First off this review covers both the best and how a restaurant handles and recovers from challenges. Our orders 1 lobster omelette and a large medium roast coffee. Lobster was perfectly cooked. And plenty in every bite. Second order 1 large medium roast coffee. was a breakfast of champions. Corned beef hash, String potatoes. Choice of sausage, bacon or chorizo. Choice of toast and a fruit cup. The lobster omelette was delivered and eaten while the staff miscommunicated and never placed the order for the breakfast of champions. I waited until my wife was done with her lobster omelette before mentioning I was forgotten. I brought this to the attention of management explained that I was traveling through and needed to be back on the road. She apologized and offered to expedite that for me. She also gave us a couple of sweet treats as another apology. She did and I am glad I did. My breakfast was excellent. Just had to eat it on the go. Which I'm used to with all the traveling we do. So the miscommunication happened and the recovery was great. The ambiance is great open seating built with a homage to the town's industrial heritage. Definitely recommend Cafe 641. read more

Never a bad breakfast sandwich here, no matter what I order. The crepes are great, too. I don't drink coffee, but their matcha and chai are both good. Everything's fresh, and the owners and staff are consistently friendly and on top of things. Worth trying out , you'll be a returning customer. read more

We have ordered lunch here a couple times for the office and the consensus has been pretty good so far. I think maybe I've just been ordering the wrong items. My warm lobster roll was okay, but had pieces of lobster that were pretty dry and not so fresh tasting. I also got the madame crepe and the ham in it was so incredibly salty I could not finish all of it. My smoothie was just alright and was separating as I drank it, and I also got a dragonfruit juice thing that was a little too sweet but tasted pretty good overall. I'm hoping it gets better if I start making better choices, but everyone else seemed to enjoy their food so I will give this 3.5 stars. read more

I have wanted to visit this place for some time. I did enjoy the sandwich I ordered and my partner enjoyed theirs as well. The service on this Sunday late morning was polite and reasonably fast. Food was hot when it arrived. It is a nice touch that you order at the counter but they deliver it to the table. This actually caught me off guard!. This the inside is warm and comfortable, it seems there could be more of an eclectic style that could be added. The entrance is unassuming and could be brightened up to be more attractive. However, it is also in the downtown history district so there may be limitations. Food costs is comparable to any expresso café. Expect to pay 18pp for a drink and food. I went there with my partner for breakfast. This is a great "hole in the wall" find. Fabulous staff in all ways. Friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. The place has a neighborhood feel. Great coffee, which so many breakfast places don't get right. The pastries are yummy, they did our eggs very well but the home fries were a bit over seasoned and oddly enough, they were both over cooked and under cooked due to their varying sizes. The maple sausage, which they recommended highly was too processed, lacking in flavor and seemed to be of poor quality. I prefer a hand made maple sausage patty. The seats in there are also very uncomfortable. Still it is one of the best breakfast places I have found in a long while. I will return and try the hash instead of the sausage. They seem to care about the business and it shows! I will frequent it to see them grow. read more

The cashier / barista was very nice and took our order quickly. She was the only positive about the entire cafe. A male staff member in the kitchen was staring at us the entire time we were ordering, which was a little unnerving. It was also a little difficult to find parking even though it was a Wednesday afternoon. I think it would be impossible on a weekend. We spent $95 here to try a little bit of everything based on reviews. The price point would be fine if the quality of the food and drinks justified it, but we were greatly disappointed. Food: We purchased two crepes with strawberries, bananas, and Nutella, which were very expensive considering there was only a drizzle of Nutella on top and mushy fruit inside. We tried two different turkey sandwiches, which were decent, but the bread was dry and the lettuce had a grainy texture like it had not been washed. The pumpkin muffin was good, but fell apart. The cinnamon chip scone and the chocolate croissant were both stale and hard to the point of being inedible. Beverages: The smoothies melt down into a runny paste like consistency that was sticky and impossible to drink. The coffee in my Nutella latte was very burnt and the Nutella drizzled inside the cup never melted into my drink so I could barely taste it. Overall, this place is extremely overpriced considering the quality of the food and drinks. I would not recommend. read more

Cafe 641 makes amazing sandwiches and baked goods. When I lived in Hudson, I could easily walk to their store. The shop is tucked away in the brown stones of Hudson's main street. There is plenty of table seating as well as bar stool seating. I really enjoy that they have a variety of books to read while you're eating. The turkey Reuben is out of this world delicious. Each sandwich also comes with a bag of chips. My only gripe is that the prices are a little steep. read more

If you're local, download their app. It's totally worth the rewards. If you don't know what to get, the Dewey is always a good option. Otherwise, there is plenty to pick from on the menu. Also, they have a beer and wine menu now for adults. (Maybe not in the morning, unless you're hankering for a mimosa) Their cold brew is really good, but they do make espresso and tons of different flavored coffee and lattes. Located right off Main Street, there's no designated parking, but there is street parking and parking in the lot behind the fire station not too far away by the Main Street Circle.
