A casual French bistro right in Pike Place. We had a dinner reservation and were seated quickly upon arriving. The staff were friendly and attentive. We ordered a bottle of Vouvray which was refreshing and great. For apps, we got the Escargot de Bourgogne and French Onion Soup which were both really good. The onions could have been a bit more caramelized but was still quite flavorful and the broth was soothing. The escargots were cooked thoroughly and had a great garlic and butter sauce which we enjoyed dipping our complimentary bread in. For our main dishes, we got the Dungeness Crab Pasta and Magret de Canard. The poultry jus with the duck was delicious and the pasta had plenty of crab meat and shrimp. Great flavors all around. Overall, a great and delicious experience here!

I have passed by this restaurant so many times, I decided to book a reservation while visiting family for the holiday week. The front is rather abrupt, you walk in right to a bar top with lined with free postcards and a sign that says to wait to be seated. Reservation or not, you'll need to be acknowledged first before seating, this is standard in my opinion. My family and I all ordered different items, juice and cocktails to quiche and scrambled eggs. This is inarguably the best quiche Lorraine I have ever had. The eggs were fluffy, the greens were simple but complemented the richness of the lorraine, and it was a great portion for breakfast. The rest of my party ordered several other egg dishes and also enjoyed their choices. Even if it is tucked away on the side of Post Alley near Pike's Place, it is a great restaurant to go to and will be one I return to.

First time visiting this area, and I had no idea where to eat. After taking a photo in front of the original Starbucks (I didn't want to wait in line just to buy a coffee -- I'd rather mobile order and pick up from the one near my house), I wandered into a charming little accessory shop nearby and asked for lunch recommendations, preferably a cute café. The waitress there recommended one, and we decided to try it out. She kindly offered a coloring Eiffel Tower set to my little one, which was a sweet touch. I ordered a soy latte, a side of French toast, lobster with avocado mash, and a salmon tartine. The portion sizes were generous, but unfortunately, the bread on all the dishes was badly burnt and rock-hard. I had to cut off the burnt parts so I wouldn't break a tooth -- or worse, get sick. The lobster was fresh, and I enjoyed the mashed avocado, especially the crunch of chopped asparagus mixed in. The salmon was served smoked and a bit jerky-like, laid over a very thin spread of cream cheese on the burnt toast. It was okay. At least the side of arugula salad was fresh. The French toast, sadly, was awful -- it looked either burnt or cooked in dirty oil or on a poorly cleaned pan. I felt bad for my kid, since there wasn't a kids' menu, and French toast was pretty much the only option for him. It was even worse than what I remember from my old school cafeteria. Thank goodness I didn't order the full portion. I ended up grabbing him some fries from McDonald's on the way out. As for the soy latte -- I paid $8 and was expecting at least a grande, but it came in an espresso-sized cup. (I even embarrassingly asked if I could get it in a to-go cup in case I didn't finish -- clearly not a concern.) Service was nothing special; no one checked in with us after the food was served, though the lady at the front was sweet and welcoming. In total, I spent nearly $90 for lunch here, and I honestly wouldn't recommend it. For the same price, Café Nordstrom offers a much better experience and food quality.

Our experience here was a mixed bag, so only 4 stars. The service was mostly excellent. Our server and staff were very friendly and helpful, but were not always available when we wanted them. The French toast taste was very good, but really needed the syrup & fruit. Our sever forgot the syrup & we had to ask for it. It really didn't taste as good without the fruit. We have been to places that charged $11-12 for a side of bacon, but then u usually get 4-8 pcs depending on the place. $8 for 2 pcs even with inflation & a tourist area is too much. The bacon tasted like honey ham, not bacon. The flavor was good, but bacon is not supposed to taste like sliced ham. $11 for a mixed green salad with no meat nor vegetables that is just larger than a side salad is also too much. The salad tasted good, but was over priced. The mimosa for $13 for 1 glass was about right for a tourist place but $52 for a carafe is outrageous when we could get bottomless for 2 ppl for that price back home. The atmosphere here is nice. It was not too noisy for a weekday lunch nor too crowded. Our biggest complaint was that we came here specifically to get the quiche Lorraine, which we were promptly notified they were out of. The only things, in our opinion, worth getting on the menu are the French toast, quiche Lorraine, and brisket(?). We should have left at that point but had already walked 20 min to get there and didn't want to pay for an uber to go to another place for a dish that we wanted. If you want the quiche or any other item call ahead and make sure they have it. About $100 for a few scraps of lettuce, some fried toast, & 2 pieces of bacon is not worth it. Since everything else was good, we would come back to try the quiche Lorraine, but would all first and not go if they see out.

What I ordered: - French french toast - Oeufs en meurette avec pomme frites The French french toast had the perfect texture, not too mushy or firm. Each piece of toast had a hint of spice, which was pleasant. There was also an abundance of berries. The oeufs en meurette were cooked beautifully. The toast underneath was still crispy despite the runny yolk. The meurette (red wine-foie gras sauce) had a deep richness and slightly bitter aftertaste. The dish was an umami explosion with bacon, oeufs (eggs), and mushrooms in sauce. Only complaint is that I wanted the pomme frites (fries) a bit more crispy; the accompanying aioli was light and refreshing, really enjoyed the subtle garlic presence.

This place was highly recommended so I was excited to try it for the first time. I like how it is tucked away on a side street in Pike Place. The French theme is very apparent from the art to the furniture! It adds a really nice touch. I came here for breakfast and decided to try the classic Croque monsiuer. It was quite large! I split that and the vegetable quiche with my dining partner. The quiche was so light and fluffy, one of the best I've ever had! Both dishes came with a gorgeous fresh salad. We were both quite full, but wanted to get the french toast on the side for a little something sweet. Unfortunately the french toast was a bit lacking. I had been told the main entree of French Toast is really good, but this side version was a bit of a letdown. Overall I would love to come here for a dinner or another brunch at some point. There are so many delicious sounding menu items to choose from! Service was great as well.

On a random spur of the moment, we decided to go to Seattle and found this cute little French cafe, apparently from what locals where talking about while in there, this restaurant has been there for quite a long time compared to any other restaurant. The service was friendly and attentive. Food was simple but hearty with hints of spices that just put it all together.

Amazing dessert! I came here for a late afternoon time and ordered 2 dishes clafoutis and glacé du jour that truly uplifted my spirits! One is Earl grey ice cream which is home made and the other is cake with Chantilly. Best ice cream ever! I do not like too sweet dessert, but this was just right. The cake is hot and fresh, a perfect delight. Everything was great with the wonderful staff. I will come back for the dinner next time! Love it!

We went here for Mother's Day brunch and got a reservation for an hour after we walked in. We walked around the market in the meantime and it was great. The service was nice however one of the glasses had lipstick on it and had to send it back. The food was amazing and well seasoned. Would definitely come back.

Our second visit was a complete disappointment. The bedside manner was nonexistent. Our waitress was clueless about the wine list, and when asked a very specific question, she simply read from the menu. Additionally, we couldn't understand why bread wasn't automatically served at our table in a FRENCH restaurant. Go figure. When we asked, the 'Karen' host seemed annoyed, nearly slamming the bread down on our table with a dismissive attitude. All of this happened during the transition to happy hour--the restaurant was half-empty, around 2:30-3pm. It was a big letdown after we had a great experience during our first visit a year ago (noting it was a busy Saturday morning, but the service was excellent).

On a quick visit to the Seattle, we stopped by Cafe Campagne for brunch where it was bustling with locals and tourists alike. Service was friendly and attentive, as we got our coffees and ice water pretty quickly and they both stayed full throughout the meal. Modeled after a French cafe, the decor and menu were consistent with that, along with Pacific Northwest riffs. The country pate appetizer was excellent, with delicious chunks of port and chicken served alongside crusty baguette slices, pickled vegs and tangy mustards. The butter croissant was flaky and decadently buttery. Both were a great setup for our main dishes, including the fresh salade nicoise which was filled with fresh, crisp vegetables, tender fingerling potatoes, delicious tuna, hard boiled egg, and briny olive tapenade on crostini, as well as rich brioche French toast nestled among fresh berries, and a tender French rolled omelette containing cheese, escarole and chopped herb that came along with a juicy chicken sausage and breakfast potatoes. While on the higher price point side, it was a great dining experience and look forward to trying other menu items on our next visit

They do give you a side of kimchi to go with it, but I didn't love the kimchi it came with. I'm used to getting kimchi from Hmart or other Asian grocery stores but this was pretty mid to me. Maybe it's a bit less trendy because there aren't many main-course options, but everything I've tried here has been consistently delicious. Overall, it's just a comfortable, inviting spot that's perfect when you want good food and a relaxed drink. Also staff are friendly and welcoming. I've been back many times and will definitely keep coming.

The scallops were just the right amount of seared and while there were only four scallops, there were plenty of green beans and mushrooms to fill me up. The puree was flavorful and I couldn't get enough of it! For desert, I ordered the Gateau Basque au Fromage, the chocolate cheesecake. The portions were generous and the cheesecake was decadent without being overly sweet. The restaurant itself may be hard to find since it's tucked away in the coner but if you follow the red neon sign, you will find it if you just follow the narrow long hallway! It's a little more on the expensive side, but worth it for the thoughtfully created dishes. This is a great spot to impress someone who is visiting the area (like me)!
