    Balsamic Chicken Greens with Grains
    Christine H.

Loving this new location close to home! It's super quaint, welcoming, and inviting. The decor and ambiance is on point. They have employees checking in on tables and on your food, and even helping to clear your dishes. I've always loved Panera Bread - their soups, salads, and pastries are on point every time I come in. More recently discovered their chocolate croissants O.M.G. - my newest favorite (ahem...addiction) and can eat more than 1, in one sitting . Their balsamic chicken greens salad with grains is refreshing, and tasty - would get again. The ciabatta cheese steak sandwich was very well received by the fam. And you don't skip on the Mexican street corn chowder - hearty, filling, and tasty.

    Out of Avocado (very often)

They are constantly out of ingredients, especially avocado and tomatoes. For a place that specializes in salads and sandwiches, they are a joke. They need to do a better job ordering stock for their items on the menu.

My meal after I had only one bite. The lady behind me said the same thing about her Mac n cheese to her friend. Do better Panera.

I'm so disappointed. First off all the place is tiny. Then when I got my food I almost laughed at loud. It literally looked like I ordered a kids menu meal for a five year old. Yet, I ordered a normal adult sized meal. The picture I have I took after having only one bite. I then realized I should take a picture for my review. I ordered the same meal many times before but it had been awhile due to moving and not having one nearby. This location was finally built closer to me and I was excited to have it again. I'm so tired of portions being ridiculous small yet ridiculously expensive. And they gaslight you when you question the size and if they gave you the right thing claiming it's always been this size etc. I'm just so disappointed in this place. I know it's not the location specifically but corporate. Do better Panera.

Today (8/21/24) we attended the Grand Opening for this location. Usually there is a big fuss and swag and everything happening! This location had nothing! Hahaha we went at around 920, they opened at 7 so they had been opened for a bit even though it looked like they just opened the whole store then. It was a bit disorganized. Outside of my little group (3) there was one other person there doing dine in. We ordered on 2 separate checks, I got a bagel sliced not toasted or anything not only did it take about 5 min longer then my sister's toasted Asiago with spread. I had to go up and tell them that they missed my order, which was kind of sad being that we were basically the only ones there that weren't workers. 2nd round of food we ordered a bit more, again my sisters came out first (more food then me) and mine 2nd even though like before I was ahead of her and had less food that needed to be cooked. There were 5 managers with manager tags on that we could see and about 7 team members. So with all those hands and we still were getting food late and not ordered right?? Seems strange to me. We loved Panera in CO but seems to be falling flat her in Utah a little. I just thought it was also strange that for a grand opening they weren't doing anything? No games or music at the minimum! Crazy! When I have opened stores personally (3 locations) it's been a big thing! You want the community involved! Anyways food was okay, didn't taste super fresh, bagels were yummy cute store. Just expected more I guess

Great bagels - get them in the morning time. We also really love the honey walnut cream cheese.

There isn't anyone there to help you with any questions, just a kiosk. I ordered the sweet potato and chicken bowl. It's a yummy bowl (the broccoli throws the taste off a bit) but my sweet potatoes were cold while every other thing was warm. When I asked the girl was like "well the dressing makes it colder but it should be warmed" I said "the dressing would of course affect the temp but the potatoes are the only thing cold" I just let it go because she definitely didn't seem like she understood. The styrofoam cups are not convenient to hold and don't come out until your food is out. There were no tops out and the ice machine was on its last straw the whole time we were there. When I told the girls about the bathroom not having a working paper towel machine and the door being hard to lock it was also brushed off. When you're paying $15 for a bowl, these are just the little things that kind of make a difference.

The roasted sweet potatoes were served cold instead of warm, which I get but it was pretty off-putting. The proportions seemed lopsided too--some ingredients were generous, others barely noticeable--making the bowl feel unbalanced. And my pita bread was really soggy. Overall, it wasn't a great experience. If you're looking for a fresh, healthier options, I think Tossd is your spot. I need to explore the menu a bit more and see if there's another bowl/salad that makes me want to go to Tossd time and time again.

Just be aware that modifications cannot be made without an additional cost. * Caprese sandwich was on this delicious focaccia bread. Sides are small (see photo), but the sandwich is big. * Staff is friendly and attentive. Cons: * I added chicken to my sandwich and it was a such a small piece that half of the sandwich didn't have chicken in it. * I wasn't impressed with the dessert flight so I don't recommend ordering it. If you're planning to dine there, make sure you don't have any pressing commitments afterward. On both of our visits, we spent an extraordinary amount of time simply waiting to be acknowledged. During our most recent visit, our group sat at a table right in the middle of the restaurant and could have driven all the way to the Draper location in the time it took for a server to notice we were there. We initially assumed the experience was a one-time issue, so we gave the American Fork location a second chance a few months later. Unfortunately, it was almost identical to the first visit. The pace of service was painfully S...L...O...W... The time from when we sat down until we got the special priviledge of actually ordering: 25 minutes! In contrast, the Draper location has consistently been a much better experience and appears to be managed far more efficiently. I'm glad they've expanded into American Fork, and the food certainly makes the restaurant worth visiting. I just hope they can improve their service processes so customers can enjoy a great meal without needing to set aside half their day to do it.

Sonora on Main Street Do not let the location fool you…read more Tucked into a corner spot near the freeway entrance on Main Street American Fork, Ocotillo is easy to drive past and a mistake to miss. Step inside and you will find a beautifully decorated space with an open kitchen greeting you at the entrance and a staff that is genuinely enthusiastic about the food they are serving. Ocotillo specializes in the cuisine of Sonora, Mexico, a region known for bold meat and seafood dishes. They also offer a daily brunch menu that is worth planning your weekend around. We ordered the tres leches pancakes, a triple stack that delivers exactly what the name promises. Bathed in a three milk mixture and topped with fresh berries and whipped cream, moist but not to sweet. The Sonorense combination was equally impressive. Arrachera steak strips, chilaquiles made with poblano chile, a tamal de elote, and two eggs. The arrachera was excellent and the chilaquiles were crispy, which is exactly how they should be and not something every kitchen gets right. The menu is long enough that choosing something different next time will be a genuine challenge. Omelettes, chilaquiles, brioches, and other specialties give you plenty of reasons to return. We are already looking forward to exploring the lunch and dinner menu. Slightly more expensive than a standard breakfast spot, but the generous portions and the quality of the ingredients justify every dollar. Five stars without hesitation.
