at times and you might have to wait but it's well worth it. Made in house peanut butter is very nice as well with great flavor, it's smooth and mixes well with each bowl. My wife got the acai bowl I got the half and half because I wanted to see what this Brazilian super fruit, cupuacu, was all about. Has a lighter tropical refreshing flavor, so there is that option, but the acai also has that standard flavor if you want that more robust and pronounced flavor profile. Both very delicious though. We also got a cold brew with the cold foam. Great flavor from the coffee itself. Nice and bright flavor with some sweetness from the cold foam, very well balanced. The service was amazing too, very kind very friendly, and super knowledgeable about their product. We ate inside and they walked out and did a table touch and even brought us some napkins for the table. The decor and vibes was very relaxing and the building was well lit. Prices are also great, bowls include any or all the toppings that they have available. You pick your side, your base then you can build your own or pick from some of their premade builds. We got two medium size bowls, and a cold brew with cold foam, a little over 40 dollars after a 22% tip.

You can't really beat the refreshing taste of fresh fruit and nutty granola and butter. Especially when you can take this delectable bowl to the beach and just vibe in the sand. Wave Bowl $16 (14.50+1.50): 5/5 The bowl itself looks fairly small like, but deceptively so since I was stuffed after eating the whole thing for breakfast. It is higher cost than I would usually spend but I don't eat açaí bowls to know the average. Personally I really liked that the toppings were at the bottom and the bases were on top, not just because it was a beautiful display but because sometimes when it is the opposite, it can quickly get messy with toppings falling and dropping. The granola was crunchy and the add-on nut butter ($1.50) was plentiful and contrasted well to the fruits. You get some finely diced strawberries and bananas that were just the right amount of ripe, the bananas a little more firm but definitely preferred with the bases. The pineapple spirulina was favorite as it had a good sweetness to it. Honestly wished I could get a bowl with just this as a base and of course the natural blue color is just so unique. Coconut was coconutty and the pitaya was brightly colored, not too much distinctive taste on this one. Peak San Diego Experience

So…read moreoften they end up being a trend based on good marketing tactics which is amazing but good marketing doesn't mean good flavor and good service. In this case yes the bowl was OK was but was no better than the 3 other bowl places within a mile of this location. The wait was LONG as for many of the bowl places on this street but this one was extra long as in 45 minutes to an hour wait on off hours long. And of course with all these tik tok famous places the price was inflated. Based on taste alone I could have given this place 4 starts but the extra tik tok tax(inflated price just for being TikTok trendy) and extra wait time for the exact same thing you can get anywhere else rubbed me wrong so I'm going to have to leave this 3 star right here.
