We had dinner at Café Prima Pasta with our best friends, and it was fantastic. We've been before but forgot how good it was. The complimentary bruschetta and bread bowl was delicious. Nick and Andre kept our glasses full and tables squeaky clean throughout the entire night. Now for the food... for apps, we had ricotta meatballs, fiocchi, and truffle fries - all 10/10, but man, that fiocchi was mind-blowing... some of the best we've ever had. For mains. I had crab ravioli (perfection), my bestie had cacio e pepe, my husband had gnocchi with chicken, and my friend's hubs had an off-menu mushroom risotto with shrimp that was suggested by the server - literally no misses here, everything was top-tier. Dessert? Tiramisu, creme brulee, and Nutella mousse/ice cream hybrid - all amazing. The ambiance was great. Even the valet was reasonable. Great night, great food. Back for a fixing of Miami beach glam! The ambiance here is just *chef's kiss* Our reservations this time were at 6PM and we arrived a little early. What we didn't know is that they have a Super Price menu running from 4:30PM-6PM! So we were able to get our order in and take advantage of the specials. Highly recommend going early because the prices are great! We started the evening with a Caesar salad and an order of the meatballs. And the meatballs were to die for!! They were so delicious! The meat had great seasoning throughout and it was a great ratio with the sauce and ricotta. The caesar was also really good with light dressing. For entree we got the agnolotti rosso which was amazing. It was stuffed with spinach and you can tell spinach was fresh. The sauce was absolutely delicious. And the pasta was made of spinach so it enhanced the flavor. We paired off all the food with a bottle of Bonanza cab which was perfect with the food. The whole time the waiters are flying by making sure our plates are clean, and waters filled. We ended the evening with a piece of tiramisu which was perfection. We arrived yesterday at Cafe Prima Pasta during Happy Hour unbeknownst to us and were happy about it because our drinks and dinner were at great prices! We loved the the decor which was very Italian and very inviting but still casual enough. We went there early because we were hoping to get a parking spot that was reasonably close by. We have tried several times to eat here but we could never find a parking spot. But we learned that they have valet parking for $15. Now we know and will be back soon because our experience here was fabulous. Our main server was Ricardo, who was a total delight! He knows the menu backwards and forwards. He treated us like royalty and had great menu recommendations. We started out with a glass of Malbec for me and Pinot Grigio TAVO for my daughter. Both wines were good and perfect for our food selections. Ricardo brought us a basket of crusty homemade Italian bread, which was freshly and yummy. I picked the Chicken Parmesan with Penne Noodles. It came with a tasty marinara sauce and I added a goblet of Alfredo sauce also. My daughter chose the Fiocchi Rapera, which was a cheese and pear stuffed pasta, with crispy prosciutto and creamy truffle sauce. It was rich and pleasing. We did a little sharing and both dishes were amazing! For dessert, we shared their very delicious Tiramisu and the Chocolate Mousse pie. We also appreciated Macarena, who assisted Ricardo with bringing us our water and dessert. She was so nice and fun to talk to. Both servers made our evening even more pleasant there. Ambiance-A+...such a cool vibe you don't feel like you're in Miami. The food was just mediocre. The chicken parm had good floor, but was pounded so thin it was more breading than chicken. For $28 it was disappointing. The kids enjoyed the pasta dishes but they lacked flavor to the adults. The caprese salad was good...cheese and tomatoes were very fresh...but once again lacked the signature balsamic and oil flavoring. One of our favorite date night locations in Miao beach. This place has been open since 1993 and it's never disappointed. It's very intimate with superb service from the waiters to the manager. Here everyone is aware and they constantly refill your water and change your plates. We made it in time for the super price menu which is like happy hour. We immediately got complimentary bread and a bruschetta to try. We ordered a bottle of wine which was delicious/affordable. For appetizers we decided on the two meatballs. I'm a huge fan of their meatballs. Tastes homemade with lots of flavor. The Agnolotti Rosso pasta was amazing and fresh. I highly recommend. We ended the night the tiramisu which was a delight. I ordered the Blackened Risotto with Seafood -- rich, creamy, and packed with perfectly cooked seafood. My bff had the Fiocchi Rapera -- little pasta purses filled with pear and cheese in the most dreamy, flavorful sauce. My boyfriend had the classic Chicken Parmesan, and it was everything: cheesy, crispy, and comforting. We also shared the fresh salad and warm bread -- simple but so delicious. The flavors, the presentation, the service -- everything was chef's kiss. For drinks, we had espresso martinis, and they hit just right. The whole night was a 10/10 experience. In 2026 I will have been officially dining here for 20 years. Our last visit was 10-26-25 for my sister in laws birthday and we had a lovely experience. The service was top notch and we sat in the red room. It is more quaint and intimate than any other seat and a gem of its own. Although I ordered the usual suspects (seafood over black linguini) which was amazing, it was the bite of their vodka pasta that blew me away. I have known that the food here is consistent and excellent, but I never deviate. The bday queen shared a bite of her dish and WOW!! Pasta was perfectly cooked but the sauce was super underrated. It was perfect in the fact that it was not too tangy, it had a slight sweetness which perfectly balanced the vodka. I'm ready to go back for this dish alone! The good news is that this spot is really for everyone especially the locals because the service hasn't wavered and the prices haven't skyrocketed. Finally tried Cafe Prima Pasta and can't wait to go back!! It's an unassuming little spot in North Beach that has cozy indoor seating as well as covered outdoor seating. We sat in the outdoor area in the evening and it was lovely. I've also heard that Messi has been spotted here! The food was spectacular, everything was delicious! We started with a few appetizers which were perfect to share for 3 people including the Rucula "Gise" salad (a unique twist on the traditional caprese), the carpaccio di manzo, and the antipasto misto. Carpaccio di Manzo is a must-try! For my entree, I ordered the special, which was seafood fettuccine with octopus, lobster, and shrimp. It was creamy and had lots of generous hunks of meat in it. My boyfriend got one of their staples, the Fiocchi Rapera, which was excellent. I would get this when we go back! They have a nice selection of wines too at a variety of prices. Great complement to a nice Italian meal. Our server, Diego, was the best! He was very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. He also kindly gave us some limoncello shots on the house to top off our meal! This was like a dessert in and of itself, such a lovely and personal touch. He really made our first visit to Prima Pasta special and one to remember. I highly recommend Cafe Prima Pasta if you're in the North Beach area. It was completely packed upon opening at 4:30 and we had a little bit of a wait but we did not mind whatsoever. This year, I decided to invite my Mother as a birthday celebration. I did a reservation this time so I finally got to experience dining indoors. What a beautiful atmosphere. So many attentive staff/waiters. The food was delicious. My mother really enjoyed herself. Towards the end, the staff sang Happy Birthday to my mother and gave us Tiramisu (on the house). I asked them how they knew it was her birthday, our waiter reminded me I had made a note in the reservation. Their attention to detail was so touching (and how they knew who to sing to). For entrees, non-negotiable is fiocci rapera (pear ravioli). I've never had anything like it and it's easily top 10 foods I've EVER eaten. Veal parm is also notably delicious and hits the spot. Service is phenomenal. We said it our was our anniversary when we booked our appointment -- and to our surprise they remembered and brought us complimentary meringues to celebrate. Went to Cafe Prima Pasta for the first time. I understand now why they are so popular after being in business for 30 years. The restaurant is a lot bigger than expected. They offer valet parking for $15 or you can try to look for street parking which $1.35 per hour and free after 6pm. They have a "power menu" until 6pm which offers discounted prices and has several items that are on their regular menu. Since we went for early dinner, we were able to select items from both menus. At the end of the night I realized that I didn't take pictures of our entrees. I was so excited to try the food that I forgot. But I can tell you that everyone enjoyed their meal - we ordered: Penne Vodka with shrimp, Fiocchi Rapera, Agnolotti Rosso,Black linguini seafood, Arturo Steak. Everything was delicious! Service was also great, our server Ricardo was friendly and very attentive along with the rest of the staff. I will definitely be going back - great experience. Fiocchi Rapera: This was my meal and it is my FAVORITE! I believe it's the house favorite as well. Another light dish, pasta purses are filled with pear and cheese and has a flavorful sauce. It was perfect! Chicken Marsala: My boyfriend had this and he loved it. I tasted it as well, and it was delicious - a classic Chicken Marsala, you can't go wrong with. Ricotta Cheesecake with lemon sorbet on the side: Delicious! I would say this dessert was on the heavier side out all our dishes. We probably could of fared better with a creme brûlée. Nonetheless, the cheesecake was flavorful and decadent! Only con to this place: Parking! Circled the block so many times for street parking as the small public parking lot next to it was full. They have Valet parking at $15 though. After circling the block for 30 min, we finally found street parking nearby. If you live nearby, best bet would be to come in an Uber.
