Great food and service. We go it least once a week. Soups are great and so are the sandwiches

While the food of this location matches up to the yummy taste of other locations I've been to, this location seems to be severely understaffed on BYU Football gamedays in Provo. Our party of four arrived more than three hours before kickoff and waited in a line of more than 25 people to order, which the staff handled well for only having 3-4 total people behind the counter). Where the service fell short was because of the lack of more staff, there was no one to clean around the restaurant or take out the garbage. The one garbage can in the restaurant was completely overflowing, with a growing pile of trash next to it, and with that pile growing, two restaurant tables starting serving as a makeshift trash cans, with several trays of plates, bowls, and trash piling up. Not a good look for the restaurant, and certainly not good that it's taking up table space during a busy time. But also something that's very fixable moving forward, so I hope management does something about it. But the food itself is fresh, prepared quickly, and tastes delicious, and all of the employees I interacted with were friendly, despite the stress of how busy the restaurant was. I'd come here again, but I hope they can improve the BYU game day situation. read more

Zupas is good not great in my opinion. My family loves it so we go often but i feel the quantity per price isn't exceptional and as a big guy i want a lot of food. The food is good but nothing crazy. I used to love zuppas but I feel like their quality and service continue to go downhill. The last time I was here, the service was not good, this time my salad was a bummer. I got almost no toppings on my mango berry salad, and I paid $2 for 3 pieces of bite sized chicken and a few chicken crumbs. I ate the toppings quick and was left with a huge bowl of lettuce. Healthy. Fast. Casual. Affordable. Delicious. Café Zupas, you have my heart! This place is one of a kind. They offer great soups, salads and sandwiches along with great portions and prices. You walk up and order and all your food is ready by the time you pay. The service is fast and met with great big smiles. One of my favorite parts about the meal is that it comes with a bread roll and a chocolate covered strawberry. And they're damn good! The garden protein bowl is AH-mazing. There's lots of flavor and goodness in one big bowl. Plus they make it right in front of you so you know it's fresh. Y'all, the brisket grilled cheese is to die for. There was a spider in my chocolate strawberry that I got to go. I opened the box and am so glad I saw it before I ate the strawberry. The line was long and the food was cold before we had even left. Cafe zupas is one of my favorites and it never disappoints! The food is delicious, healthy, and the staff is always so kind and helpful!

I do not recommend ordering Zupas from this location for any large meal or catered event. My job has ordered meals for plenty of events and every single time Zupas has disappointed. There were times where they have completely forgotten the order or we'll arrive to pick it up and they say they're just finishing up as they proceed to start the entire order. After finishing the order sometimes a whole hour after the requested finish time, the employees are inconsiderate and unapologetic. I love Zupas' food but because of this poor service Zupas will not be receiving my business. read more

I am always down for a meal at zupas after exercising! I ordered the pesto chicken and bacon avocado panini. Their pesto chicken panini is amazing!! Yet, I did not like the bacon avocado as much as it just tasted mushy. I also ordered the clam chowder recently and would not recommend it. It tasted like canned soup! Don't eat here... They try to make the food trendy and it sucks ! I eat everything. One sandwich had sweet pickles. They didn't tell us. I asked to switch they said no bc they didn't make a mistake. Zupas is one of those places I feel like going to eat after working out. It feels clean and healthy and I always feel good after eating here. I got the combo with a turkey bacon avocado sandwich and a mango berry salad. The dressing is light and sweet with a yogurt base and compliments the tartness of the berries very well. They also add little crunchy bits throughout the salad which adds a nice texture. For 10 dollars it's great value when you want something healthier without breaking the bank! read more

They seemed a little disjointed in here tonight. We waited almost 15 minutes for them to chop the strawberries for a salad. Watching the whole thing, all I could think was "less talking, more chopping." The food also wasn't the quality we have come to equate with Zupas. The mushroom bisque wasn't fresh tasting. The service was really sweet! I got the 2 combo with the pesto chicken and nuts for berries salad with the mango yogurt dressing. I also got their spicy chicken on the side. Both sandwiches on wheat bread. The spicy chicken tasted ok, its a little dry and not even that spicy. Id give it a 3 out of 5. I would rather get a spicy chicken at Popeyes that tastes a lot better and isnt that much more unhealthy. The pesto chicken was delicious! My favorite item there. The salad was very tasty! I had a large, complex order that I needed in about 45 minutes. I had a list with initials next to each person's order. They filled the order and even put each person's initials on their boxes so that I knew who had what--and I had not even asked them to do that. Great job! Not to mention the food is awesome! The employees were more concerned with their own conversations than they were with attending to the customers in line. Café Zupas has the best salads, paninis, and soups in Provo. Even though there is almost always a line, service is relatively fast and everything comes with a roll and a strawberry dipped in the best milk chocolate ever. It's a really good price for the type of restaurant that it is (much cheaper and bigger servings than Panera, for example) and their permanent offer of Try Two (you pick any combo of two things from the soup/salad/sandwich categories) is only about $10 and a really big meal. My favorite salad is the Nuts about Berries which doesn't have any meat, but a really good amount of berries so you'll get at least one in every bite. The real kicker with this salad is the cinnamon almonds--they're finely chopped and coated in cinnamon and add the most delectable crunch and pop of spice throughout the salad. Plus, the fruity vinaigrette also in it is to die for. As far as soups, I'm partial to the tomato basil. It's so flavorful and thick. You can sample any soups while you're in line, so you can see for yourself what you think of it! The lobster bisque is another favorite of mine. It's not very seafood-y at all--more of a tomato based soup that has lobster pieces in it. Really tasty. As far as sandwiches, I love so many. If you want a hot one, the crab avocado is amazing and also not very seafood-y. If you're not feeling a panini, I adore the Italian sandwich, with its incredible combo of meats and Muenster cheese and house made vinaigrette that is absolutely outstanding and adds a really unique twist to this sandwich. Even though the rewards points currently only work for catering orders, I've found it's still worth it to sign up with the app because occasionally you get special deals and once I even got a free menu item from the special fall seasonal collection as soon as it came out. read more

Not kidding when I say we have Zupas at least once every week. The chicken pesto sandwich is creamy and toasted perfectly! I ordered a large clam chowder and it was awful. It was so weirdly sour and hardly had any actual clam, but I guess that makes sense since it's just a basic small cafe and that's not what they specialize in. But the chowder was just unbearable and not good, there was a ton of onion chunks and other stuff that isn't in traditional clam chowder. I've been to this Zupas several times over the years and always had a good experience. Zupas seems to be a staple for mom lunches, family dinners, and first dates.
