Came here with the hubby and a few friends on a Tuesday!! Love the restaurant. It is decorated very nice/romantic and I lovveeeeddd the brick oven. All of the pasta is made fresh there and on Tuesday they habe a select amount of pasta (like 4 to choose from) for only 12 bucks!!! Yup so cheap. Like Perricones used to be but with actual good pasta!! We ordered the gnocchi bc I love gnocchi haha. I ordered it witj the fungi white sauce. It was sooooooooooo good!!! We also ordered the artichoke salad with chicken. It was also very delicious and seasoned very well. Overall, really enjoyed this place and I will definitely be coming back. The food used to be good, now it's barely edible. Oh, and be sure to check your bill for extra surprises! We've been going to Battubelin for many years, mainly due to its convenient location and ability to accommodate big groups of friends. Although the staff is nice, the food more recently has been weak; forgivable up until last year when they may have thought we were too tipsy after the single bottle of high-end Prosecco to notice the 2 cheaper bottles we ordered afterwards had been charged at the fancy one's price. Anyhoo, skip forward to our latest experience, the food (other then the pizza) was just gross. The eggplant parm was served at barely warm reheated temp with a cheap, provolone-ish cheese instead of real mozzarella, and it was swimming in over a centimeter of VEGETABLE OIL (not olive oil). One of the 8 people in our group had a spaghetti Vongole that smelled and tasted burned, rendering it entirely inedible, and another had a penne vodka that tasted like it had been mixed with an Arrabiatta sauce (very unusual). Plus the pasta dishes were overcooked and WAY over sauced. It seemed to everyone in our group that we were dining at an Italian-themed restaurant at Disney World (for tourists). Hence, we have finally decided to give up on what used to be a cute neighborhood spot. Sadly, it's what happened five years ago with Rosinella on South Beach- a decent Italian spot diminishing their ingredients and methods, which leads to a decline in return customers. read more

Wow, this place has gone down very quickly went Saturday night for dinner. Lots of gnats flying around, I went to sit in my chair. Most of the chairs are ripped and very poor condition was very uncomfortable to sit on. The salad had so much yellow leaves. It was crazy. I couldn't believe how lettuce was so yellow and they could serve it I didn't try the mozzarella, but apparently my friend said that was not good either pizza came out cold and soggy and wet. My Cacio E Pepe was served warm when I sat down there was a tiny hair on my bread plate. The owner was yelling at everybody that was working. There was very unpleasant and comfortable to eat at. I did not enjoy this meal. I don't think I will be going back to this restaurant again. read more

Absolutely amazing! The ambience of this place is cozy inside and so lively outside with their partner bar that serves delicious drinks. We ordered a cacio e pepe and our waiter was nice enough to split it. He recommended it to us and it did not disappoint. So delicious and creamy without the pepper overpowering the sauce. This place won my heart and I cannot to come back again and try out more food! Highly recommend it if you are around the area. read more

The panna e prosciutto pasta (cream and ham) was so simple and light, yet one of the most delicious pasta dishes ever (would recommend if you like Alfredo!) slammed the meals so fast there was no time for pictures. Panna e Cotta was a wonderful light desert and out of this world yummy. Not only was the food incredible, fresh, succulent and delicious beyond words, but the ambience brought me back to my trips to Italy. Everyone in our party immensely enjoyed the appetizers including Calamari, Tuna Tartare, handmade pasta...The lamb cutlets (chops) were perfectly prepared and melted in your mouth. My wife, who loves fish, said the branzino was the freshest and most delicious she ever had! Not only are the sauce options some of the most bland and boring options...not even a pesto, but they did not give me real gnocchi. They gave me mashed potatoes in a box with sauce on top for around $20. I can put mashed potatoes with bland sauce on my own for less than $5. We finally made it here! It has been on our "to-do list" for a long time, but the restaurant is open only for dinner and it's a long way from where we live in West Palm Beach. Unfortunately it was still too hot to eat outside: their patio is big and has a nice ambiance. Their dining room is big, doesn't have any particular décor, and got crowded very fast (it was a Saturday night - luckily they have a private parking) We ordered a "salumi board" as appetizer to share with our friends: everything was delicious. I then ordered pasta with clams: not only the presentation was nice, but it was also very good. Same for my husband's "cacio & pepe", which was very creamy. Our friends ordered pizza: I had a small bite and liked it, but I have my favorite place for pizza and I haven't found a better option yet. To be fair, however, my favorite pizza place makes Neapolitan pizza, while Battubelin's pizza are of a different style (from Northern Italy). I also shared a panna cotta with my friend, but next time I'll order one just for myself: it was amazing! The best panna cotta I had so far in the US! The service is very friendly and attentive; however, I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 because: 1. The music was so loud that we couldn't have a conversation and the waiter had to bend over the table to hear us; 2. The prices on their menu online are about $4-5 cheaper than the real ones; 3. It's on the expensive side, and there are other places in Miami that offer the same authentic cuisine at cheaper prices. The team at Battubelin catered to us, answering all our questions, making suggestions based on the tastes and preferences we explained and were overall very kind. Plenty of customers arrived after us, including takeout customers. This did not at all impact our level of service or the pace items arrived to our table. This was impressive! The quality of the food was excellent. A nice simple bread service comes with the meal. The fried calamari & vegetables was cooked perfectly. The marinara sauce served with it was delicious - chunky tomato, simply seasoned. So good. I had a pizza that comes with speck, mushrooms and truffle oil. It was delicious and the dough was airy. There is a happy hour - buy one get one on drinks. I had two mezcal-based cocktails that were flavored well and deceptively strong. Didn't get to try dessert, too stuffed from the meal. Why aren't we talking about Battubelin? My friend and I originally tried Battubelin at their Julia & Henry's location and thought our pasta was excellent. We decided to give their OG location a run for their money. The restaurant makes you feel like you're at your friends New York loft for a laidback dinner night. Wine bottles in everyone's hands and laughter coming from every table. Jazz music. Pizza coming to life in the brick oven. It has such a relaxing energy. Everything we had was fresh and delicious. I standby that it is hard to find authentic Italian food. Especially if you aren't looking to spend an arm and a leg. They have a great menu selection that isn't too overwhelming and their prices are reasonable. My friend and I split a Cacio el Pepe and without even asking, they split the pasta in two separate dishes for us. We thought that was such a nice touch. I would even go back just for the pizza. You can tell they make the dough fresh and put their heart into it. Parking is a breeze which is always a plus in Miami. I think I prefer this location over Julia & Henry's just because it's a better venue. read more

The only issue I had that our waiter was hopped up and kept pushing us for our order. I had to tell him twice to let us enjoy a glass of our wine before we ordered our food. While driving through the Miami Modern district we stumbled upon Battubelin and made our way in. We fell in love instantly with the customer service and it really made an impact on our visit. Everybody from the hostess, servers, bartenders, and owners made the experience very special. I could tell by the fellow patrons that most were regulars by their interaction with the staff and even though we were new, the staff treated us exceptionally well. The patio is beautiful and dark with plenty of seating. We had the special that night that was recommended by our waiter and it was the ossobuco. So tender and juicy. It was large and perfect for two. We also had a pasta that was perfectly spicy and the pasta was authentic and homemade daily on site. You can tell the difference in taste and the way it makes you feel after. We sat around chatting for awhile, and the owner came by and gave us complimentary panna cotta and limoncello shots. Really nice touches that finished off the night. This place is delicious and beautiful. It's worth multiple repeat visits and I can't wait to go back when I'm in the area again to try the rest of the menu. read more

Black truffle gnocchi is a MUST, the gnocchi literally melts in your mouth. I had this meal with an aperol spritz and it was a great addition to the meal. One of the best pizzas i have had in miami. Came here for lunch with my brother and his family (they've been here before). The space is beautiful, airy and contemporary, with lots of seating. Service was good... attentive and prompt. The menu is varied and includes pastas, pizzas and other Italian specialties. I ordered the gnocchi with a butter and sage sauce... the gnocchi was homemade pillowy goodness, and the serving size was perfect. My brother had the chickpea pasta, and if you didn't tell me it was chickpeas, I would've never known! So good! Hubs shared a monster calzone with my nephew and my niece had a pepperoni pizza, which was also tasty. We finished our meal with espresso and macchiato... perfect!
