I recommend the business because the food was good, not excellent. My wife loved the sangeria but she said it would have been better if the glass was bigger and there was no fruit in the drink. The guacamole and chips were kind of expensive. Service was good sitting out side. I loved the inside of the restaurant but we sat out side. I will stay with the Mago Grill in Arlington Heights for the my Mexican food. I give it a strong 2 1/3 or a weak 3. It's new so I will give them another chance. Just will not order the guacamole. I like this place. Been here about 4-5 times.now since it opened. 2 dine in and 3 take out. Overall food is pretty good. My only complaint is for takeout i may or may not get salsa which is frustrating. They just opened so stkll figuring it out I think. read more

The food is fresh but lacking juiciness and depth of flavor. We had Al pastor taco dinner and adobo chicken. Tortillas are dull. Flan sauce has good flavor but has a tough texture. Good for a reasonably priced casual dinner. Atmosphere is bright and service is attentive and friendly. read more

Great food, really nice waitstaff. The place is hopping so I'm glad it's getting business. Smaller diner like venue with friendly bartenders. The reason for only 4 stars was the drinks. They are expensive and you don't get a lot. A lot of ice and after about 4 sips you're done. It super impressed by the taste either. I wouldn't buy a drink again there. Went tonight, a Monday, thinking it would be a slow night. The place was packed. You order with the cashier, get a number, sit at any open table and your order is brought to your table. While I'm not a fan of that system, the food was delicious. Mahi Mahi Veracruz was excellent as were my husband's brisket tacos. Good pour on cocktails, beer, wine and many tequila options. First time trying this place so I ordered 3 tacos. The short-rib taco was excellent, the carnitas was OK and the steak taco was totally tasteless. Served with what cannot be identified as any salsa I've ever experienced. Sat outdoors, service was good and ambience was pleasant. Please provide bottles of different salsas for the tacos. Quac and chips were good but not worth $14. The indoor dining room is too crowded. I don't want to be sitting on top of other guests. read more

First time at Cabo, the place was packed (Sat night) which was a good sign. However, it was hard to distinguish if you seat yourself, is there a hostess, what's the process. A bit confusing. A lady finally spotted us and put our name on a piece of paper. When you're next, you stop off at your table (to put coats) then go to the counter to place your order. There is no wait staff, only busers. So if you want another margarita, you have to go back up to the counter. Not a fan. While attentive, the busers are constantly buzzing by eyeballing the table. Made me feel like I had to hurry up and eat. Also not a fan. The food was good though (beware: no prices listed on the drinks menu!) Will maybe try again in the spring or summer when we can sit outside. read more

This place is owned by the same owners as Grill House. The ambiance is nice. It's a small place with tables somewhat close together. It's a bit confusing where to walk in (doors on 2 sides of the restaurant) and where to order ( no sign). The food is mediocre. It's much better eating there but we still had soggy tacos and chicken quesadillas. The service was ok. Staff could be friendlier but I'm sure that will improve with time as this place is new. There are better options out there that I'll frequent more often but this place might be our last minute option if we're already in that shopping center. read more

We've tried this place a couple times and had to walk out both times due to lack of attention. They are relatively new so we will likely come back in the summer and give them one last try on their patio. I'm concerned they haven't staffed properly because when we showed up, they were busy but not slammed by any means. In both cases nobody acknowledged us, not even a glance, at the bar prior to us deciding to leave. If you are planning to go, bring your patience. Here's to them hopefully figuring it out. read more

We had high hopes.. a new fun restaurant to add to the area! Newly opened, maybe about a month and half at this point. Attempted dinner, but it was cramped and chaotic. Decided to try for lunch (hoping for less chaos, which it was). Came in with large party, we arrived first and was given menus to look ahead. We went to the counter to order; Ordered a salad, was told they no longer had it since they didn't have the ingredients (tomatoes, onions, avocado, radishes, peppers and jicama). Odd since the dishes between our whole table had all of those ingredients in the dishes. Ok.. moved on, ordered guacamole and chips; menu $11, receipt $14. My husband inquired and was told "they are old menus" aside from the fact that the restaurant has only been opened for two months or less and had "old" menus. We were told that there was nothing they could do. For a $15 margarita and other overpriced items the fact that a new restaurant wouldn't honor and make right was disappointing. Hoping the food would blow us away, it did not. Bland flavors, overly dressed dishes didn't add much to the dish. The over abundance of staff was uncomfortable as they all stand around and stare at you. Sadly the entire experience was disappointing! read more

After watching the dilapidated Browns chicken place be dismantled, a New Mexican restaurant has come to replace that eyesore, and today it was open! I have been searching for some delicious Mexican in my neighborhood, and after eating a couple of tacos, my prayers have been answered. Cabo Cucina is like a short visit to Mexico, with colorful modern decor, a full bar and lots of seating. I went to the corner of the restaurant and ordered a Baja fish taco and a Taco de Picadillo. Asking for water, I was given a number and told water would be brought. Nice cold water in a refillable bottle came to my table with glass! Nice touch. The tacos came out shortly and I started in on the fish. Hot and fresh fried to perfection with a bed of slaw and cream avocado, it was delicious and filling. But I was not going to leave without eating the beef one, too. Plenty of food! The beef was good, but a bit spicy for me. My only suggestion would be to offer a grilled fish taco in addition to the very excellent fried version. Fairly extensive menu and it all looks great. I did not have a drink, but, if you're in the mood, I'll bet they make awesome drinks from the bar that runs the length of the restaurant. Next time, I'll try a Margarita. Go now before it's discovered and you have to wait. Too delicious to wait for. Good luck to them and I thank them for turning a blighted property into a shining Mexican star! So excited to finally have a "high end" Mexican restaurant in the area without the high end prices. Just left Cabo and food drinks were amazing. The spicy skinny was spicy enough without being overwhelming. We ordered guac queso fundido, shrimp, Baja and tuna tacos. All were amazing but I'd say my fav was the shrimp tacos. The corn tortillas are house made and absolutely fabulous. Although we were so full we did try the flan and tres leches for dessert and both were delicious . This really is a little hidden gem in our area! So excited to have this restaurant available future date nights! read more
