Wow what a cute area! Surf shop in this mini cafe. I got the turkey sandwich and it was so good!

Grabbed a few smoothies from here- they were refreshing and tasty! Lots of outdoor seating. Definitely strict on the no outside food/drink at the seating though.

Was in the mood for a fruit bowl and this did not disappoint. The açaí bowl was fresh and they did not skimp on the drizzle of peanut butter that I asked for! So good I decided to get it the next 2 mornings. Loved the beach feel to the environment & the service was reasonably quick given the freshness of the fruit!

Cute cafe with nice outdoor seating. Great spot to work outdoors with free WiFi - the indoor seating area is quite small. Busy on a Saturday morning. My smoothie was delicious! The breakfast sandwich was ok - I did appreciate the fresh watermelon that comes with it.

Beach vibes! Its all in the name. I came here Sunday Morning, I had an earlier appointment and wanted to find a spot to eat and have coffee, came across this cafe on my walk and it was welcoming. Sitting indoors but more seats outdoors. I ordered the avocado toast and a coffee! Delicious! Food was ready fast. Staff were friendly and I will be returning! I really wanted an açaí bowl but it was a chilly day and I didn't want to be more cold. So now I have an excuse to go for the açaí bowl!

The food quality was disappointing, and there was no phone number to place a takeout order or any contact information to submit a complaint. The photos show how little attention the staff paid to the quality of the ingredients.

Everything here is unique and beautiful. It's the perfect place if you are looking for surf equipment. You can say it's a mini shop for this town. Coffee is very well made here and the place is full of positivity, like most places in California. I asked the lady working here for recommendations and she gave me really good spots that I went to and enjoyed. It's the best cafe if you wanna experience the San Diego vibes.

Such a great lunch spot. Located in Bird Rock and is an awesome location to hang out, enjoy great food and be around incredible people. Gourmet sandwiches, açaí bowls, huge salads, and a ton of specialty smoothies makes this a unique spot that draws the locals and tourists alike. Attached to Bird Rock Surf so you can shop and grab lunch all in one spot. Some seating inside....but why sit in a building when you are in beautiful Bird Rock? I suggest enjoying their spacious outdoor patio while you fuel up on incredible food. Pros: Water refill station inside Super nice staff Seriously one of the best sandwiches I have had Açaí bowls are a great size and filling Lots of seating Cool vibe Cons: It's Bird Rock and that means lots of humans want to take in this paradise which makes parking festive to find. Enjoy the turnabouts and don't give up, this place is worth the effort.

Stopped here last minute and decided to give the place a try because the bakery next door I usually go to was closed. The little shop attached is super cute and easy to browse while waiting for your order, which didn't take long to come out. Acai Bowl: (2/5) there were not enough toppings to go with the amount of acai there was. I'm personally not the biggest fan of organic hemp granola, it was more along the lines of rice crispy bits and had little flavor compared to traditional granola. The majority of the acai itself was very liquidy with the occasional icy chunk of not fully defrosted acai.

I cannot!!!!! This place! It's sooooo uuuuumazing!!! I have only got the açaí bowls here but let me tell you......!!!! They blend the açaí fruit every morning, The toppings they put on top are perfectly orchestrated to give you a power punch of delicious nutrients! So so so so good, take it from me, I have had sooo many açaí bowls and these are THE BEST. Beautiful location. Friendly staff. And cool vibe. Must Go.

No idea how I've slept on this place for so long. Stopped in for a quick lunch and walked out with a funny story, a shirt, and smelling my favorite flowers the whole meal. I had the chicken pesto sandwich which was great! It came with chips and was fairly basic but the walnut cranberry mix really made it unique. While I waited for the sandwich to come out, I discovered bird rock surf shop attached and shopped around and found the cutest bird rock top! The outdoor space is so lovely to sit and enjoy your meal as well. Service was fine - everyone nice enough and it's an order and pick up at the counter situation so no real service to the tables. The best surprise was sitting right next to a honeysuckle bush! Just be careful if you set your food down to look at the sale rack because a seagull totally stole my top piece of bread!

This place is great vibes. If you want to catch up with a friend over coffee or post up to work for a couple hours, this place is a great option with lots of outdoor seating. The breakfast sandwich, açaí bowls, and coffee is yummy and reasonably priced. Nice that it's connected to PB Surf Shop so you can do some shopping while you wait for your order. Also seems really dog friendly which is cool.

Good vibes, kind staff, fast WiFi. Food was an afterthought, my breakfast sandwich tasted like a microwaved McMuffin.

    * Validated parking available * Great customer service…read more* Fresh, tasty food We came here for lunch on a Sunday and were invited by friends to give this spot a try. Parking was a little difficult to find at first, especially during the lunch rush, but they do offer parking in the structure and can validate it at the restaurant, which helps lower the cost and was definitely a nice bonus. We were in the mood for something refreshing and not too heavy, and this place was perfect for that. We ordered the Aloha Bowl, Coconut Cream Fruit Bowl, Aloha Smoothie, La Jolla Club, and Coffee Crunch. I have to say, everything we tried was delicious! My personal favorite was the Coconut Cream Fruit Bowl. The fruit tasted incredibly fresh, and you could tell everything was prepared with care. The portions were great, the food was light yet satisfying, and the customer service was friendly throughout our visit. Even though parking can be a challenge on the weekends, I would definitely come back again for the fresh food and great experience.

I ordered a chicken Caesar wrap and was given turkey instead of chicken. On top of that, the wrap was mostly lettuce with an excessive amount of mayo, so it wasn't very satisfying. The most frustrating part was when I called to ask for the nutritional information. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable--I simply wanted to know how much protein was in the wrap. Instead of answering my question, the employee joked that I was "being difficult like the rest of the customers," then sarcastically said, "You're worried about the calories? Do you know how many calories are in a Caesar wrap?" It came across as arrogant and dismissive. As someone who tracks protein for fitness, that's a completely normal question, especially for a restaurant next to a gym that promotes healthier food. To make matters worse, they couldn't even get my name right when my order was ready--they called me "Tony." Mistakes happen, but professionalism matters. If you're going to advertise yourself as a healthy restaurant, having basic nutrition information available and treating customers with respect when they ask about it should be expected.

I placed an order ahead of time and showed up about 25 minutes later thinking it would be ready. When I checked in, a younger employee told me it would be another 10 minutes. Annoying, but okay. The parking situation around here is already a nightmare, so I really wasn't thrilled about having to stand around waiting even longer. Well, those 10 minutes turned into 25. During that time, I watched multiple people walk in, place orders after I had already checked in, and receive their food before me. The crazy part? It wasn't even busy. There was no line out the door, no rush, no obvious reason for such a ridiculous delay. After waiting long enough, I finally went up to an older gentleman working there (I'm assuming the owner) and politely explained that I had been waiting a very long time and was confused why people ordering after me were getting their food first. Instead of apologizing or even acknowledging the mistake, he was rude, dismissive, and acted like I was inconveniencing him for asking about an order that should have been ready ages ago. Then, after another 10 minutes, my bowls were finally ready. In total, I waited about 35 minutes after checking in for pickup. To top it all off, the older gentleman practically shoved the bowls at me without so much as a "sorry for the wait." Look, delays happen. Mistakes happen. What bothered me was the complete lack of communication, accountability, and basic customer service. If you're running behind, just be honest about it. Don't tell someone 10 minutes when it's really going to be over half an hour. The açaí is good, but not nearly good enough to make up for being treated like an annoyance. There are plenty of other places in San Diego serving great bowls without the attitude.
