Delicious Acai served here!! It tastes really authentic and cleaner than other acai places. They offer a good amount of toppings and other options. The workers are really friendly and explain the entire ordering process to you. The menus are sheets that you write on with a whiteboard marker and fill out. read more

I first saw this from a video and got intrigued since we're huge fans of acai. Our go-to place sadly closed down last year so we were in the hunt for a new one. It's located inside a cookie shop and they don't really have an obvious signage unless you enter. The staff here has always been friendly and accommodating to walk us through the ordering process. Basically, you get a cheat sheet and get to customize it yourself. Their biggest size is actually humongous and we love the variety of their toppings. I just wish more fruits are included but the price isn't all too bad. Their acai base here is more on the watery side which I learned is traditional to Brazil. Really enjoyed the açaí bowls here! I love how they layer the toppings so you get a perfect spoonful of fruit and whatever toppings you chose in every bite. A great Brazilian Açaí spot. For $11 you can order a regular with 2 toppings. I usually get the pistachio butter and the nut granola. Service is quick! Grab a pad and pen and fill out your order. When it's finished they place it on the rotation table. Location is a small shack so it truly is a grab and go but the employees are chill! read more

Excellent presentation and the açaí has a unique creaminess that I really enjoyed. However, for the $15.50 medium size, I really shouldn't have to pay extra for more than 3 toppings. It was really good, but I think there are other options at this price point that give more liberty when building your own toppings. read more

I really like the flavor of the açaí base. It was rich and full of açaí flavor, but the texture was a little runny. Could have been frozen a bit more, but I'll take it for the true açaí flavor. Great topping choices, too. I like that you fill out the sheet with your order rather than verbally giving the order. Makes the process a bit easier. The spot is a cute little stand within walking distance to the beach, so it's a great treat to grab before a nice walk. read more

One of my new top açaí spots in San Diego! The fruit was fresh, and the açaí had the perfect flavor and consistency. I loved the layering of the granola (it stayed crunchy throughout) and the peanut butter was delicious. The portion size was reasonable for the price. This place is a bit overpriced for the portions, as the cup is very aesthetically pleasing but not the best for portion sizes. For a small and medium protein Acai, it was over $30 which is a little expensive for my taste. The Acai itself wasn't too sweet and the toppings were good. Acai Carioca has set up a mobile stand in front of the California Dreams Hostel on Emerald St in PB just yards away from the waterfront. They have a simple menu in which you choose one of four serving sizes, a base, and then toppings. Tuesday was unlimited toppings day, yet the cashier didn't inform me about the offer. Brazilian cheese balls (pao de queijo) made of tapioca flour were also available for purchase. The cup sizes ranged from 12 oz to 32 oz with two to four toppings included. There were two base types... carioca (traditional acai berries blended with honey) and protein style. The latter cost an extra dollar because it was carioca plus a vanilla vegan protein powder. Nineteen different toppings were offered at an additional one dollar each. I picked a regular size carioca with strawberries and more honey. The natural sweetness from the premium acai was already high so the extra honey increased it even more. I think the 12 oz size would be sufficient for most customers because the 32 oz serving with four toppings at a price of $25 was steep. This was a very good quality product that exceeds the acai you get in a bowl at the chain shops. read more

I was really craving a smoothie and this was the closest thing in the area that was open at the time. Even though the acai is pre-made and just scooped into the cup with the toppings and there was only one person ahead of me in line, the wait took a while. Then, after another 10 minutes, my bowls were finally ready. In total, I waited about 35 minutes after checking in for pickup. To top it all off, the older gentleman practically shoved the bowls at me without so much as a "sorry for the wait." Look, delays happen. Mistakes happen. What bothered me was the complete lack of communication, accountability, and basic customer service. If you're running behind, just be honest about it. Don't tell someone 10 minutes when it's really going to be over half an hour. The açaí is good, but not nearly good enough to make up for being treated like an annoyance. There are plenty of other places in San Diego serving great bowls without the attitude.

This is my FAVORITE açaí place ever! Me and my friends come here every time we're at the beach. I love that you get to customize your açaí bowl to make it exactly how you want it. The bowls are delicious and the service was speedy. I would definitely recommend going here! read more

i sadly had a really poor experience here today :( i was craving avocado toast and chose to come…read morehere out of convenience because i was in the area running errands. i didn't have high expectations but was severely disappointed in the service and the quality of the food. first off, when i went up to the order counter, i stood there for what felt like a whole 2 minutes before the girl behind the counter even acknowledged i was there. she was sipping a smoothie and scrolling on her phone directly across from the counter, probably 3 feet away but didn't look up to see me. when she finally realized i had been standing there (i felt awkward saying anything because i didn't want to be rude), she murmured under her breath what i think was "sorry" and was super mumbly, and not warm to me at all. i tried to shake it off as a fluke experience but just got weird vibes all around. i was hoping the food would make up for my weird experience at the counter but it unfortunately didn't. avocado toast is pretty hard to mess up but the bread was definitely stale and hard to chew around the edges but the middle part of the slice was also drastically undercooked for toast. it felt like i was eating an untoasted piece of bread with avocado on top. i had to take the toast to go, toasted my own slice of bread at home, and used the avocado/toppings on my own bread in order to not completely waste what i ordered. i've never had problems ordering avocado toast at other spots but this one super missed the mark somehow.

It was a nice ambiance to sit and enjoy your juice and coffee. We ordered quite a bit of items as we were waiting for another member of our party to meet us here. The bathroom is beautifully and nicely decorated but they are super strict about using the bathroom even if you are a customer as they had a bathroom (there is a key you have to ask for) "wanted bandit sign"apparently for vandalizing it....which I understand however When another member of our party came, we went inside and the line was so long we decided to use the bathroom before ordering more, we were in there less than 5 minutes and the owner/manager knocked and knocked, I came out and apologized and asked if she knocked. She did apologize but said other people are waiting. I ordered another juice and was going to order sandwiches and acai bowls but felt like we probably were at cafe more than an hour and out stayed our stay. I understand as a business you have to be strict about the bathroom and that is their policy however if it is a juice/coffee place your customers are bound to use the restroom several times especially if they are continuing to order. Unfortunately, It did turn me away to try the food which I actually was looking forward to as they did offer organic croissant sandwiches. We decided to just choose another place to order food. I'll have to think about returning as we are always in La Jolla for yoga.
