Okay! why does free lunch hit different every single time?! I attended a professional development training and they surprised us with these lunch boxes! Yay! Tell me why I was immediately in love. The moment I opened it, I was greeted with a thick, generously stacked turkey sandwich that looked like it meant business. We're talking layers on layers of tender, juicy turkey, piled high with that crisp, freshly shredded lettuce that gives the perfect crunch in every bite. Even writing about it makes my mouth water all over again! The bread? Soft, fresh, and just the right amount of pillowy to hold it all together without falling apart. As if the sandwich wasn't already the star of the show, the box came fully loaded with a chocolate chip cookie,, a bag of chips for that salty crunch moment, and a little sampler of macaroni salad that was slathered in Italian dressing. So tasty! Honestly? Mouthwatering from start to finish. Whoever put these boxes together understood the assignment! (Haha) This is definitely a must try when hungry! read more

Once in awhile we crave the sandwiches from Caesar's and it's funny that we didn't even know this location existed until I pulled them up on Yelp. Since finding out about this location, we have visited this place a few times now. I really love the old school feel to this sandwich spot. You can either dine in or order your sandwich to go. Caesar's is hit and miss for me. Once in a great while it's one of the best sandwiches I've had and sometimes it's just okay. One thing I do know for sure is that I keep coming back because they have "that" clam chowder. My only complaint is that they are pricey and you can get a superior sandwich from other places. Parking is a little bit crazy during lunch time. Staff is always super nice here and the lines go pretty quick. I don't know if they have more than the 2 locations I know of. This location is not as fancy as the one on Brimhall, but their sandwiches are just as good. read more

Super chill spot, a lot of people showed up to order for lunch. The service is great, very friendly. Okay about the food... idk why anyone would think to put mustard on an Italian sub or even on a deep pit sandwich. I feel on love with the Italian sub from L.A. and I am trying to find a spot here in my hometown and im coming up short. Yes the meat and cheese were good, but the bread is too thick or they just don't add the EVOO. Like I mentioned idk why anyone would add mustard to a deep pit sandwich bjt to each their own. I will say I highly recommend asking them to go EASY on the mustard as you can clearly see in pics they go HEAVY lol. I have never had pickled tongue but one of the sandwiches they carry is called a combination sub and it was in my opinion better than the classic Italian. Overall I can see why this place is still around. Good bang for your buck but I have to continue my mission on finding a great Italian sub. read more

We absolutely love this place. They have the best sandwiches and the staff is amazing too. On this visit we got the Venice and hot grilled chicken sandwich. All I can say OMG this was good. I love the grilled chicken sandwich. I add pepper jack cheese to it and man oh man it's good. The Venice is a cold sandwich and is so good too. They cater as well and have a small case where you can get pickled tongue and a few different pastas. Not every location has the grilled chicken though and they should because it's really that good. read more

Dirty, expensive, cheap food, little sliced pieces of bland meat for meatball sandwich. Underneath deli counter is filthy dirty. Marinara sauce has no taste. Bread is cheap and seems like walmart buns. The food inside the deli case seemed old and spoiled. Just not at all professional and not at all recommend. read more

ITS SIMPLE, they know how to produce a REAL sub type sanwhich at a great price , have hot soup , potatoes , a cold box with italian meats , and jars of italian veggies to make even the soprano if you know how , meatball is always very good , tri tip also and a fantastic pickled tongue sandwich , and they also carry pepsi and coke, and 7up , sprite and some great sodas , with cases available for purchase , staff is very helpful and polite , a great stop for us again , a nice , no , a great change from subway's sloppy messes they ask $$$ for , well done Caesar's , well done. read more

We went in to order lunch and ended up leaving. We stood there for 3-4 minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge us but instead the employee stood there talking about baseball with another customer and did not even say one word to us. Disappointing as we have been coming here for years read more

Great hole in the wall family deli. Lots of goodies a available here, if you just want lunch there are delicious sandwiches, If you want to get dinner for the family there are to go trays of pasta, if you want something for a group you can order party and sandwich trays. The service is warm and friendly and the interior has some casual seating. I got the tritip sandwich and my friend got the combination. Great soft bread and tense flavor meats. Highly recommend! read more

Caesar's II is one of the few things - and I mean few things- that miss about Bakersfield. I put it in the category of Dewars, Frugatti's and Rosemary's. Why fancier Italian restaurants and ice cream shops you ask? They are often imitated but never duplicated. The flavor is very unique and flavorful and you can't find it anywhere else! Caesars II sandwiches were always unique and flavorful. I especially like the bread they use as I can't find it anywhere but Bakersfield. My go to was the turkey sandwich which they always liked the toppings on as long as I asked. Definitely go with the oil and vinegar on your sandwiches there. You will not be disappointed! read more

Most of the time it's delicious but we just got old bread Check your bread don't make sandwiches on old bread trying to save a buck

I really love a good lasagna. I realize that buying it from a restaurant or deli probably is not as good as homemade however, I have bought lasagna from Caesars deli on several occasions. I usually buy the pan size which feeds 6 to 8 people. I have found their lasagna to be very, very good and almost as good as my homemade I would highly recommend them and their lasagna for anyone wanting a good meal quick and easy. read more

I used Caesar's II Delicatessen to order a meat & cheese tray for our family's Christmas Eve party. The tray comes with meats, cheeses, olives, and a bag of Pyrenees sourdough French bread party slices. The tray I purchased served 14 people. I've ordered these trays thru the years and they never disappoint. The folks at Caesar's II are just the friendliest! Even though the place may be packed and busy busy, the staff is nothing but calm and courteous! There is a great atmosphere and you'll feel welcome as soon as you walk in. Give them a go...you won't regret it. PS Caesar's II has great freshly made sandwiches, salads, desserts, etc. read more

The food was a decent but inside was over 80 degrees and very uncomfortable. Made me wonder how safe deli goods were in a sauna environment. The customers were complaining, I just listened because I thought it might be a one day AC issue? Personally I will stick to Caesar's on Calloway because it's very nice! read more

Their Turkey and provolone is delicious, but the real hidden gem is the pit beef. It rivals some of the bbq spots in town! I also love all the variety of different salads they offer (potato, pasta, macaroni, etc), it takes me back to my moms homemade summer bbq cooking. - Also great for catering! Their sandwich platters are fantastic. read more

For stars for the worst sandwich I've ever had. My wife had the grilled chicken sandwich. She said it was terrible. We were very hungry. She ate hers, but didn't like it. I got through 3/4 of mine Couldn't take it anymore. Note. I did ask for extra pickles and peppers. But most of it was pickles, very small amount of peppers no lettuce, and hardly any pastrami. Very disappointed. I'll never go back there again read more

I can't tell what I like more, the ambiance, or the decor. I have a hard time figuring out which i like more, the ambiance, or the decor. the roma sandwich is the ultimate sleeper shadow wizard gang choice of sandwich because it is so infatuating with the perfect blend of salamis, peppers, and cheese together. I ate the entire bag of chips including the wrapper so i don't know what brand they were but the jalapeño chips are always a must. I saw that they had ice cream and gave it a shot, 1/4 for 99¢ like you know i'm hopping on that deal faster than a crackhead on a pipe. So the awesome worker went and defrosted the ice cream (that's beyond an extra mile i mean, we're talking at least 2 miles) and came back with like half a pint and let me take it. THEY DONT DO THIS ANYWHERE ELSE ARE WE FR RIGHT NOW? Great deli great place great people and even greater sandwiches (and wraps!) read more

I've been going here since I was a kid but hadn't gone in years and was only reminded of it because I drive past it on the way to one of my jobs. So I decided to go on random Saturday - they're open 7 days a week which is a rarity for a local establishment these days. The interior looks just as I remembered with the little tables down the middle and a refrigerated section on the eastern wall. It was like going back in time and everything was untouched from memory. My go-to has always been the roast beef sandwich, and so I ordered that with everything on it plus a bag of Dirty brand potato chips. And the service is as friendly as always. Just like the interior, not a thing has changed about the food. They still use the same sesame roll that's slightly on the drier side but necessary to pair with the mayo and softer veggies. The meat and cheese were great as well. I enjoyed it at home with a soda and felt nostalgic bliss. I'm happy for the business to still be operational when so many local places have gone to wayside with the times and cheaper chain alternatives. It's reassuring that we can still get quality and support a business with roots here in town. read more

They have awesome service here and the sandwiches and clam chowder are really good. I even got a side of pickled tongue to go

I've been going to Caesars since I'm high school when I lived in Bakersfield, and had the chance to go there during a recent trip. Customer service was horrible. The lady at the counter didn't care to greet me nor make a parting comment. With that said, that would've been okay with me had the sandwich been decent but it wasn't. I got the turkey sandwich and there was barely any turkey on there and Im quite certain it was store bought. Not the good kind, the cheap thinly sliced kind. Never coming back here again. read more

I knew I was going to surprise my husband with lunch so I checked their menu before I went and decided what I was going to purchase. I walked into the business which is small, but clean. However it was very hot and muggy. It was a nice day outside they should have opened a door , it was obvious they refuse to use the AC. The woman behind the counter told me it would be just a minute, and somebody would be with me and have the gentleman standing next to her. Go in the back and get another woman to come take my order. I ordered a the Caesar special and. RAFA chicken bacon ranch. The young lady, taking my order, walked away spoke to the woman I originally talk to and came back and wrote down chicken wrap on my order. I explained no I wanted a Rafa chicken, bacon ranch. She looked at me blankly and then looked at the other woman. The other woman then looked at me and told me I was looking at the wrong menu for the wrong location I was looking for Brimhall, she was not polite about it. I expect she gets this all the time. I reviewed their small menu and ordered my sandwich, which ended up being a turkey breast. While I was standing and waiting for my order to be made, I reviewed and made sure that I was looking at the correct location and I explained this to the woman. She told me oh well, we can't do anything about that because it's on Yelp. I explained that they do have the option of updating their hours and their menu through Yelp. She then told me nobody was ever going to deal with it because the owner was a male. I got our sandwiches to go. I definitely think there are better sandwich options in Bakersfield. It's an awful lot of bread, and not very much substance and the service was crap. read more

I've always loved a ceasar's special sandwich and for some reason i never pick anything else it's just so perfect! I'm gonna force myself next time tho. Soooooooo delicious! I have been craving a sub that isn't from subway or togos and this reminded me of the local spot I use to go to with my gram. I've been back at least 20 times. I've tried most of their menu, and I've loved everything. Their deli selections are still some of my favorite treats, especially the stuffed peppers. They sell a chicken alfredo that's possibly better than your grandmother's. I'm still of the opinion that the Combo is the best sandwich in Bakersfield. Ask for it with extra pickled tongue. Oh, you can order sandwiches with extra or even double meat! That's handy. They'll also make sure to put a lot of the pickled tongue juices on the sandwich if you ask. DO THIS. Trust the fat man I know what I'm talking about. I showed up on Superbowl Sunday recently and their staff were slamming out platters of meat and cheese for people about to throw big parties. You could tell they were about to close and we're trying to get out of there, and yet they treated me like I was the most important person they'd seen all day. Heck, they treated the lady after me the same way. They're just nice folks. That's worth supporting. read more

Good sandwiches, ok chip and drink selection. Literally the last 4 out of 6 times my sandwich was made wrong, either something was added or was forgot to be added. Also depends on who makes the sandwich it will have different things that come with it. I keep coming back though because they are good, close by, and local owned, and I've gotten used to checking right away before I leave. Might help if the employees actually wrote the order down or something. Also can't add tip on card, that sucks for the employees. Maybe that's why they aren't as attentive. read more
