Caesar's has been a favorite of mine since high school, so we're two decades strong now. I like their simple and consistent sandwiches, my favorite is the Turkey, just had lettuce, mayo and peppers. I also love their giant sandwiches for parties! They have family take and bake meals, the garlic chicken is so good! Recommend adding it to your easy week day meal rotation! Comes with bread, a side and salad. They also have my favorite clam chowder, maybe favorite even over Splash I recommend online ordering so you don't have to wait, their service is quick but they can get busy! Delicious as ever! I had to leave them a second review just to sing the praises of their pickled tongue sandwich. It has become one of my recent obsessions. Speaking of obsessions, Caesar's in general remains one for me and my whole family. My family loves when the group text says,"I'm getting Caesar's on the way home. Send your orders in now". A sure fire way of being the family favorite for the night. The folks serving the delicious food are still nice as can be. The prices are still astonishingly affordable. I almost always grab my sandwich and lasagna to go, but the interior is so cute I hope to make time to sit and enjoy my meal there in the near future. read more

It's a great stable in the community and I really enjoy their food, but I went into a little bit of a hiccup this holiday season as I didn't realize they were not doing catering if you didn't pre-order. I had called a couple days earlier to ask if they had any supplies, they said they would, but no one had mentioned I had to place the order ahead of time. It was my mistake. I should have asked a little bit further detail, but I was depending on them for a family get together items. Lesson learned for next time, but it would would've been appreciated if they had provided that information on their website so I would've known for that time. read more

First time here and I can't believe I have been missing this place all this time. What an absolute gem of a place for Bakersfield. This sandwich shop does it right and from some of the best sides you could ask for with so many options. I did the deep pit with salsa, with the ranch pasta, stuff peppers and spicy olives. Looking for something cold and refreshing...this is it!!! The stuffed peppers might be my new weekly snack I must have at home with those spicy olives. Actually goes well with a drink out on a patio as just a good daily snack. The sandwich was perfect and enjoyed the sesame roll with a good side salsa to accompany it. Even here a few times! I've only had the smoked turkey sandwich but it's always amazing. So clean and flavorful! Really decent prices! Every time I make it to Bakersfield I stop to have one of the great sandwiches they offer. Never had a bad meal!!

Their sandwich was great! I loved the bread and fresh ingredients. I could've used a little. Ore oil and vinegar, but maybe the bread would've gotten soggy. I definitely think they know what they're doing! The red potato and blue cheese salad was really good! It had red onions, blue cheese, and had a great bite to it, a couple of the potatoes were underdone, but it was still enjoyable. It was very busy, but the food came out fast! I loved looking at everything they had for sale such as meats and cheeses, can't wait to go back and shop! It was inviting and cute. My husband was disappointed I didn't bring home the pickled tongue. I'll have to post about that in my next review! read more

I have been coming to this location for the past 15 years and they are hands down my favorite sandwich in all of Bakersfield. Caesar's deli has quality meats you can taste and their flavors here are so good! There are two sandwiches here that I can not reccomend enough, the Caesar's special and the deep pit beef sandiwch. Both sandwiches are a 10 out of 10 and are so damn good! Of course the special is a cold sandwich and the deep pit is a hot sandwich so keep that in mind if your looking to order. This last time I went with a deep pit and that sandwich is HUGE. Packed with so much flavorful beef and the bbq sauce that is paired with this sandwich is amazing. I was so full when I was done eating, for $11 bucks, not bad at all. Overall, make sure to give this place a try. They are a Bakersfield Staple and it shows in their food. One of my absolute favorite places to eat. From cold sandwiches to hot Caesar's Deli knocks it out the park. Try the spicy chipotle and it'll blow your mind. First time here... The place is really cute on the inside, and they offer some Italian specialties, like desserts, pasta, and tomatoes apart from the sandwiches and other foods. I wasn't sure what to order, however I had a specific sandwich in mind. I wanted something with Mortadella and cheese. The staff at the front counter was very friendly, and I told her that it was my first time in here, and asked her if there was such a thing where I can create my own sandwich. And she said that there is and it's called a CYO. I ordered a mortadella and smoked Gouda cheese sandwich on a toasted sesame hoagie roll with lettuce, mayo , and oil and vinegar. Was sliced on the thicker side, not the thin, deli style, which I love you! It is very good quality and very tasty. The cheese was not that great, so I took it out of my sandwich. They must make their own bread here... Because it was amazing. It was soft and crispy on the outside, and on the inside is very soft and fluffy and soaked up the mayo and the oil and vinegar nicely. The sandwich can be easily shared if you're looking for a snack and if you're hungry, it's quite filling. They do not skimp on the meat!! Cesar's Deli has been my go to lately when it comes to catering! I will say the food is absolutely tasty and prices are great! The Penne pasta with the Alfredo sauce has been one of the top hits for sure! Whenever I've arrived with that pasta in hand you can literally smell the deliciousness as soon as I walk in. In the last two weeks I've ordered from here about 3 times and every office always asked where the food was from before I left because they enjoyed it so much. The sandwich platters are huge, and feed much more then you would think especially when paired with pasta. The cookie tray is also so good! So don't skip out on dessert if you're ordering from the catering menu. So worth it! The staff is also super great, and always provide serving spoons and help me carry out my order! read more

On this particular day I was craving a Meatball sub and was cruising the Yelp page and saw that Caesars deli was nearby, so I decided to give it a try. It's one of those places that I'd heard of but never really though about trying , well shame on me cause I'd been missing out all this time. This spot is not big at all but just right for me, a low key spot to go in and have a quite lunch. After looking at the menu I almost went with the Deep Pit sandwich but the guy said they were out so Meatball it was. I really liked the fact that they used the Sesame sub sandwich bread, and the meatballs were plentiful.As for the sauce it was good, maybe just a little more salt but that's probably just me. They also offer Splash cafe clam chowder, in a cup or bowl. They have a full service deli with lunch meats and different types of salads. And the prices are not bad at all either. I went to this deli ONCE about 2 years ago, the adult female "helping" me was rude and surly. When my sandwich was finally done I asked what kind of cheese had been put on it and she snarled - there is NO cheese on this sandwich. I asked her if she could add some, she snarled again, said nothing, and reopened the sandwich and slapped a piece of cheese on it. Caesar's has been a favorite since the 80's back when it was on Niles St. I love that the sandwich's still are made the same, please don't change anything, my go to is the Venice! Our cashier was a very friendly guy we ordered salami, ham and cheese to make a charcuterie board and he was making sure he sliced them just as we preferred. I appreciate his service and attention to detail. The only negative was the eating area was not clean, tables needed cleaning and the floor was a filthy mess. read more

No customers were there when I walked in and ordered a turkey sandwich. I also ordered a small container of the mushrooms. The roll for my sandwich was cut crooked. Like the person had their eyes closed. The bottom was way too thin on one end okay for the other end. Needless to say difficult to eat the last half. The container for the mushrooms leaked most of the liquid by the time I got home. There are lots of places out there for a sandwich and no reason to return to a place that just doesn't care. I haven't been in a long time because the service and food are usually subpar but I thought I'd give it another shot. Today we went and they gave us someone else's order after confirming my name. We realized when we got home and drove back to get the right order. When we returned they were dismissive of the issue. We got what we thought was our correct order this time however when we opened it up. We saw that they messed up our order a second time. Caesars CAN be good, it's a Bakersfield classic, but don't expect to be blown away. I have ordered the Roma for over 20 years and you HAVE to get a side of meat sauce or it's just the driest sandwich ever. That being said, if you know how to order you can get a great meal out of this place. The sides are great but very small so pay attention to what size side you are ordering. The olives and ranch pasta are my go tos. The fountain is nice to sit next to on a nice day. Word of warning though.... Don't do their take and bake lasagna, it's awful my family literally wouldn't eat it. read more
